1. Milan dominated this game!!!! Westview scored on a punt return, hail mary and fumble/busted play. That was 21 of their points. If you take away the busted play Martin had less than 80 yards rushing. Milan's lines won the battle on both sides!!!

The fake punt wasn't a fake!!!! Our db baited him into throwing and our lb came out for the int.

Great game plan and well executed!!!!!!

    Milan Bulldogs - 2007 REGION 8 CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!

This is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Milan dominated the line of scrimmage. Gilbert #29 ran it right down the throat of Westvew. I love it. REGION CHAMPION?..I think Milan is well worthy. Milan is just too good right now.

If I heard right on the radio, Milan draws JCS on the first round game? Good Job Ronnie Carter...why don't we just throw all the teams in hat and draw games. Your a genius.

  2. "Milan is going to run the ball down the vikes throat.. i look to see milan have at least 250 rushing yards.. better watch J.W. tonight i expect some sick nasty cutbacks from him. milan 27 bolt 14"

Really? Jackson Sun: "The Vikings' offensive numbers were superior. Humboldt ended the game with more rushing yards, more total yards, more than twice as many first downs and an 11-minute advantage in time of possession." Milan's 'offense' consisted of 1 long pass, 2 long runs, and a long 'defensive' runback, otherwise they were stymied. Humboldt's offense consistently marched down the field 5, 6, 8 yards at a time, then made startling decisions to make critical throws to 'freshmen' recievers who dropped the ball in the open field? Wha?!

"Looked like Humboldt coaches just quit on their last possession."

Couldn't agree more. We have seen it over and over. Why can't they see that if you even have 2 seconds remaining, there is an opportunity to score somehow!!!? The Hbt coaches also did the same going into the first half. With over 3 minutes before halftime, possession, and all timeouts remaining---they used none of them--eventually mentally settled for going into halftime down 7-0 and finished with an E.J. run with seconds remaining that got him hurt. Who's making those sideline decisions? Might also look to see how many passes E.J. (arguably the most amazing receiver West Tenn has seen in a long time) even got tossed in his direction before his injury. Disappointing plan.

Even your own coach agreed that the game was up in the air, telling the reporter, "We were feeling queasy"

The 14-0 score belies the truth that this game was very even.

  3. I don't think you need to close it. Why? There are so many high school athletes on this website. THEY SHOULD READ THIS. Why hide it when it will put the fear of God in someone who is doing these same things out there. I agree to let it close if it turns into a Sommers Bashing, but it would be good for athletes to read this and learn from it. It could change atleast a few players perspectives on football and even greater, Life.

  4. wow...another good loser....are you trying to convince yourself? Yes we lost to Huntingdon in 1998 but we lost to a real good team not this years team. And I still say there is no way we beat Camden, Humboldt, Trenton or JCS. Without these wins it means no playoffs.

I doubt your from Milan. Take a hike.

  5. Milan goes up 13-0 very quickly. Starting QB goes down. What do you do if your the opposing coach?..stuff the line. You can't win if you cant consistently mix up your pass/run, unless you have Rod Smith. Milan wins if the QB doesn't go down. J.W. Williams might be the fastest kid since Daylan Walker. Milan could easily finish the Regular season 9-1. Its Milan, are some people forgetting that? Milan doesn't lose in the first round of the playoffs, nor do they not make the playoffs at all. Whens the last time that happened, 20 years ago? To the mature Huntingdon fans, congrats. To the others, take a hike, your idiots.

  6. QUOTE(SaintKnute @ May 9 2007 - 07:51 AM) 826455190And they can now work on their batting in the off season. Dyer County verses Dyersburg in the 13AA District Championship

Pretty sure they don't have much to work on...if you were watching the games. They'll both be playing college ball next season. I have nothing bad to say about Dyersburg. Their coaches have been real nice and respectable. You can work on your attitude though...but usually the people that down other players are ones that aren't or weren't very good. /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Not worried about too much though, 41-1 in Tennessee is a record around here that will never be broken. Been there, seen it all, won it all. Good Luck 13AA.

  7. QUOTE(JD64 @ May 3 2007 - 08:33 AM) 826450686I agree!! Massey ended the regular season with 16! That is by far a Crockett County record!

The balls they hit have no question they are going over...usually they are still on their way up.
