  1. From what I have read about Mitchell, your game plan for LC to prevent a loss is obvious & correct. The one added task I think has to happen is that LC needs to sacrifice one db to hit #7 hard (not jam) every snap right off the line. He seems to be the biggest key to the fast strike play other than the qb of course. This may cause another receiver to have a big game though because someone over the top will be needed as well for #7. The most important part will be getting to the qb quick. I have watched the Cats for years and do not remember a LC team with more heart & guts than this one (except the '74 team that was sooo strong). This has been a fun year as a spectator and I thank each and every one of you players for the show.

Not to be picky,But I think they were 4-6 in 74. 1975 They were 9-2 with a 1st round play-off loss to Maplewood in the Clinic Bowl.Maplewood boasted Preston Brown and E.J. Junior. Both of whom went on to star in the SEC and the NFL.In any event.Congratulations and Good luck to the Wildcats!

  2. Gosh!! all of these Wayne County player numbers being thrown around... Sounds like this should be a college team... Enjoy this "big whippin" "could get ugly" win your gunna put on a four loss Collinwood team because it will be your last this year... After this week, your going to have step away from that sissy scheduled you've played this year, and get exposed. You know, just like last year... You WC boys that play basketball need to start warming up, you'll be in the gym soon!!!

Skeeter, do you always have to down this Wayne County team?......The Florida Gators are undefeated, but do you ever hear anyone talking bad about Tebow? Show a little respect to these guys or stop posting on CoachT :ugeek:

Skeeter is from Waynesboro,He's just trying a little bit of reverse psychology motivation on the boys from the boro. He's relly A Die Hard Athletic Supporter of the Wildcats.

  3. With the way that the TSSAA butchered the Z-Plan this past weekend it is obvious that this plan will be short lived. I already know that the majority of the coaches (especially in 3A, 4A, 5A, & 6A) are ready to scrap the current playoff system and go back to the old plan we had from 1995-2008 (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, & 5A). IF THAT IS THE CASE THOUGH I MUST SAY THAT THE TSSAA SHOULD JUST THROW THIS YEAR OUT ALTOGETHER BECAUSE THEY WOULD BE ADMITTING THAT THE "Z PLAN" WAS A JOKE!!!!!

In my opinion they should keep the districts EXACTLY as they are right now. The TSSAA needs to quit thinking about $$$$$ for once and they need to instead start thinking about GREAT HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL. That is what has been missing for a long time now.

The TSSAA needs to scrap the whole 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, & 6A playoff system and let the postseason instead just be decided between classes A, AA, & AAA. The TSSAA needs to take the top two teams from each district across the state and make them automatic postseason qualifiers. #1 seeds should host and #2 seeds should travel. This puts tremendous importance on winning regular season district championships again and teams like "Oakhaven" aren't hosting state playoff games.

For the first year of the system District 1 should be matched up with District 2, 3 with 4, 5 with 6, 7 with 8.....................and so on. In the second year of the system they should invert it to where District 1 is matched up with District 4, District 2 is matched up with District 3, District 5 is matched up with District 8, District 6 is matched up with District 7.........................and so on. In the third year they should match District 1 with District 3, District 2 with District 4, District 5 with District 7, District 6 with District 8.........................and so on.

This allows us to skip the idea of having the "same ole games" play out in the "same ole rounds" of the playoffs as we've pretty much had to see for the last 15 years now. It also allows us to reward DISTRICT CHAMPIONS by letting them be the ONLY TEAMS TO HOST!!!!!

If the TSSAA would use common logic on this one then they would see that under this scenario 3 CHAMPIONSHIPS are better than 6 CHAMPIONSHIPS (and even 5 CHAMPIONSHIPS).

If the TSSAA does elect to go back to the "old plan" then you HEARD IT HERE FIRST that it is a decision that was made by coaches and board members representing coaches from upper class schools (ie Riverdale, Oakland, Blackman, Smyrna, etc.). Sorry we all can't have our own politician get on the radio every week and start pushing for plans that favor "our teams"...............that my friends is the truth of the matter

For example, How is it fair for a school like Lewis Co. (587) to compete with the likes of Marshall(825), Giles (955), and Page (884) on a year to year basis?

Wait until after the playoffs when I unveil the Bertier plan. It will be fair balanced and I think people will like it.

Last time I checked you can only play 11 at a time.So I guess Lewis Co. wants to be back with schools who have enrollments of 200 to 300 so they cna be the big school. When they were beating the bigger schools,It wasn't a concern. Junkall plans and play 10 games and let the polls decide.

  4. Who are the 6-A teams in Craigmont's district?Lawrence County only has 2(Lincoln & Franklin County)

Millington, Arlington, Bolton, Cordova. What qualifying slot did Lawrence Co. get? They were not a wild card were they because they are hosting. Craigmont has speed and size but are not fancy in what they do. If they come ready to play you will have your hands full trying to score and trying to stop them from moving the ball. If you have a good defense you can stay in the game but you will need to have your offense working well to be able to score on them. I saw earlier that you were a wing t similar to Millington, Quick note: don't try to run sideline to sideline, you will loose, even though they are big in the middle and have good LB play the key to success is straight at them. There is success to be had and that was the only success Millington had.

Lawrence Couty was runner-up in their district behind Columbia (defeated LCHS in a close one week-0)Giles Co.(4-a) defeated The wildcats 34-7 week 1. LCHS has been on aroll ever since. They are playing extremely good football at the time you want.i just wondered if Craigmont's 7-3 record was an indication of a strong district with several 6-a teams and it appears so.I hope its good weather with a big crowd.i'm sure it'll be a very good game.

  5. One of the only games we played in the dry this year was against.....SH...and they only played a half  ::

Guess that's why Giles ran a trick play (flea flicker) with 3 minutes left.

Yeah, I totally agree with the sarcasm of this comment. Had to pad the stats. Wonder what they'll do this week. 2 for 8 week before last really doesn't help your stats!!!

    Crybabies!

  6. I've been on the other side of that coin myself and you're right it does taste bad, real bad. Having experienced losing and losing big made me a better sport. It taught me that there is no need in running the score up with your 1st string. If you put the 2nd team in and they still score, okay that's fine. Just because someone used to bully you doesn't mean you can bully other people when you get big.

Awe :thumb: ....poor lil Mikey.......did you used to get bullied back in the day......Thanks for opening up, that sheds some light on your severe angst.

Ha Wow that was a very poor interpritation of my last post. I was refering to being on a football team that only won one game. Angst huh? I didn't realize you're vocabulary was that big :hungry: Do you know what that word means? It means fear. That doesn't really apply to me I don't think. How have I expressed fear?

You don't like CAPITAL letters! :popcorneater:
