  1. Sycamore Man, War Eagle Fans will hit the road at 2:00 on Friday afternoon to come and support our young men. We are so very proud of all your accomplishments. It has been "quite a ride this season and we aren't ready to get off this bus yet!" Hopefully, our Admistration will be able to work out a Pep Bus for our students. But never fear, when you run out on the field Friday Night, you and your teammates will be cheered on by the Sycamore Faithful!! Make us proud and May God Bless each of you . GO WAR EAGLES!!!!
  2. Depends on who you ask. Sycamore Fans will certianly tell you it was an upset. Cheatham Fans will tell you otherwise. As a Cheatham Countian, I am very proud of my Sycamore War Eagles and the Cubs. They are the Real Deal this year and much credit to Coach Finley. He is a Class Act. In our small community, we are proud of all our young men and Cheatham CountyHigh School is long overdue for a program they can be proud of. Congratulatins to all these young men. GO WAR EAGLES!!!
  3. vince, When Coach Tharp was at Cheatham, He hired coach Finley.
  4. Greenbrierfootballa06, Congratulations on your win. Yes, we understand you won and I believed we said congratulations and good luck on your upcoming games. Sycamore fans that were at the game saw the touchdown, as did you by your own admission. However, all that counted was the fact that the referee did not acknowedge this touchdown and you won the game. Didn't realize this would be construed as "running my mouth". Sorry you took it that way. Good luck next week. GO WAR EAGLES
  5. This game is what makes High School Football the Best. Both teams played with all their hearts. Congratulations to Greenbrier. Ralph is correct. The catch in the endzone by Shay was certainly a touchdown, but the referees neglected to call the catch or even acknowledge it. After their "huddle" they realized they had "goofed" and acted as if this never happened. This was a tough pill to swallow for our boys and fans, but like Coach said, "what doesnt kill you will make you stronger" Go War Eagles!!!
  6. RockMom, Although we have never met, and may never meet, we have a common bond. We are mothers to young men who love the game. I want you to know you that you and your son are in my prayers and thoughts. I am praying for a full recovery and for you and your family to have the strength to care for your son and assist in his therapy. May God truly bless you and your family.
  7. Just wanted to say that I was graciously allowed access to this forum by my friend ,"War Eagle" and have "enjoyed" the bantering between clam clam chowder and the rest of the world. So as not to give the wrong impression to that world, please don't judge the whole bucket by one apple. Being an alumnus of Cheatham County High, my allegiance is to the Cubs, but I'm also a realist. I HOPE the game goes in our favor, but the deed to the ranch is going to stay in the safe. We realize that NO team is invincible. (Remember the Titans--and the Vols). Also, I remember when we, the Cubs, were going 0 and 10 and getting beaten at our own homecoming 79 to 0. (Do I recall that in those days other schools were scheduling their homecomings in August just so they could play us?) We've come a long way since then and our players and coaches have a lot to be proud of. So here's to a good, hard-fought game. And to quote my new friend, clammy, "Go Mighty Cubs" (But you may want to ease up a tad on the ripping, bruh, crow CAN have an awfully bitter taste). As for the requisite disclaimer, "The views in this posting are not necessarily those of War Eagle Fan."
  8. Once again, my Sycamore War Eagles retained the Interstate 40-24 sign, as we shut out the Harpeth Indians 28-0. Even got to see our JV quarterback in action. Next week should be a great Region Game as we take on The Page Patriots. Any thoughts on next weeks game?
  9. I appreciate Coach Hard's comments about this young man's remarks. These boards are certainly not intended for these types of comments and kids like this can make others reluctant to post their messages on these boards. Obviously, everyone here has their favorite team and has the right to cheer them on and boast about their strengths, but lets all remember to keep the trash talk off these boards.
  10. The Knights at Sycamore Middle School are currently undefeated. Next game is Thursday, 9-25-03 against Harpeth Middle School.
