I will give you two thoughts: 1. If Jesus gave everything for us-then we can up something for him!!! 2. How are you going to argue with this? I can not believe this is even an issue! God Should be the center of your life, without a doubt. When we choose baseball over God we are making that our idol. I would not want to be responsible for players, coaches, and fans having to choose baseball over church. Just remember-without God there is no Baseball. Oh and by the way-this past Sunday was Palm Sunday!

Unfortunately teams do fall apart in the locker room long before they falll apart on the field. I feel that the Riverdale players are mature enough to seperate personal from professional. Riverdale has had and currently has many strengths, and one of them has always been team chemistry. You think this is the first year or the first team that conflict has occurred on. Their system is based on vulnerability and conflict for the simple reason that when they encounter it they can handle it. Need proof look at their history of pressure games (coming from behind in over 20 games last year). Do not worry about the boys on the Reservation they will handle and overcome any road bumps. Things like these make them stronger!!!!

I think we are coming down there next summer to play for about three days, Jed wants us to play him. You all ought to come up because we will probably play a weekend series with a couple of teams instead of commiting to a tournament.

I think the district is wide open with the M'boro schools and Lebanon fighting for the top. Oakland has great guard play, Riverdale has Lyons and solid inside game with Perkins and Onwu, Blackman has Price, and Lebanon will be very athletic. I can not understand why Coach Burks is considered overrated. he has took Riverdale to the region in 3 of his 4 years while having to wait till mid December (after football) to have his full squad. I agree that Coach Turnham is a great coach but Riverdale had not even had a winning season or reached the region in the previous 5 years before Burks became the coach. Not to mention that Riverdale ended a 26 game losing streak to Oakland with Burks' first squad. Coach Burks is young with still a lot to learn, but he has Riverdale on the right track.
