  1. The first one was a late hit. The second was questionable..but he wouldnt quit running with him out of bounds holding him up. Picky, I agree. But they have to be smarter than that.

JB needs to stick to the run..He threw into double coverage three times. If JB is going to throw it they need to throw slants or to the RB.

TC is running at will with not very big or fast runners. Getting chunks of yards. TC will win if they keep that up.

  2. Yeah..Two of the 3 finalists will be put out of the playoffs after round 2. I call that a Snub. Gilbert is leading an undefeated team, beating one finalist. Plus im willing to bet hes better than anyone in Lewis Co's backfield. Cunningham is a real finalist. Along with Mr. Gilbert. TSSAA missed out on this one.

  3. JCS is a lot more balanced. More athletes. Good run D. JCS by 17. Just the truth.

Holder ran for half his total yards last week for the whole year. Came in with near 1000, and had 500 on the night. Lets be serious. It won't keep happening, although it was very, very impressive.

  4. Please show this post to your English teacher. Maybe you can get a tutor after football practice is over.

Does Alcoa teachers show you the difference between have and has?

Some fans take it overboard on here. Some don't.

Everyone knows how good Alcoa is. Everyone in this state knows about the Tornadoes.

Milan is the best in the West. So far atleast. Still have to prove it for certain in the playoffs... JCS doesnt have the athletes, speed to keep up with Milan. Whoever said that is like measuring CAK up to Alcoa. (For you East TN fans).

Good Luck to the Tornadoes and Dawgs. I want to see Milan make it to the Buro personally.

  5. Eric Swenson better Dial Up the best game of his career. Its possible. Trenton had the lead against USJ to start the 2nd quarter..then as you see it got out of hand. Better keep it a low scoring game. I have a feeling Halloween hasn't quite been through with yet. I would go on and bet the house that Sweson pulls some trick or treating.

  6. Ihate to say this , but it seems to me that people come on here with the mentality that says " Alcoa has no cpmetition , they need to play up " but some of you act like its been like this for years??........ Some of us forget that it was just 5-6 years ago when a young Alcoa team finished the season with a 3-7 record , and got beat 48-14 by a strong sweetwater team , the tides come and go and so does talent. Is is it wrong for a program to have success for a while? seems to me like some people think it is.

Very True. Glad to see a humble Alcoa Fan. Easily in 2002, 2003 Milan Waxes Alcoa..maybe 60-0 type score. Even 2004 Alcoa got all they wanted from Huntingdon, and Huntingdon was puttin a beat down on Alcoa for the majority of that game. A week earlier it was a 12-7 Milan loss to Huntingdon before they played Alcoa. Times are good, and times are bad. It hasn't always been that way. Milan has dominant athletes this year. You can say what you say, but Milan will line the football up and they will get yards on the ground period. Kid from Milan already has 18-19 TDs.

  7. This is a little off subject. But can somebody tell me what Gant's warm up/coming to the plate song was at USJ? That song even pumped me up!!..Haha. It started with a fiddle or something..Anybody know?

  8. Watching it via Telecast. 26-21 at half I believe. Poston is on big time. Jumpshot after jumpshot, anywhere on the floor. Upperman's Davis is hitting 3 pointers a couple steps in front of half court. Milan was up 12, now its cut to five before half.

  9. hey i just heard from an inside source today that we may be better next yr than in 03 anybody else grasp this

    rod smith Mr. Football RB/FS

    terricus davis MLB

    daylan walker DB/WR

    daniel beasley WR

    ricky goff FB

    george west QB

    brent ramsey WR

    antonio williams DE

    travis white OLB

    chris burke NG

    bryce king G

    pup johnson DT

    eric coleman OLB

    micah blount DE

Sam Sullivan- PK.. hit 48 yarder that year against Dresden.

    This team was stacked.

    A little more on Rod..

For his career he rushed for over 5,100 yards and 72 touchdowns. On defense he had a career total of 168 tackles and 14 interceptions.

I hope the 07 team can run deep but the 03 team won't be seen for a long time. Its just too many playmakers all on one team...and not just playmakers.. Gamebreakers. Anytime Rod, George, Daylan or Daniel touched the ball it could be taken to the house..and thats usually what happened. Check out the 03 Highlight tape if you haven't. Whoever made that tape did a great job. I had a chance to see it about a year ago at one of the players houses.

  10. You are correct sherlock!! /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> it could have gone either way, we of course are glad that the pass was completed....

Did you just come in from the basketball game? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> Ya'll should be talking about next year already, not beating that dead "pony"!!! /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />

Thamansafan, Come back down to reality. Huntingon has waxed Trenton since football began.

