  1. This one will be over early and often!! As a matter of fact it's already over! Jasper kids know already they can't beat Tyner this year! Mark my words..Tyner may put up 60 as well! Even if they don't Jasper won't score more than 2 tds. They don't have wingt personal! Tyner will dominate!

  2. I'm sure Huntington and Lake County are very good teams with good speed..they will fight out the West because there going to see South Pittsburgh from the east this year and they are loaded..really good on defense! And scored 63 to last week?? They are so fast and physical but they are so deep!! They have a lot of good players that play hard..they look like they have that vision..you can read teams sometimes...there my pick as of right now!!

I am currently a student at the University of Tennessee. I have 1 yr of HS coaching experience with 2 yrs of student defensive experience at the University of Tennessee ('15,'16). I am currently looking for a job on the defensive side of the ball on a varsity staff in the knoxville area. For further inquiries, resume, or to learn more about qualifications please contact me at utkstudenthscoach@gmail.com.

Well I think it's great to have a young man want to get into coaching..its changed so much through the years..the new generation needs to ease on in and fill us old timers spots..lol. My advice..although I think it's great getting your name on here but I would contact the coaches where you think you might want to coach..that way you may develop a favorite or maybe they would be willing to get you started or know someone that will?? Coaches know everybody in the field. Contrary to belief coaches are pretty good guys for the most part..lol..Good luck young man! Follow your dreams!

Per stats he played in 12 out of possible 15 games played. Not sure if 3 games missed were all regular season games. Also heard all State is decided based on regular season. Also not sure if when nominated a position is specified or offense/defense. Do they look at total body of work for the season on both sides of the ball? I guess it just doesn’t make much sense when you play the biggest majority of games and your defensive stats support getting the nod on the defensive side of the ball especially when you probably just barely missed out with your stats supporting getting the nod at RB or ATH on the offensive side. You take Wingo or Petty either one off and Whitwell feels that loss big time against a good opponent. That is the impact an all State player has on a team.

    I totally agree!

  5. I agree with everyone that Wingo is a all-state player. I am suggesting this may be why he didn't make it...its just a assumption. I believe he missed 4 maybe 5 games and his stats suffered because of lost time compared to players that played more time? I don't believe it was because of his ability as much as it would be that. He is all-state caliber just hurt buy the numbers..i don't know the exact numbers but he probably finished with around 1000 yds rushing on huge avg....but if he played those other games he has 1600-1700 yds?? Just a thought.

    Ensley- Huntingdon

    Willis- Greenback

Tipton or Nelson - South Pittsburg

These kids will make at least the semifinalist list.

I don't know how this young man fits in Griders plans but I notice a Frame kid to that was a sophomore. He seems to have potential too?
