  1. Coach Kries and the boys don't post on here and no they don't feel like they have been to the Mt. Everest of TN. football. However, they are on top of Clingman's Dome in Region 2a with back to back championships. That is the mountain referred to here in reference to the comment, "The Coalfield crazies were high on their team last year. What has happened?'. There is no need to crow about anything now, as you stated above Coalfield has a great program and tons of tradition. The crowing happens when you been down a few years as they were in the late 1990's early 2K's. You know, kind a like the team in the other thread about Coalfield.
  2. Different team, different attitude. Still high on the team, the school, and community. When one reaches the top of the mountain, they quit yelling about getting there and just sit and enjoy the view.
  3. I know they are quick, just don't know how quick. Two or three are built like BD and the question is do they see the field like he does? Time will tell. Three are bruiser backs that would run over you quicker than around you and don't care to do that either. Match wits? Like throwing spit wads at a battleship.
  4. Wow Goose, I'd be ashamed that you need Monk.
  5. Will do the best I can. I will have to get them from Kingbrian. He is pretty accurate. In his G.O.W. he watches the game live, then goes over the film to make sure he is right. B.D. is history and on his well to being an asset elsewhere. Hope he comes back to Coalfield to contribute as a adult. Stepping in his shoes is at least six R.B.s. Shawn Armes (not from another school or transfer you got that confused with the other speed demon), Jared Knight, Aaron Huff, William Armes, Ryan Armes and Phillip Turpin. They either motor like crazy or will run over you depending on which one has the ball. None will get tired legs though, when one goes in nothing is lost if the line blocks. They did much better Friday night and I suspect they will this week also. This week is the test. The second best team played all season, and more of a match. (York is pretty darn good, the capital has major problems). We will see how it shakes out pujo. It is at home and we have been told we own the ref's at home. You remember last year on your trip down how the ref's were, they wouldn't call a hold on Hampton at all, were doing all night.
  6. What help do you guys need? You stepped in it an now you want me to clean the poop off? Aint gonna happen. Until a Region 2 team beats these clowns, there is not much of an argument. Of course there was that year that Coalfield went to round 4 after losing three games in regular season and beating that whole region minus Hampton (who is just barely 1a, like Oneida). Well, not really, region two beat region 1 and Coalfield took it out of region v. region. So in three years one Region 2a team has done its job. It may be your turn only time will tell.
  7. Thanks, we appreciate thinking of this young man. He is a very special guy. Intelligent exchanges between Oneida and Scott will be difficult.
  8. His son is very ill. He is a very special boy to Coach K. (most kids are but his own is too close to Coaches' heart). I think the world of the boy myself. Coach has been spending a lot of time with this young man showing, guess what, a father's love. The son is part of the Coalfield family, our hearts and prayers go out to him and wish him the best.
  9. Didn't realize being literate is geographically imposed. Sorry, my mistake. There are other folks from Oneida though that appear to be able to string a complete sentence together and deliver a complete thought.
  10. No injuries (either side a good thing), much better prepared, but got no real benefit from the game but a little confidence booster by beating the Co. rival. Will do to the Henry boys. As to the seat, better get there early. The head count was over 2K this past Friday night. There was a sea of cars in the parking lot.
  11. Nor are you as literate as you should be.
  12. Ok genious, here is what you said: "Thats how far Wartburg has fallen the last couple of years but you've got to remember prior to the fall wartburg was more than just competitive with CF." Proof is in this weeks Morgan Co. News that they are just competitive, not *more* than competitive. 500 ball is what I call even. You do the math. Please support your statements. I did with a reference. "better coached and girls ball they win the majority of their games in the county." They had a very good coach, and a very good guy. They have not dominated girls basketball in the county. I think that it is a draw between Oakdale, Coalfield and the Burg. Each are capable of playing very good basketball. Fred Snow is an excellent coach. "Baseball is the same way..." Really? Where is your proof? I posted mine, it is in Coalfield's trophy case and on the third base dugout at the Ballpark. If you really want to live in Coalfield to "vote against me". I will rent you a trailer lot on my 125 acres. One vote wouldn't have lost the election for me last time, it would have taken twelve. Smarter trolls please.
  13. I think had the burg won it would have been like winning a State Championship in Football, they would have broken the streak, beaten their biggest in County rival (who owns a four game streak now), and felt a little better about their program. It didn't happen, they were beaten by a single A school by nearly the same margin as a AAA School last week. As for the other fluff above. Superdave where have you been? Morgan County news this week shows the overall record between the two in football. That record gives W'burg the edge by 1 measly game. Girls basketball, Wartburg has never been to M'boro as Coalfield and Oakdale have done. Boys basketball, they finally showed something this year. Good job. And NOW BASEBALL: Coalfield has been one of the top baseball programs in this area for years. They won the district this year, and have made State play-off appearances often (way more than the burg). Oakdale is the best baseball competitor to Coalfield in the county. Oh, yeah forgot one important thing in Baseball, tradition. Until he quit 10 years ago George Lowe was the winningest Coach in High School baseball in Tennessee. And if you will take a trip to the C-town trophy case you will see one other minor thing on the baseball end, THE HARDWARE, State Championship Trophy with Dave Treece as Head Coach. Enjoy your trip back from La La Land.
  14. Exactly right stringer with an added problem, they didn't get off the bus at YAI. There was a stand full of fans waiting on the team. Nobody could figure out where they were. York was a much better football team than Coalfield will face tonight, however; it is Wartburg. If they can't get up for this game, put points on the board, and walk out winners, then the panic button should be hit. IDK, I look forward to a football game that Coalfield, you know, actually participates in to the fullest extent as on a meshed team with every player doing their JOB no matter the job. If the burg wins, it would be about the closest thing to a State Championship they will see.
  15. Not hollow, just, uh you know, keeping a bet. Dog meat? Maybe but I seriously doubt it.
  16. We paid a major price for several reasons, none of which was coaching or lack of talent (more administrative and financial and a long story that delayed pads and hitting costing scrimmages). It was a major off night. York is 1)very good, 2) a class act. They opened the game with color guard (doughboy uniforms no less), the Pledge of Allegiance AND the National Anthem. They closed the game infront of the home stands singing the Alma mater (same as Coalfield's BTW just change names). The Wing T is impressive and can be confusing Ala, T.C. in 1990.This IS dawg week. It will not be pleasant this week from practice. However I heard these words from leaders and other players, Ashamed, embarrassed, and no more. The team called their own meeting and run through Saturday. I am impressed with the character. Look for a better attitude. I expect it, the fans expect it, and the Coaches demand it.Nobody will lay down just because you wear orange and black, it makes them want you more. Oh, and Kaz, please fulfill your bet with slimpikins. What is your signature supposed to say?
  17. Yeah, that was the ugliest thing I could think of to compare it too. The comparison had to be real ugly, and Medussa just didn't fit the bill.
  18. The Coalfield game Friday night was as ugly as Monkey boys prom date.
  19. Been around watching and reading. We are reloading, errrr building at the Switch. What is wrong with the support in OS? Catback wouldn't want me to do that now would he? Yeah, I will be in Jimtown tonight.
  20. As long as it aint Keith Adcock and Troy Monk.
  21. Good, physical C-town can handle, they face that a lot. Speed and physical may be a major problem for some teams.
  22. I figure I can go to Tech and get both at the same time, they are equivalent at that institution.
  23. That takes timing and speed on the corners, I can figure they have that?
  24. I will get my GED Kaz. Great idea. It and a Ph.d are the only two I don't have right now. Thanks for the assist.
