The Tournament cannot be moved just for the championship game. Tssaa rules state if 4 teams from the same district are in the semi finals then the tournament will be moved to the alternate site for the semis and championship game.

Here is the thing. Watertown dominated this game for 34 minutes. Then Jackson co grabbed momentum and kept it. They capitalized on penalties and complacent defense by Watertown. Watertown had a lapse in the tackling aspect and seemed to be in danger. But the defense stepped up big on 4th and short and ended the hopes of a blue devil victory. Good luck to all region 4a teams next week that make the playoffs.

Congrats to Coach Barrett he will do a great job!

Whoever host the tournament does not get all the gate. It is given out it shares to those teams playing in the tournament. If the host school got to keep the money, then everyone would want to do it!

Croz- since you think you know alot about football maybe you should offer your services to Coach Webster for offense and maybe help him with his coaching staff.
Talk about mindless chatter.
Listen, I work with alot of people from Watertown, and none of them were giving ya'll a chance against RBS, while I was telling them otherwise. I told them that they would have no problem with RBS. However what's funny is that after the game I talked to a couple, and now they think that ya'll might give FC a game based on just how ya'll did against RBS? While before they were saying ya'll wouldn't win 1 or two games. Talk about someone not knowing much about football.
When other teams come to play Watertown, the expectations are nothing close to what they should be for a school like yours.
And, don't try to be smart trying to explain adjectives to me. I know what they are, and I could think of few right now to describe you, however there are board rules against what I would like to say. What did I say that I know nothing about? I know alot about your PROGRAM and how you underachieve every year. Maybe someday that will change. Until then, get the bug out of your @##. All I did was make a true statement.
I know Coach Webster very well, and I hope ya'lls PROGRAM does well. However, I along with alot of people questions alot of things within your Program. Offense, for one, along with some of the coaching staff.

I think the unsportsmanlike penalty that Watertown's coach got insighted a lot of the hostilities. It was like pouring gas on a fire. I think thats when things started getting out of hand. I know Heady was trying to calm things down though.
He got the penalty because he was probably tired of #3 for Monterey coming in with the late hits.

ELA is correct. Incoming freshman are allowed to workout and condition during the spring. They cannot put the pads on during spring practice. Just call the TSSAA and they will confirm.
-
Old Pirate this came up with Riverdale about four years ago... I could be wrong but my understanding is you can allow them to use the weight room and condition but they CAN NOT put on the pads and participate in the Spring Practice. Call the TSSAA office and they will give you the correct answer but it seems to me that was the rule 4 or 5 years ago when I asked the same question. If it were me, I certainly would not chance it. The wording about being in the same building applies to K-12 or 7-12 schools where they allow 8th graders on the varsity team.
