I agree with you! Lincoln County Oakland was a bigger rival before Riverdale espically back in the 80's. I like the Dobbyns Bennett vs Oak Ridge too!

We (Lincoln County) scrimmaged Dickson County back in July or August and beat them pretty handily. With that said, I knew that Dickson County was a much better team than they showed at the "PIT". This will be a "slobber knocker." Dickson County usually plays the Warriors tuff. If the game is in Riverdale, give the edge to the Warriors by a touchdown. However, if it is in Dickson County, they win by 3 pts. I know that is not going out on a limb, but that is my 50 cents that might buy you a cup of coffee!

Well, I don't know much about the Patriots this year, except they were suppose to have lost many of its players to Sigel (sorry if I miss-spelled it) this year. Traditionally, Oakland always plays Lincoln County tuff. Everyone is waiting for the Falcons to have a let down, but I don't think this is the week for that let down, and they should be ready to roll in the "Boro" and take care of business. I think just mentioning the word "Boro" no matter what school gets the Falcons fired up. Yea, I know you will probably say your giving the "ra" "ra "answer by saying If they (Falcons) don't turn the ball over, and the defense continues to be stingy, the Falcons should win this game. I have to say that about turnovers, because, when you go on the road, you must, and cannot turn the ball over, they (Patriots) capitalize on those turnovers, and expect to win. Lincoln County has so many weapons this year, and it will be hard for any team to key on Josh Gregory, because someone else can beat you. So, if you want me to give a point spread, I'd say Lincoln County by 10 pts. There are a couple of games on our schedule I would say a blowout, but I have much respect for the Patriots, and this is not one of those games I would say that. What is your opinion?

You know, I don't know if it is just me, but somehow, most of those East Tennessee Teams look good on paper (Oak Ridge, Dobyn-Bennet ect. but when they have to come over and play the Middle TN powerhouses, they don't do as well. They are traditionally stronger than West TN teams, but I'll put the Riverdale's, MBA's, Brentwood Academy's Lincoln County's and Gallatin’s up against them any day. By no means am I slighting other Middle TN teams if I did not name your team, but you get my point. Yea, Dobyn-Bennet is running over East TN at this point. They did beat a good opponent in Jefferson County last week. I'm not taking anything away from them because they are always at the top in East TN. I'm just saying, I think some of our #2's, #3's, #4’s; teams in middle will give them all they want in a football game.

That is mighty big of you guys saying that about Lincoln County! However, there is a lot of football left to be played this season. Hopefully, if they continue to play as a team, LC can make it to the big game, but all of this talk is premature at this point. LC has a big game with Oakland this week, and should (and I have no doubt they will) concentrate only on getting up for the Patriots. If I am not mistaken, this game is the High school game of the week and will be shown on Sports Southeast Friday night.

So Statman, can you supply an official update on Colbert? No, I can't, but by the way he was walking around on the sidelines, I would say at least one more week on the DL. Man! that is awesome! If Lincoln County doesn't slip up somewhere down the road, I look forward to this match up. It sounds like the new coach has the Raiders believing in themselves!

From what I am hearing, they were just giving him another night off to heal. I did see him on the sidelines with some sort of a wrap on it, but was walking around. Maybe someone closer to the team can chime in on this one and give us an update. I think we found us a good back up kicker as of tonight.

I don't have stats from our Lincoln County Falcons game, but Gregory (RB) had another good night. Michael Edmiston (QB) threw the ball superb, and in absence of our starting kicker, kicked off, and kicked extra pts tonight. He also punted one for about 59 yds. The Defense was rock solid all night long. Sounds like the Nunley kid is for real. Way to go Raiders!

I don't have any stats, but Lincoln County pretty much had their way by land and air against the Rebels. Josh Gregory had another good game running the ball. Michael Edmiston played a superb game. He threw for at least 3 TDs, ran one for about 90 yds that was called back, kicked extra pts., punted one for about 59 yds, and also kicked off in absence of the Lincoln County kicker. Hey, what can you say about that kid, one heck of an athlete. The Falcon defense was like the Steel Curtain tonight. Franklin County just could not run the ball. If any Franklin County fans are out there, how is your running back Pryor who was hurt in the game, and also, the kid that was hurt on the kick off that was taken to the hospital? I hope both are ok.
