  1. Geography notwithstanding- we can all agree that it's more West's field than East's, right?
  2. Ha, I love it. So these were the "perplexing" personal fouls? Ha I bet twisting the lid off a jar of peanut butter perplexes these people.
  3. Game was on TV and the Internet- I saw the personal fouls. Unwise, each of them. Classic Morristown East?
  4. No one ever talks about the social aspects of this game and its history- West was built in the late sixties, yes? In the middle of the public housing projects, given U of Alabama colors, U of Alabama fight song (ostensibly because the first principal, what's his name, liked Alabama, but I haven't confirmed that), forced to travel to the football field on East's campus to play home games; meanwhile, East has U of Tenn colors (or used to), and at the time, was located in a largely white part of town? Point is, does anyone else get kind of a mildly racist vibe here, at least on the surface? I don't know the details, I'm just speculating. To comment on the results- West's diversity has served it well; East seems to give off an insular, inbred kind of feeling. Nothing too bad, just a little...narrow minded.
  5. And a Thursday night game, also true? Twist! Could be a factor.
  6. Aha, and is the title of this thing correct, is West the home team this year?
  7. West is now like 9-2 in the last 11 years of this game. Show some class.
  8. Last thing I'll say, then I'm done: Would the guys in the kilts playing bagpipes during the pregame show have been a better matchup for West? Seriously, West played well. And East fumbled too many high snaps, lost their qb, couldn't run the ball near the end zone, and gave up a special teams touchdown. Tough to win that way.
  9. Oh I have no trouble believing that that cow is smarter than me. And your son sounds like a stand-up guy. I'm sure you're very proud. Real chip off the old block. And summa cum laude, right? With a dad that loves emoticons and teen girl text-message-speak as much as you do, that stuff just came naturally, I'm sure. And thank you for calling me dude. I was wondering before, but now I can be sure that you're a hip guy. I never complained! Your buddy was asking why we couldn't be civil. I like our discussions. I get to see words misspelled and misused. It's like the opposite of a dictionary.
  10. Ah, don't get offended. Quote above is from his first post on this thread. He starts out by implying that West supporters make excuses, and that West's football team will lose to East's tonight. And we're supposed to be polite? Now don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of the guy. People need to know about Chik-Fil-A; he's doing the Lord's work. Great milkshakes.
  11. Ha, I love it. No, not upset about last year. I would rather West had won, obviously. It would be easier to be obnoxious then. And you are right, kids and jobs are measurable units of success. Spelling ability, also. But two out of three isn't bad. How will you show your face in this town again? In Morristown? I assume you'll just show your face the same way you always do: hidden by the cloth cow costume you wear as you advertise Chik-Fil-A on the sidewalk on AJ highway. An enviable position, particularly in this economy.
  12. I like it. Let me take a shot at one...Leonard's Losers---ShadeTreeCoaches, by any measurable unit of success in life. And enough already with the phrase 'beast from the east.' East is 2-8 in the last ten years of this game.
  13. No one remembers. Who are leonard's losers?
