DB was picked 3rd finished 2nd...Charlie Morgan voted Cental 2nd or 3rd (2nd i think) in the conference in preseason...I would have put more value in someone tha knows a little about Xs and Os

i have to agree with you there...I have noticed the ron bliss has constanlty had other teams...ths unicoi county? UNICOI COUNTY! ahead of the cougs... but newspapers have never won any basketball games as far as I know and anybody who actually used a brain cell to form an opinion would know that SC has competed in the conference before so why should now be any different. I for one made the comment before the season that SC would make some noise

who said it was the refs? but 38 free throws to 13 does speak for itself. and who questioned if they could compete? they still put 5 guys on the floor

tuff one to swallow...Coty got the T to foul out. 4 free throws for Central and that really was the killer. Buchanon gets 36 and the Cougars take 38 shots from the line to 13 for the Tribe...difference in the game right there

you cant really think because the students stand or sit that decides the outcome of the game.....Volunteer did not "almost" win because the DB kids didn't stand. get serious....there are 10 guys running around between the white lines that decide the game. No student section for any school (including Central) has ever mada any shot EVER to make a flip in a game

I'm not disagreeing...but you didn't say anything about "all night long" you specifically pointed out that the refs handed DB a win and they tried to take a win from the Cougars...they way I saw it was Volunteer and Boone played great games But as I said..of course you would see those 2 games that way because of the DB hate. how about some credit to some great performances Cody 34, throp with 21, Mann with 25 (10 in the 4th), and a freshman for Volunteer with 20! say what you will about the refs handing DB the game but Volunteer took 40 free throws themselves and Mann got 3 DB players in foul trouble...I think 5 guys fouled out (3 for DB) including Cody. And DB had cruised to an 18 point lead before the Falcons caught fire. and how did the refs almost hand Boone a win? Central took 27 free tosses to Boones 12....hmmmm
