Don't think so, BCB retired when his son retired from wrestling previously. He hinted in the above posts that he is planning the same this year. Its time to go. Sorry Cupcake, I talk to high school coach's everyday and a number are looking forward to BCB's retirement. Why don't they get on here and throw their team and wrestlers under the bus, so that idiot's can attack? For the same reason I am not putting my name out there because, then my team, wrestlers and school would be attacked. Just waiting for the retirement notice and now one day closer!

If other coaches wanted to attach BCB, they could follow your lead and hide behind an anonymous screen name. I have a suspicion any coaches that want to talk with BCB know him and talk to him quite regularly.

No its not but it is instituitional related and that's been the problem all along; internal instituitional issues. This is more evidence that more than a coaching change is needed. MBA will not recover until that happens.

This is a Division II football forum and I just don't see the need to drag this into the discussion. It's quite obvious MBA has significant issues to deal with on the football side, and those have been, and should be, freely discussed here--no need to drag other unrelated issues into this thread.

Wow.....so I guess the BA incident of the mid 90's is old news....MBA now gets strapped to the recruiting whipping post for the next 15-20 years......takes all the focus off BA! Seriously...this case makes the BA ticket/letter for spring practice fiasco look like childs play....this is a MUCH worse situation than BA's....it appears the MBA administration has lost control of what is going on at the school...sorry to hear the findings. As a DII fan, I have always admired MBA's program.....very disappointing.

While I agree these allegations are more egregious than he CA issues of several years ago, the difference is that BA decided to attempt to flex its muscles and fight--taking the issue to a much more high profile level. MBA is smart to take its punsihment and move on.

Bowers and Quarles are both top notch coaches...and recruiters.

CBHS is not in Hawaii this year but neither will they be at Father Ryan. CBHS used their one long, out-of-state trip to attend the Kansas City Classic this past weekend.

 

The weekend of the Father Ryan Invitational CBHS is attending the Gateway to the Best Duals at Lindenwood, MO where they will see some tough competition from the MO, IN, and IL area.

 

CBHS will be attending the GP West Invitational at Brentwood the following weekend.

As I understand it, they usually try to put Baylor and McCallie in opposite brackets; since they already play twice in the year, they want to avoid a third, if possible.

The D2 schools may have been founded on certain principles whether they were different or similar. However now the common principle is money. Got to keep up with the Jones'.

Based on recent history, I'd say it's "keep up with the Bowers'".

I think all the D2 schools are founded on fine Christian principles and it doesn't serve anyone well to get into a size measuring contest on whose is better than the others. Each school is different in their philosophy on the best way to go about things and as such one must find the right fit for teachers, coaches and students.

 

I'm not going to put words in the mouth of anyone but one must remember that comments in articles can be taken out of context and that sound bytes are not the whole story. In my experience with Coach Potter, I have not seen him to be demeaning or bullying, demanding yes.

I do think it's a win-win situation for BA and for McCallie.

Not trying to make any BA supporters mad, but from the outside looking in, BA reminds me a bit of Alabama after Bear left, with (obviously) Flatt being the Bear. Flatt did some great things there and there seems to be a feeling among some that no one has lived up to those standards; the emergence of Ensworth has obviously had a major impact on all D-II programs but am I off base in my compasrison?
