Milans defense comes up big again. All of you Trenton folks seem to forget who your playing this week. 11-1 Bulldogs who have yet to give up a single point in the post season.

Milan 24 Trenton 7

Milan is stuffing folks in the backfield. Defense is stout! 23-0 to JCS 17-0 Huntingdon

You might get a few greenhorns to believe that but not me. He's playing and the Bullddog coaches know it.You're not from Milan.
I agree on both.

My dad can beat up your dad. I don't think anyone knows what happened back in 03 with JCM. I would also say there is a HUGE difference in a regular season out of region out of class game and a second round playoff game.
35-7 Milan. Played in that one.

What does BTW have? Player "to watch"?
-
Milan. Nobody can match up with Trevino Moore. JCS had two defenders on him. One pressing him, and one over the top and he was still catching everything. No dis-credit to JCS at all, he is just a man among boys on the outside.

CPA definitely is a top team, no doubt. I knew it would be a great game. Look no further though. 2A is STACKED with talent this year. Martin Westview and Peabody are GREAT teams. Mark my words. Milan may be the cream of the crop out of the West. Only time will tell. It is really the SEC over here..Beating up on each other. I know it was tonight with GP and CPA. Alcoa really has no test over in the East. They pretty much cakewalk to the Finals. Martin Westview was 9-0 two weeks ago. And this is not a 9-0 "Lewis County" type team either that goes 10-0 every season. Westview was LOADED. Peabody has a great running QB in Harper. It is crazy over here in West Tennessee.

The score at the end of the first quarter was 0 to 0. After 4 minutes were gone in the second half, the score was Alcoa 35, Sweetwater 0. The final was 49 for Alcoa and 0 for Sweetwater
How did they score 35 points in 4 minutes.. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Man, we missed you! I had that seat ready and waiting for u westtn2004state. It was a fabulous game! The boys really put their hearts into it to the very end. CPA can really rock an' roll!! The cougars were lightening in cleats!!
Come on over to Camden next week for some more excellent Tennessee football. I'll see about getting you a spot right in the midst of the cougar student section! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
Haha..I would, but that would mean missing a Milan/Huntingdon game..in the playoffs. Thats a little hard for me to do. If you had told me earlier you were saving the seat earlier in the week, I would have gladly taken it. How about we try to make arrangements for a semi-final seat saving. If we get there.

Yeah, @ Milan.

I regret I couldn't make the trip now. Sounded like a thriller.

Congrats Milan! Great Game Plan! Great Execution! Great Sportsmanship! This JCS fan will be traveling with the Purple the rest of the way. Your coach is a class act! There were a lot of 40-50-60 something games tonight and we all know this one could have been worse, maybe not quit that bad but much, much worse. I've got a son who played his last high school game tonight... he dropped more passes than usual and he didn't want to go out like this... There were 16 other seniors on the JCS team that felt the same way. It was hard watching them after the game. Thanks to Coach Morris and his staff for respecting that and not feeling that he had to make a statement by demoralizing some fine young men who have worked hard and overcome some incredible odds. Thanks to Coach Morris for showing us respect and portraying the heart of a true warrior and champion. Plus, it is obvious by the game plan tonight that he is a really good coach! Thanks to the JCS coaches. My son has been blessed to be a part of this program. Thanks for giving him an example of true manhood. Thanks for your friendship. 4:13!
Wow. I admire the entire post. Congrats to JCS for coming into probably the toughest 2A region in the state and making the playoffs. That in itself, is an accomplishment. Region 8-2A is the SEC, literally....

I guess it's obvious in Milan, year in, year out.
-
Hopes and Dreams begin and end when the buzzer sounds around 9:00-9:30. Enjoy.

is game at 7 or 7:30?
7:00

Milan definitely has a rough road to a possible Semi-Final/State matchup. Just a brutal schedule. I agree with you, definitely, JCS got a good breather last week with Dresden....A good chance to get some people healthy for the playoffs. Milan , biased or not, really brought it to Westview...You check the rushing stats and first downs. I think it was 16-8 in First downs in favor of Milan. So I wouldn't say the game really wore Milan out.. Maybe emotionally it did. That is a possibility. But if Westview beats Peabody..they play a no name next week, only to prepare for a Milan/JCS/Huntingdon opponent. Clearly they have the "easiest" road to a Semifinal. I think Milan can make a good run. I believe it starts up front, running behind Brent Hanson. I think that is a big key for Friday night. Milan needs to play a "keep away" game from Hudson and have long "grinded out" drives with Gilbert. He is going to have to put Milan on his back and carry the rock.

This kid with the broken arm, out for tomm. night too?
-
Thats the schedule for every week. Regardless.
-
Did the kid from Maryville ever sign with Tennessee? I know this is off subject but im from West Tennessee. I just caught a game about two years ago. White kid, kick returner/wide reciever. Fast. Just wondering?
-
I've seen EVERYTHING. Nothing suprises me, especially in 2A playoff scenarios.
However, an early Alcoa exit would be nice to hear.
-
Huntingdon wins. Although Westwood has played some very tough opponents this season.
-
I believe I'll make the trip to Madison for this game. Any chance a Goodpasture fan could save a Milan fan a seat?
-
Milan's defensive front will have to bring pressure...Milan's DB's are good, but you can't let a QB like Hudson sit back there and play Tom Brady.
