Well i played aginst them and they are haveing a good couple of years but the teams i played aginst wasnt to hard hitting but i did hear they were alot better the past 2 years. Lamberts done alot for them hope he keeps it up.

Speaking of spelling things out for people, go back and read my post again, and count how many times I mention Grace, ad how many times I mention "privates" you moron. I said that its the parents and the administrations of these schools to blame for people getting on to them about cheating, I have no problem with a kid going to a private school thats fine. But putting private schools in a public division just because they claim to not pay tuition for kids is stupid, there are ways for those kids to get their tuition payed for so that it does not look like the school is involved, and if you tell me theres not your a big, fat liar. Does Grace fall under the subject that I was discussing, yes, was I talking about Grace, NO! Did I spell that out clear enough for you that time? Have the summer workouts started yet? I heard that they were only going to workout 2 days per week and that they have not started yet. Is that really true? I have a hard time believing that they are not going to work any harder than that, but I guess anything is possible. Does anyone know for sure? I was not able to make the scrimmages a few weeks ago, but I have heard that the Harvey kid is one of the better QB's is a long, long time. One fellow at breakfast said he was the best he had seen his John Swafford played back in the 80's. If that is true and he works hard and the Brown kid stays healthy, we could have as much talent in the backfield as there has ever been. The same fellow said that Brown is better than Bart Myers was and I think everyone would agree he is the best RB we ever had. If the info on the workout program is wrong, and they get to work and if these boys are that good...we could be a force this fall.

I wind that noah melton might come back for his season at bledsoe. i work wit his brother and his brother said he couldnt decide between bledsoe and onieda, if he came back here fore his season he would help the team alot. I heard he was a great reciever and can play some qb anybody heard anything on it...

Why would any team determine how good they were based on beating Coalfield?
ok u serious does this sound familar 35-0 ya it does to me and 12-0 region champs # 4 in the state but they stunk, when was the last time someone in the county beat coalfield 04 wartburg maybe, not sure and when was the last time sunbright beat c town. ya been a while and sure as heck not gonna happen anytime soon...

That DC was here at Bearden last few years & did go to the semi finals last year. I heard that he is relly enjoying his new job & he personally told me that the head coach there is running the offense & that the offense will be hard to stop. Defensively he said that they are starting to pick things up. Good luck to Wartburg!
nice scrimmage huh, but both teams are gonna have to pick it up if they wanna have any chance at coalfield. wartburg looked better than sunbright not much but they did, the D looked better than anything, but heard coalfield had a young secondary take advantage of that and its not hard short pass the he** out of them. then deep ball works every time. but as far as the scrimmage sunbright what a trip lol, always high hopes, i remeber somoone pickin them to beat c-town last year and coalfield threw all over them, so ya get used to hearin about sunbright bein great but u can see for yourself there a trip...........

After the scrimmage last night I am even more convinced that this will be our year. Wartburg are you ready for next week, we are.
wartburg wins this one no doubt. i was at the sunville scrimmage and they look the same as always, high hopes that always gets shattered every year. now wartburg got a new dc heard he went to the semi-finals at his other school. my opinion he should have prob been the head coach if he went to the 4th round at a 5a school. but sunbright looks week and small as usual. if u have any kind of passin game against them game over. all they do is run deep and throw it up and the recievers are tiny. i say wartburg ends the curse no doubt.

lol are you bein serious os 1 onieda 2 and coalfield 3 no way. coalfield is gonna be number 1 by a long shot they got 3 new transfers that are as good as melton and newberry. coalfield is the best team in the district and has a GREAT chance of goin to state.

I agree on the shootout part, but i dont think that time of possession is gonna be a telling stat.. If S.Pitts speed gets them real big chunks of yardage then their TOP is gonna be low. I can almost see this game going like the Unaka v. Cloudland game, UHS would hold Cloudland to a coupla yard on 2 or 3 plays and then on 3 (or 4rth) down Cloudland would rip off 12 to 15, they were just a bit too athletic and explosive for Unaka... Hope the dogs prove me wrong, but I feel the same thing is gonna happen tonight with S.Pitt speed getting them the win by several scores...
well men here is a little mix for everyone. i used to play for Bledsoe in middle school and grew up playing against SP, one word for everyone FAST, then my sophmore year i moved to coalfield. Hampton has beat us in the playoffs 2 times in a row since i have been here and they beat us because they are more PHYSICAL up front hampton needs to contain the end. sp needs to also hampton sweeps the end with 4 or 5 blockers hard 2 stop that lol. special teams wins the game for SP.

wow!!! i wouldnt say that hampton is that much better. i play for coalfield and hampton is fast. midway is fast. this will be a rushing ballgame. I give hampton the edge because they can throw the deep ball...Midway hardly ever throws i guess because they run all over everybody i dont know..but coalfield ran the ball on hampton at the begining and could not score on the five so we just basically gave up....If Midway can stop the sweep around the end and the deep ball they will win....One more thing for Hampton a little help!! The D-LINE is gonna have to close there splits down or RAY RAY will have a game he is QUICK AND STRONG... If hampton does that they will roll.

