  1. yeah i was wondering while it was postin why the eff it was taking 5 minutes to post...
  2. That ref called a great game if you ask me. More refs should call games the way he did. Once players start to realise that theyre not going to be handed fouls EVERY time they fall down, then you'll get more playing out of these guys than acting. Most of the time those players on the ground were not hurt at all, mostly they were milking it hoping the ref would then watch the player who took them down closer so they could get a cheap foul later in the game. EVERY soccer player has done it in their time. look back, the 3 times a player was ACTUALLY injured a foul had been called. Great game, refs called it evenly, he missed the handball and the offsides, but those were the only glaring mistakes he made, and even those are understandable as the play was SO far ahead of him, especially the Offsides, since that call is noted by his linesman. Great game. Great Atmosphere. Great result for the US. Take 3 from Mexico when they come calling on US soil and we're back at square one!
  3. give some mroe details on the game... who scored etc...
  4. for those of you heading to birmingham... see you there!
  5. both teams goal is to reach the elite 8? not likely, I would think both teams goal would be to win the state title, in which case both teams are complete and utter failures... along with everyone else from chattanooga
  6. wow... bcball did you just insinuate that youre really old ("ive forgotten more than youve ever known") and then insult a 19 year old kid ?? Wow, seriously that was just pathetic. To be honest, if the Tournaments weren't trying to bank more cash by havin more teams in them, then Cleveland wouldnt even have had a shot at going to state, couldnt even make it to the District Championship game, which Bradley won. Im sorry but there is no way you can go by the "last team standing" rule in this argument, if anything the teams are even, seeing as how they finished with 1 win each in head to head competition. I mean seriously Ill give you a good example for why that theory doesnt work: The 2004 Grace Golden Eagles, one of the worst teams Ive ever seen play the sport, and yet they made it to their levels Championship game!?!? Were they the 2nd best team in that division last year? NOWAY, were they even better than Temple or CCS who they went further than? NOWAY what they were was lucky, and clutch. That's all that matters, a team get's hot at the right time, while another team is cold, and anyone can beat anyone. It's just pathetic that youre gonna try and personally assault a kid, for having an opinion. Especially when you haven't even said who you are or how you know him.
  7. wow, you are aware that a) justin givens never scored against mccallie, and b)with no seniors on this team, not one player for Ooltewah has ever played with justin givens ... Why do you have to hate on Ooltewah, they played the hand they were dealt in this game, same as your Tornado. However, seeing as how "ifs and buts...". IF the field had been dry maybe the poor clearance that Patrick Johnson scored off of would have gotten further, so he wouldnt have scored. And also IF the field were dry, maybe the Owls counter attack would have worked once. I do NOT actually believe this, just pointing out how rediculous, rude and pointless your speculation was
  8. good deal with holding mccallie. Defense sounds like it's pretty tough. However from all ive heard of the Owls/sweetwater game is that sweetwater was the dirtier team, although the owls didnt help by talking trash right back. i can say from experience of having to go up to sweetwater and play, they were a dirty team then, although i know nothing of them now. however I did hear the owls actually pushed the game against sweetwater, actually outshooting them, but just not being able to find their stroke, firing wide, high, or strait at the keeper...
  9. does anyone get to play in the game immediately following a red card? i mean, they would have to have gotten their appeal into TSSAA really quick, I guess it's possible.
  10. oh wow... according to soccerinfo.com, Ooltewah loses 1-nil to Sweetwater in last nights matchup, as a faithful owl alum, and former player, I muse say Im embarassed by this result, is it possible the Owls are actually as bad as stated earlier on this board??
  11. good luck vs sweetwater guys
  12. CCS and Ooltewah scrimmaged, and it ended at 1-1
  13. our national team needs more fans than just Sams-Army making noise for them... I would love to hook up with them and join in, but the more people all around the stadium aer goind nuts the better the all around atmosphere
  14. that is correct, looks like a down year for the owls, because I highly doubt Baylor really put forth the effort against Ooltewah, and more than likely, Ooltewah just wasn't couldnt deal with East Ridges defensive plan seeing as how ooltewah themselves are defensive
  15. yeah tickets should be available at the gate... ill be in section 37 with my family (there's like 8 of us going) ... be great if all the soccer players in the area can make the trip and really support the USA with some REAL atmosphere for once with drums and flags and everything!
  16. Well according to Soccerinfo.com Ooltewah lost to East Ridge in a scrimmage last night 1-nil, so you can bet Either Baylor was slacking or Just aren't that good...
  17. I was expecting more from Ooltewah, this year than last, but not after hearing they lost 1-nil to East Ridge in a scrimmage
  18. That's true.... the Mexico game is more important, if we leave Mexico with at least 1 point you could say we're as good as through to the World Cup Finals
  19. Im not on a team, but I will be attending... should be fun... anyone else see we throttled columbia 3-nil? even if it was essentially their b(or even c) team... still rather impressive
  20. i didn't hear much about the game except that Ooltewah was more than doubled up as far as shots on goal and that Baylor was the team that pushed the possession. Oh and also that both goals were really nice, having both caramed in off the posts
  21. good to hear, if the defense is strong, you all should be a really good squad... and of course Im sure coulter will be putting up 20+ goals?? it is his senior year after all
