  1. Hey, I just thought Id let everyone know that FRA just beat South Fulton 5-2

Also, being an FRA fan with not much softball interest before this year, how does the tournament format work? What are the scenarios? If FRA loses the first game against GP, is their next game still for the championship or do they go to another bracket and have to work their way back to the finals? Or do I have no idea what Im talking about?

And congratulations to Laura Matthews on being named to the MTSCA south team! Go FRA!

  2. Looks like my concerns were well founded abour the Lady Bucs hitting. They were shut out by FRA 1-0. If you can't score, you can't win!

BTW, I agree strongly that Goodpasture is the favorite to win it all and would be in any of the classes. (See my post above)

yea, the shutout had nothing to do with FRAs defense and pitching right? FRA has played solid ball all year. Their defense and pitching has even allowed them to come with just a few runs of Goodpasture. GP is obviously the favorite, but FRA would love to get a fifth shot at them in the finals...

  3. everyone needs to just stop complaining and deal with the results of the championships. if the roles were reveresed and the small public schools were "winning everything", i don't know if the private schools would be complaining like this. but for some reason people can't deal with the fact that they are losing to private school kids. it's just like everyone hating Notre Dame football and Duke basketball. I question whether there would be the same hatred for Oklahoma if they had the same number of national titles as Notre Dame or Kentucky if they had enjoyed similar success as Duke in recent years in basketball. everyone will never be able to agree on this subject no matter what anyone says in this discussion

    good call

  4. it's me-i suggest you do not read any of my postings if you are annoyed!

seriously itsme- you are obviously the only one whos annoyed. Everyone else who reads his posts finds complete enjoyment in his arrogance and stupidy. I personally cant wait to get on coacht every day to see what hes posted.

  5. My team and all those other teams will back it up when we beat the living crap out of Siegel come November.

But you weren't talking about this up-coming season, you were talking about last season. You lost, DEAL WITH IT!

Rough words coming from a Freshman ;)

  6. For what it's worth, I think he'll triple. He'll run a 4:09 1600, a 9:04 3200, and a 1:54 800.

Those are exactly what Ive predicted except that I dont think he'll run 9:04. I think a slightly slower time will still win, and since he already has that state record (8:45) he will just relax and go for the mile record...

  7. Does anybody know if the state decathlon results are up yet? I have heard they Micheal Bingham broke 7,000 points in division II today, but have heard nothing else about any other divisions.

Just use this as the thread to post results if you would like.

Bingham won DII with a score of 7096 followed by Buck (BA) and Joyner won A-AA with a score of 6681(?) followed by Souder (FRA). When I left, AAA still had to wrap up the 9th event and start the 1500...

  8. skip- stop asking new questions after i ask an important one. its obvious he can only answer one question at a time, so im gonna try this again.

Was the guy who qualified in the 1600 part of your 8:18?

  9. The Third from CPA

yes, in a shocking turn of events- the third (trent knoeghwlstieighne) decides that A-AA is too weak for him, and he withdraws from the tournament (actually hes already out-- that makes that part easy) and then transfers to BHS and enters the AAA tournament, where he proceeds to wail on them harder than he does a pony mcgriddle...

  10. I wish those four who said no would tell us why

The only way I can see him not doing it is if he goes for a 4:05 or something crazy in the mile- then one of his BA teammates might beat him in the 800, but Strang will be just as tired as Bumbi after the 3200 and 1600.

Wow, I didnt realize that only 2 had ever done it- Austin Weaver was so close in 2001- (<1 second away in the 800m)

  11. Go FRA! I think that its a huge dissapointment to see FRA matched up with a tougher team than HFA, but I guess thats the way things go sometimes. I hope FRA doesnt worry about seedings and #### like that, but goes out there and shows the state what they can do- Ive seen them play and their pretty unbelievable....

  12. my guess is because they took out one of the guys on that 8:18 to qualify in the mile, the next guy was much slower, and the race was slwoer in general, so they didnt have to go fast to qualify. Please correct me if Im wrong...

  13. Thanks to everyone who send me there meet results I now have all but Division II East results posted on the track and field results page Click

If anyone has the results from Division II East Sectional meet please send them to me results@tennesseerunner.com

    check your email

  14. does anyone know what elizabethton ran in the 4x8 in their secrional meet?

Heres the list of qualifying times

1 David Lipscomb High School 8:19

    2 Franklin Road Academy 8:23

    3 Elizabethton 8:37.80

    4 Mitchell 8:39.60

    5 Westsid 8:42.57

    6 Chattanooga Christian School 8:46.84

    7 Fulton 8:52.20

8 Walker Valley High School 8:54.17

WV should take time off with Caleb added

CCS didnt get Dorn out in anything open, so theyll more than likely put him on

Elizabethton will probably be faster, although they did qualify a guy in the mile, so if hes part of that 8:18, that might throw them off a bit...

  15. its funny that no one mentions bumbalough

    ....

fastest time in the nation. i think his chances of kicking everyone's ###### are pretty fair.

if you look at one of my earlier posts, I mentioned Bumbi- but this thread has mainly become about division A-AA. Even if it were about DII, its a pretty moot point that Bumbi will win, so we'd probably be talking about who can give him the best challenge (Strang)
