  1. ORcat14,

Need I remind you that while our mighty cats were at home (their houses, not at Blankenship) for the playoffs last season, middle of the pack William Blount was defeating D-B in Round 2 I believe. Also, William Blount also beat us last year and may this year. And, just because D-B is young and inexperienced, doesn't mean that we can waltz in to J. Fred and win the following week, either.

I say that D-B wins by 3 or less because of home field advantage.

  2. I looked up the other appearances in Playoffs of Region 2 teams. Actually though the region realignment has only included the Chattanooga portion of the region did not begin until 2001 and that was the previous year OR did not make the playoffs. Anyway, these are the playoff appearances since the re-alignment of the regions.

    Ooltewah - 5

    Wm Blount - 5

    McMinn Co. - 4

    Oak Ridge - 4

    Farragut - 3

Heritage and Bradley Central have not made any playoff appearances.

Now, I am not disputing that Wm. Blount has made 7 of 8 playoffs, but I am saying that the teams in the region were different prior to 01.

  3. After having watched the replay today, I have to agree on the second one being an interception. The first turnover is still questionable, because I saw two replays in a row from the same angle and couldn't decide. It was a great game and I'm glad I didn't leave at the 30-14 point when I started to.

Good Luck Owls, unless we meet again in the playoffs.

    Roll Wildcats Roll.

  4. Oak Ridge will face a less than "as talented" Soddy-Daisy team than in years' past. The Dark Side's points per game allowed speak for themselves.

Oak ridge wins by at least two touchdowns.

Ooltewah will be the toughest game Oak ridge has during the regular season. The Owls actually have the weapons and stats on records to compete with the Cats.

That's not to say that Farragut won't be up for Oak Ridge in their week 10 matchup.

Last year, Farragut gave Oak Ridge all they wanted in the regular season but lost in round 2 of the playoffs by 50+ points.

    Roll CATS Roll!

  5. This one is almost always a barn burner, whether here or there, regular season or playoffs, rain or shine, ... and it will be again.

    Oak Ridge 35

    D-B 31

I have no doubt that Graham Clark will have his team prepared and is among the four "most able to make adjustments coaches", seen by the naked eye, in the state.

Good Luck to both teams and pray that everyone will be able to compete to the best of their ability and survive the game safe and unscathed.

  6. I DONT BLAME THEM FOR FORGETING ABOUT THE GAME. I'M TIRED OF HEARING ALL THE NONSENSE ABOUT HOW OAK RIDGE WILL NOT ONLY RUN THE BALL, THROW THE BALL, HOLD G-$ TO 80, BUT THERE EVEN TALKING ABOUT WINNING?

Well, last time I checked the object of Football was to move the ball down the field by either passing or running the ball, or both. So yeah, we are coming to play football, which means we will do both of those things. We also play to win, therefore we are going to do that too.

By the way your name matches most of your posts, because I find most of them to be inappropriate.

    ROLL WILDCATS ROLL!!!

  7. Every week the same song and dance - every week you don't ever hear from those posters again.

Probably won't here from us either, we'll be talking about the title game and you will be talking basketball. You will be on the wrong thread. thumb

    ROLL WILDCATS ROLL!!!
