1. ORcat14, Need I remind you that while our mighty cats were at home (their houses, not at Blankenship) for the playoffs last season, middle of the pack William Blount was defeating D-B in Round 2 I believe. Also, William Blount also beat us last year and may this year. And, just because D-B is young and inexperienced, doesn't mean that we can waltz in to J. Fred and win the following week, either. I say that D-B wins by 3 or less because of home field advantage.
2. Yes, Red Rebel. I mistakenly left Soddy-Daisy off the list and they have the other 3 spots. Sorry about that.
3. I looked up the other appearances in Playoffs of Region 2 teams. Actually though the region realignment has only included the Chattanooga portion of the region did not begin until 2001 and that was the previous year OR did not make the playoffs. Anyway, these are the playoff appearances since the re-alignment of the regions. Ooltewah - 5 Wm Blount - 5 McMinn Co. - 4 Oak Ridge - 4 Farragut - 3 Heritage and Bradley Central have not made any playoff appearances. Now, I am not disputing that Wm. Blount has made 7 of 8 playoffs, but I am saying that the teams in the region were different prior to 01.
4. OR also missed the playoffs in 2000. From 2000 to 2006 Ooltewah leads Wm. Blount 4 games to 2.
5. You guys need to talk to your coach and tell him to call Stanton to line it up and bring it. End of Discussion. We'll never know until it's played.
6. Bounder, If I could I would, but I can't close it. Maybe, we can just ignore it, and it might go away.
7. Look out for Logan Little at Quarterback for the Dragons. Played decent as a Freshman last year. His dad, Jeff Little Quarterbacked them back in the day.
8. I will be there Sat. Go Maryvill Rebels and Oak Ridge Wildcats! Roll Wildcats Roll!
9. I say 72 steps.... and Oak Ridge 21 Riverdale 14 ROLL WILDCATS ROLL!
10. After having watched the replay today, I have to agree on the second one being an interception. The first turnover is still questionable, because I saw two replays in a row from the same angle and couldn't decide. It was a great game and I'm glad I didn't leave at the 30-14 point when I started to. Good Luck Owls, unless we meet again in the playoffs. Roll Wildcats Roll.
11. Any given Friday...... That's why they play the game......
12. I'll have to see the replay, but I believe both turnovers ruled fumbles were actually incomplete passes that were dropped, not fumbled...but, hats off to Ooltewah. They took advantage and converted 14 points on those incomplete passes they recovered. #40 for the owls is a stud.
13. And if they don't - they will drop right back out of the top 10. And they probably won't beat the ridgers.
14. Fuggly, We won't see you in the playoffs, because you will not last long enough to face anyone out of East TN. Cookeville has not played anyone except Ooltewah and White Co. and have two (4-4) opponents left to play. When you line up against playoff type teams, you won't survive. Good Luck, though.
15. Cookeville will not get past Quarterfinals, if that far.
16. Oak Ridge will face a less than "as talented" Soddy-Daisy team than in years' past. The Dark Side's points per game allowed speak for themselves. Oak ridge wins by at least two touchdowns. Ooltewah will be the toughest game Oak ridge has during the regular season. The Owls actually have the weapons and stats on records to compete with the Cats. That's not to say that Farragut won't be up for Oak Ridge in their week 10 matchup. Last year, Farragut gave Oak Ridge all they wanted in the regular season but lost in round 2 of the playoffs by 50+ points. Roll CATS Roll!
17. Cookeville will not meet Riverdale in the SEMI's ever. They have to beat Riverdale in the Quarterfinals to play in the Semi's.
18. Congratulatios to Coach Bruce Lussier on his first win at Father Ryan.
19. This one is almost always a barn burner, whether here or there, regular season or playoffs, rain or shine, ... and it will be again. Oak Ridge 35 D-B 31 I have no doubt that Graham Clark will have his team prepared and is among the four "most able to make adjustments coaches", seen by the naked eye, in the state. Good Luck to both teams and pray that everyone will be able to compete to the best of their ability and survive the game safe and unscathed.
20. "<A TITLE="Click for more information about hotel" STYLE="text-decoration: none; border-bottom: medium solid green;" HREF="http://search.targetwords.com/u.search?x=5977|1||||hotels|AA1VDw">HOTEL</A>, MOTEL, GO HOME IF AIN'T FROM RIVERDALE" 825450432 Well, last time I checked the object of Football was to move the ball down the field by either passing or running the ball, or both. So yeah, we are coming to play football, which means we will do both of those things. We also play to win, therefore we are going to do that too. By the way your name matches most of your posts, because I find most of them to be inappropriate. ROLL WILDCATS ROLL!!!
21. Riverdale, If you are referring to the game, you have missed nothing, because these knuckleheads forgot about the game days ago, apparently. ROLL WILDCATS ROLL!!!
22. Every week the same song and dance - every week you don't ever hear from those posters again. 825449671 Probably won't here from us either, we'll be talking about the title game and you will be talking basketball. You will be on the wrong thread. thumb ROLL WILDCATS ROLL!!!
23. Do you guys have a portable defribilator down there at Riverdale on Friday nights? You guys may need it if Oak Ridge jumps on you early, some of you may fall slap out. ROLL WILDCATS ROLL!!!