Take your "rollercoaster postseason" and be proud. Somehow tonight I don't think your prayer passes will be answered by the big man above.

  11. Offense is the only place where you have to have naturally gifted players. To be a lethal offense you have to have strong linemen, quick backs with atleast decent strength, receivers who can block and catch well, and a QB who can and will lead the offense. Without these things your team will struggle obviously. However, on Defense you don't have to have the most naturally gifted athletes. On defense all you need is a kid who ain't afraid to hit hard and often. Defense is purely physical, and because of this you can have some of the least gifted and still succeed.

SO basing drop offs on that, your Offense should have some drop offs through the years, but your defense should never have drop offs. This fact is true of any team with a good coach, and a team that has a few tough, mean players. Granted a team with less natural talent will lose to the team with more talent in most cases, but there a few rarities where a team in with less talent beats a team with more talent. Examples from this year alone Trenton v.s. Westveiw and Trenton v.s. Milan. We know Milan and Westveiw has more natural athletes than Trenton, but yet Trenton is th one playing this week. My question is how do you explain the fact that Trenton a team with less natural athletes than those two teams, beat the two teams with more natural talent?

The same reason nobody can stop West Virginia. You get two backs back there that are raw, your going to score points almost every drive. That offense is just hard to stop when you have the RIGHT people running it. You cant just throw some no name back there and run it.

  12. GP held Lipscomb to 14 points and they are still playing in 3A. I don't think that Peabody will be able to do whatever they want on offense and be able to shut GP out. I say Milan and GP are very equal teams and Milan came close to winning last Friday.

GP, Milan, and Peabody I would guess are all on the same level. Anybodys game. Probably coming down to

whoever has the ball last. LITERALLY. Wouldn't leave more than 30 seconds on the clock if your going to punch it in to win. Although I think if GP gets the lead early, and makes Peabody go Pass over Run, then it will be over. Peabody will have to run the rock consistently and I think they will. Again, whoever has the ball last.

  13. I can guarantee you are not going to find the sportsmanship of each town on CoachT. If your looking for it on here, then your looking in the wrong places.

I have a dog in this fight, but I didn't play in it. I got my ring, and the last time I played Peabody we put 50 on them watching Rod Smith toss defensive backs down like fleas.

Good season Milan. Yet again, the games seem to be hard to close out.

I heard Harper claimed he was going to put 250 yards on Milan at a pep rally. Guess he fell about 100 short. Nice late hit out of bounds lick on Coleman too.

The rule needs to be changed on pass interference to the spot of the foul. I mean really with 10 seconds left and someone throws a deep fade I would drag him down too!!!..Heck, its only a fifteen yard penalty about 50 yards back! AND IT TOOK TIME OFF THE CLOCK!.....Ridiculous.

    Go Goodpasture.

  14. here's a list for all us older milan fans: johnny tucker, paul blankenship, david holmes, terry taylor, bill weems, bill bruce, larry utley, jojo woodson, john earl smith, perry hampton, billy ray dawson, james white, paul poole, george utley, robert sturdivant, tommy white, randy thetford, tim haney, lee fite, j.r. smith, stevie smith, kenny lee smith. somebody help me, i know i've forgotten some important names. can't forget the great JOHN WADE TUCKER who coached all these amazing athletes to 2 gold balls. man these names really bring back some great memories so come on guys this is what it's all about. FOOTBALL! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> name some great ones from peabody. one name probaly stands out for me and that is clifford scott who played back in the 50's. everyone says he's probaly the best running back to ever carry the rock for peabody. clifford is now the proprietor of c and g lounge in milan where he resides. talked to him the other day and he said he was pullin for peabody because this is the furtherest they've been in the playoffs in along time. said milan had there day and it's time for another town in gibson county to have there's. other than that he would be pulling for milan.

well its time for Milan to push through, and get to the big show. we haven't had our day since dec. 99

  15. peabody's Devin Stayton #34 is unstopable with 124 tackles and 8 sacks so far this season

i think he will be tuff to stop all so #31 miller playin the other end spot will both be key factors in

    shutting down milan

    Peabody Wins

Peabody loses. Again. They are going to get beat by Milan twice in the same season AGAIN. Just like last year.

Some of these Trenton people amuse me. Trenton is one of those teams that if they get put out friday night they will give out patches to their football players that says STATE QUARTERFINALS. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Don't act like you don't know what im talking about. If that were so for Milan each player would have two or three jackets. Milan has been here, and I highly doubt Coach Morris is going to get put out by Trenton, in the playoffs, being 11-1. Milan wins.