I don't think coach K has went from being one of the best to a bad coach in one year.
How do you guys think the Midway game will go?
i dont believe anyone thinks that coach k is the worst coach ever but it is hard for the kids to get pumped up when all they ever hear about is how bad they stink and how bad he wished he would have quit with last years team. but anyway i believe that the jackets will do well against the greenwaves as i have been at every practice this week and they have implemented a new formation and are currently running about 12 plays out of it. but anyways good luck coalfield.

Well said "evilslayer7110." I also seen something talking about the offensive cord. The reason the old one left was to coach middle school, + Coalfield is somewhat political...... He knew who was would start at certain positions and it wouldnt have went well with some mommies and daddies. I'm not saying he was great, but he put the ball where it needed to be, in the hands of his play makers. Coalfields offense this year is a joke, they run JK right 2x, then quick pitch to Sean Armes, then try a long pass to NM that Ive only seen completed 1x. Seems to me those boys have other things on their minds through the week than football <--- the kids on the team know what I'm talking about. There are to many individuals on that team this year, and to many players "playing the wrong position" or not "starting in the right position." Whats the point of having your best athlete line up at WR if you cant get him the ball? Looks like Coalfield will start 1-4 this year, this group of seniors have only lost 7 games in the 3 years before. I feel for Coach K down in Coalfield....... "Very few" kids on that team have what you need to win games against good oppents "HEART"I sat on the sideline at the Oneida game and called the plays just based on how the kids broke the huddle and formation, I was right about 75% of the time. Thats without watching film like other teams will do.......
well i go watch practice every day and i hardly ever see the head coach there. coachk wants to blame hes team for letting down and giving up. As far as i can tell he is letting them down and giving up. i like him alot but if he aint gonna be there than whats the point of being the head coach. i also heared from some players that him and melton got in a argument because coachk was never coming to practice or school. well beyond that the O corrdinator is horrible, he runs the ball 9 out of 10 times dont understand that. armes should be the startin running back he is good knight sould be fullback. and melton should be QB. that would be a tough backfield

Yes scott has really dominated morgan county. What's Oneida against the jackets????? 0-6. scott high is AAA, they should beat a AA school year in and year out. They can't compete against other AAA so they have to play down to pad their schedule.
ya lol by the way coalfield 1A um 200 kids maybe. onieda um 1A about 425 kids ya big differnce and coalfield still hangs with scott county teams. so onieda y dont u raise up to your on level.and scott high wow one good season wait until york lol

as far as coalfield only having haney and melton from last year...so untrue...so maybe you should get your facts straight
i say true..thats all they have really besides william and shawn armes...haney is the best linebacker on the team not saying a whole lot..melton is the only true returning starter from last year..i was at the game and him and armes were the only threats on the team as far as offense goes..armes made some great runs while melton made some great catches..so my opinion thats it for coalfield good luck though...

what in the heck does that have to do with what we r talkin about. you can tell you are from PF and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to tell that. i really want to see AC play PF next season. and i really and honestly think AC would run rull PF for the simple fact they have better athletes who know how to work their tale off. i know they worked there butts off with guinn but they will work just as hard if not harder with out him. and just out of curiosity do you think moving the guinn boys to another school so late in their high school careers will help them or hurt them. In my opinion i think it will hurt them and they won't do as good as they did at AC. but who knows they r in a weak AA district.

I'll have to agree with Ranger country, although we have several good linebackers in east Tn.
Estep stands high above the rest, I've gotten the chance to watch him play several games over the last couple of years and he has a nose for the ball and tackling ability unlike any LB I've ever seen. all-state again this year I'm sure.
i will also agree that jacob estep is one of the best in the state but jared knight from coalfield is a close matchup for him. i have had the oppurtunty of watching them both play and as knight doubles as middle backer and tailback i think that estep would definitely have his hands full, but i guess we will find out if they meet in the playoffs.

i agree, its not a gimmie for coalfield but if they dont get the big head and keep hitting the ball they should win this district tourny. they have faced the best two pitchers in the district. hawn-sunbright leach-o.s. they hammered the ball on them. they have 5 homeruns in two games. alley-2run hill-solo melton-2run against sunbright. and taylor-3run duncan-3run. just keep hitting the ball and they will be fine.

I'd take Knight over Estep or Grooms in a second. I don't remember the kids name that came from Oliver Springs, but he was very impressive also. Coalfield just may have the best overall linebackers in 1a.
the kid from oliver springs is jake haney and he is back this year as well. he registered 20 tackles in the last game and knight registered 19.

Just ask other teams in the region and see who they think is the better linebacker between the two. Spencer got DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR!!! That is voted by the coaches of other teams. Spencer didnt get the recognition he deserved like Estep did. A player that gets all-state on a decent team looks a lot better than an all-state caliber player who plays on a really good team with two all-staters and a slew of other good ones.
Jared Knight from coalfield is a beast in the middle as he weighs in at 6'0 235 lbs. and recently ran a 4.7 last year as a junior he registered 110 tackles and 12 for a loss. sounds pretty good.
