Well Kim, all I know about Cosby is that they lost to Oakdale by 1. But Jelico is a big question. Alot of people are saying that they are pitiful, mostly because thay have been outscored, forgive me if i am wrong, about 137 to 14, all those points coming against Scott,and they haven't scored a touchdown in three games. But look at who they are playing: Midway, Onida, Williamsburg KY, and they have Coalfield ahead. It's just so hard to say. We'll just have to wait untill Friday when Cosby plays Jelico. :justwrestle:

This was a big confedence booster for Unaka; Those King's Acadaemy kids played their hearts last night.The Lions need to keep digging and never give up. If they continue to work on the field and in the weight room, they can get better, win more, and hopefully more kids will come out. Those two freshmen showed alot of promise. I was amazed last night. That was the best preformance i've ever seen in this region(except for Cloudland, of course). The Huskies truley are for real. I think North Greene will beat out Jelico for Second place in the region now...Good luck to the Huskies the rest of the year!

I know they baet Tenn. School for the Def, And lost to Mt. Juliet Christian. But how will they stack up to the Rangers Friday night?

I've been reading alot about football walk-ons,espesialy at small schools like unaka,cosby,north greene,ect. ... What does everyone think of people coming in to play two, three games ito the season?

Your all right...didn't mean to be to jump on you otpi , the ones who have been there all summer deserve to play. But its a good thing people are coming to help. They know they probably won't play much if, if any that first year, but you got to start sometime. Some others are just now getting around to it. I am involved with the basketball team, and play on the basebal team, so I've been going non-stop since the end of last October. Others may just be begining to have an intrest for the sport. They may become All-State players be thier senior year. You never know...

My dispute is how is this fair to those hard UNAKA young men who have practiced throughout the summer and evenings  IF those individuals returned to play?  THOSE who have stayed with the program and have endured the severity need to be the focus of UNAKA football team, not the ones that backed out when needed most....Several players are not recognized for their efforts while playing - yet to bring those who failed back - will be topic....

You have a small,very small argument.True,they practiced all summer to become better. True,they deserve THE best. But if the players, fans, community leaders,ect. think its not fair that people are coming out to make OUR team better, thay can't have any pride in our school.

Kim,your right abot a "wolf pack" affect with Rusty coming out. I know I'm coming out on Monday... and i think more will follow.After hearing how we played Friday,aside from the fumbles and attempted punts, we are playing better than i'v ever seen. Unaka Rangers ARE #1 in football.......? well, you at least have to have some faith in your school's team

I think Cloudland or USJ for 1A winners... if Cloudland can beat Appalacia VA, they can beat any 1A team.If not, ... USJ is always good
