I do not work for or know one person at the TSSAA but they or Ronnie Carter did not just drop from Mars. The organization is made up of memebers schools that make the rules and the penalties that go with them so if the member schools don't like the rules change them. Gallatin is innocent in this and I think a fine program but because someone lied to Gallatin and thus Gallatin unknowingly presented fraudulent information to TSSAA. I will say it again the TSSAA original decision to allow the player to play was based on fraudulent information and when it came to light that the information was not correct gallatin was forced to pay the price based on the rules established by the member schools. If the TSSAA wanted the money who would make them the most money Gallatin or Glencliff in the playoffs?

This year it will be at Smyrnas field, that actually has grass on it cut low so it is a fast track not anything like that brown patch of intentionally watered down swamp grass they played on last year. I'm being very humble before the SHS vs Oakland game but if we win--------------- stay off the boards because I am going to do a verbal cabbage patch on everyone Besides I had rather have a slightly misinformed, biased Oakland homer on here posting than someone sitting home that doesn't even know when their high school team is playing.

Shaggy if you think this is a prank you are very wrong! The people at Blackman and Lavergne (I have spoke to both) are very serious about this and unless Lebanon takes the steps to pay for repair and replaces the items there will be criminal charges fro felony theft and vandalism. Also region is on this board for the same I am he is passionate about high school football and this is the forum for that in this area. High school football needs as many passionate supporters as it can get and as few thieves as possible.

I have information straight from a source at Blackman that Lebanon dod not just steal a few helmets they stole pants,shirts jersies etc and get this,did a huge amount of damge to the locker room. If all these items are not returned and if restitution s not made to BHS there will definetly be criminal charges filed for felony theft and vandalism. Coach Brown sold his sole over this and nothing he does will ever get the respect back from his players they know what happened and what should have happened, this was not a minor prank it is very serious! By the way this did not cost Lebanon a home playoff game they played their KEY players in this game and would not have beatem Smyrna anyway but at least they have an excuse they can always hang their hat on!

Your right Smyrna and Wolke had never played worth a dime against Oakland, We had the ball inside the Oakland 20 3 or 4 times in the first half last year and could not finish the drives. Despite our poor play last year we still made it to O/T where we lost running option plays in OT (WHY TRY TO PITCH THE BALL WHEN WE NEVER RUN A TRUE PITCH OPTION!) Since Oakland always beats Smyrna I as of this moment bestow the title of Oakland Odds On Favorite To Win This Game! *We will not be able to stop Oaklands running game and our offense will stall against that defensive front and Wolke will crack I just hope we can hang in there and make it respectable at the end *in the bear bryant dictionary this is referred to as "poor mouthing" your team.

I really hate how everything is working out I wanted this to be a game for 2nd place with ahuge crowd! Due to it being halloween it could work either way as far as the crowd but my prediction is a low turnout for both sides. Smyrna has one phase of oakland offense to worry about and that is the running game even the most loyal oakland fan will contend that you are not very succesful throwing. Right now Smyrnas offense is very unpredictable they throw when you think they will run and run when you think they will throw. I have been at every game and I have no idea what play is coming and they can run plays out of more formations than any team I have seen.

Hey aokland as ususal everyone still focuses on Wolke. hope smiddy puts all his effort imto sacking Wolke because he will then be able to turn around and watch marasalous score! Its amazing we keep running for over 300 a game and teams still talk about stopping wolke!

I hope Smyrna plays well enough to keep your @#$ on that hard concrete for the entire game with no reason for you to ever stand! Nothing to whine about for Smyrna everyone is healthy and the running game is great. Lebanon has the speed rep but Marsalous absolutely smoked a couple of their speed players on his 78 yrd run. Am I wrong my understanding is Smyrna is in 2nd regardless of this game or for that matter the Gallatin stuff? (this presumes lebanon beats siegel which they will) Extremely early prediction-----------------------------------------------------------------Smyrna 31 Oakland 21 Both teams have great running backs probably the 2 best around this area so that sort of evens out It comes down to Smyrna having more overall playmakers Orona,Childs,Shanon And Smyrna may be a little deeper. And last but not least I believe our QB may be able to throw if we have to. I don't know how things are at Oakland but other than rivalry games attendance seems down everywhere we played this year even Blackman, has anyone else noticed this?

Smyrna is 100% healthy except for Wolke and I think we will hold him out next week!

The TSSAA does not have the authority to "amend" the rules, they are set by the schools themselves and the TSSAA enforces the rules as written with penalties as written by the schools themselves. If the schools don't like the rules they have the power to change them.

Are they playing against Smyrna? I hope so I don't want any excuses. We want to play Lebanon full speed because Smyrna is ready and finally at full speed and hungry for some quality competition.

As I said before somebody lied to Gallatin that is where the blame lies. I have followed the TSSAA for years and good luck on appeals because they just don't overturn decisions. The facts as I understand them are the player in question did not meet the criteria for a transfer based upon rules decided by the member schools and the penalty is also decided by theses same rules ,there is no one that can decide to wave or change the penalty. Gallatin take the high road win out and make some noise in the playoffs.

I certainly hope all the players play against Smyrna I want them at their best with no excuses. Smyrna is ready for this game! Great week of practice for Smyrna virtually everybody is back at full speed including Hinson WR and Roberson LB. The concentration and intensity are back and the team know what it has in front of it. I expect Lebanon to play to stop the pass after wolke had a field day last year. This will allow the most under rated running game in the midstate to win the game ( the only game we didn't run was rdale and not because we couldn't but because we abandoned it early when we got behind). Smyna always plays press man coverage so the receivers will be covered and pressed to the sideline. From what I have seen Lebanon is not a smash team they try to formation you into mistakes that help use their speed and finess. I think the pressure is off Wolke he and the team now realize the weapons we have and we can win without it being on his shoulders although if you need it it's nice to have a QB that can get it done.
