Have not seen CAK or Sweetwater play....Catholic was not impressive early in the year, but I hear they have improved and returned some injured players.....I have trouble believing there is a team in A/AA that handles either ND or FRA without a lot of trouble (not short changing the Novikoff girl, but one forward with or without speed does not run over either of these defenses....I think one of them (ND/FRA) wins it...of course, I'm pulling for a three-peat!

I like your pick...but it is not going to make the public schools very happy! You're right...the heavy talent is on one side of the bracket...some may like this in that all the heavys have to play each other to get to the finals....if you'e on the right side of the bracket you sit back and hope to get a tired beat up team in the finals!

Didn't see the game with Fairview, but from what is being said on line she didn't really have anything to do with the win??? Hope to see her play at state

There is a real danger is putting too much value in an early season win or too much negative spin on an early season loss, teams change, injuries come and go, young players blossom, coaches....well they coach!

Perhaps, but H'ville has some good wins later in the season and they have a top scorer in Sanchez and a top defender in Brown....I think we'll see how they are against a recently hot Revenwood....

Perhaps what futbolboy meant was that some teams focus on getting TO STATE...where other teams focus on nothing less than WINNING STATE...just getting there is not a goal....but that is just a guess.

I have heard that the TSSAA keeps up with this as reported from the Refs...but I have never heard of anyone suffering any consequences from this....it may just be an urban legend. Ultimately you have to depend upon a coach to police his/her players and not allow any player to play dirty or cheap, but obviously some coaches just prefer to look the other way....It might help if reds and yellows were reported just like goals and saves in the box scores!...some players might get their names in the paper more than they might prefer!!!!

I watched Ms. Walter last night in the "slop"....she was very good! Ms. Rogers....is just a junior....still has another year.

I've seen some pretty thugish play by some strikers too! When a player is standing still looking up to play or catch a ball and someone puts a foot in your chest.....it doesn't matter what position they play....it hurts! etc.

Dont' pick on Coniglio....I think he runs long distance for fun.......that is enough pain right there! Anyway, I'm picking my girls to go 3 and 0 in Chattanooga scoring 9 and giving up 2...admittedly I have not seen CAK play...so my opinion there is all off strength of schedule...as for ND....they are good and a much bigger school that FRA so I'm sure they are deep in talent ( great midfielder with a strong leg), but I think ND sees a different team in October and I think that Coach Mac is worth 2 goals....and I do not see anyone scoring more than 2 on FRA in the tournament....plus they are the Champs...and you have to knock the Champ out to win the title! I really think it comes down to who wants it the most.....all three teams are good...and we can't forget the other teams are coming to win also! I'd still love to see a double elim with FRA, ND, and CAK...what a bunch of fun soccer!

So what happens when you are all wrong and FRA goes all the way....do I win!!!!

The Fairview Goalie is a PLAYER....my heart went out to her as she slid, dove and played a great game stopping shot after shot in a total rainy mess....I stopped counting at 28! Best of luck at Butler!!!! Its a great school...tell Dr. Pribush in the Chem dept. hello from Flash!

Your mistake...the players never know the score....just if they scored!

This may sound like heresy...but an FRA loss to Fairview tonight would not be the worst loss to ever happen to FRA....for that matter not the worst loss of the year....Saturday is much more important. This win would do 2 things...give FRA 1 more home game and lock them into the left side of the state bracket! I just hope everyone comes out of tonight 100% healthy!

Since I can't have a Ravenwood v Hendersonville Final...my vote goes for Bearden V Hendersonville (or Ravenwood)....I'll probably get slammed again for not picking FHS...but I've seen the Bearden Team and the FHS and I thought Bearden looked better at the time....they may play and decide the fact going thru the brackets!

Take it to the public v private debate....it doesn't belong here.....you'll find plenty of people that will hammer your position there....Sweetwater still has a chance...a very good chance...the brackets are set so that ND, CAK, and FRA should all have to get by each other before any of them get an opportunity to challenge the Sweetwater team.

I think I saw that Goodpasture is around 440. FRA and CPA are in the 260 to 280 range. FRA is capped at 1000 K thru 12. I think there are only 65 or so in the FRA senior class.

I'd love to see a 3 way double elimination with FRA, ND, and CAK! I'm sure there are some dark horses out there...and 1 might slip into a championship, but I think these 3 are separated from the others right now! That would be a fun weekend tournament to watch!

I'm sure Fairview will be pumped up after their big upset...and getting to play at home.....FRA on the other hand might feel a little payback is due after the recent Fairview and FRA Football game.....probably not Coach Mac's style though....The Fairview Football Coach probably wouldn't catch on anyway....and I'm sure Coach Mac would just say it doesn't have anything to do with the soccer team! Still, I like to see what goes around....come around every now and then! Well, if the only thing FRA loses the rest of the year is a "coin toss" that would be a very good thing for them!

Definately not suggesting anything here....but should any of the 3 top ranked schools get upset in the regions....it looks like they would have a much easier path to the state finals than by winning!......that is too bad.....for everone! just the luck of the draw !!! Does anyone know how the home site for the regional finals is/was selected?

This is probably the biggest debate on Coach T (and on the sidelines of almost every game) You can get all the arguements over in the other section! Basically it is probably a "no win" situation either way!
