I have to agree. For single A Clarkrange is the absolute worst place to play.

Do these come out before or after the playoffs? I would like to see who advances farther, Rockwood or Midway before deciding player of the year. It would be between Payne of Rockwood and O'Toole of Midway in my opinion. Off. Player of the year- Chad Johnson. Not sure about the other 2.

I think Region 2 may sweep. You never know how Kingston will play. If they play to potential, I pick them by a touchdown. I think L.C. can win and you know Fulton adn A.E. will roll. It really doesn't matter, it will be a Fulton - AE final yet again. They might as well skip the other games. I think Fulton has a better defense than AE, but AE's offense is much quicker. AE doesn't have that great of a line either they just get in the way until their speedsters can cut the corner. I'll take AE in that game, but I don't think they will win the state. Their D is too weak .

Johnson is a great back, but you also have to mention the qb Gurney. He won the A.C. game with a field goal and has kept them in several other games. I think Johson is better, but Rock deserves to be mentioned. Payne from Rockwood would be my second choice behind Johnson, then JUDE O'Toole, not Justin. Justin is a little old for player of the year.

This thread is absolutely ridiculous. I am no fan of AC, but to even suggest getting rid of Kerr is insane. One bad year and your're ready to fire the coaches. What exactly do you do for a living? If you had been a successful productive worker for as many years as Kerr has and have one off year becasue of personnel, not coaching, should YOU be fired?? Get a brain!! They are running the ball because that is their strength this year. You can't be on top every single year inless you have the athletes like AE.

Congratulations to Kingston on their win Friday. I would also like say that quarterback Rock Gurney played a great game Fri. He has been criticized for two years and has finally put together an all around great game. Good job guys, keep it up this Friday.

Xtreme is right, if you weren't talking about drugs, then what is meth? You can argue and say negative stuff, but that is over the line in my opinion. I think those posts should be deleted too.

Bigcat1 I also said he is doing a good job. All you said was "Webb is sorry". Like one previous poster said, on one thread he doesn't sub enough, now he subs too much. What exactly do you not like about Webb? What do you feel he did wrong during the game?? If you are going to down someone at least act like you know what you are talking about.

The only game we will truly find out what Rockwood is made of is when they play the big tornados. They have yet to be tested. Yes they beat Kingston, but we stink this year. Yes, they beat Sweetwater, good win, but not a truly talented team. Wartburg-horrible, Bledsoe-horrible, O.S. -horrible, Harriman-horrible. Everyone is down this year. I think Rockwood has a good team, but the lack of competition will hurt them in playoffs. And lay off Webb, he is a great guy and is doing a good job. That just proves that you can be 4-0 and someone will still be unhappy.

You don't see Kingston winning in YOUR region?? With the exception of Rockwood and Alcoa(which Rockwood won't beat either) Kingston is better than everyone else in your region. They beat Harriman, they will beat O.S., that leaves Wartburg and Sweetwater which they could beat also and Kingston isn't good this year. We play in one of the toughest regions in the state. People have got to realize that Kingston is young this year. We are starting many sophmores. We had to replace almost our entire secondary. Thats not saying we'll be great next year either becasue we'll still be young. But we could still compete in Rockwood's region.

Why did the most popular girls not get homecoming candidate? Did they run? Just curious?

Along with Rckwd2 I was referring to a couple of fans at the game Fri. night who were making uncalled for remarks, who are also big churchgoers. Rockwood has a great team this year. There are some outstanding kids on that team, I know a few of them personally. Just be careful at who you throw stones at and don't give your team and town a bad rep.

Good quote Tank. Rkwd2, You might want to make sure you don't have criminals on your own team before you make that remark. It just disappoints me that some of the ones that were yelling these remarks are suppossidly good churchgoing community members. Yelling at another team is one thing, but don't single out kids, besides as good as you think your own kids are you never know what they are going to do themselves.

Rockwood should handle Wartburg Friday, but be careful about overlooking teams. The Kingston team you all beat is not very good. Oh and try to lay off the Wartburg kids. A couple of the Rockwood fans were pretty ruthless to some of the Kingston players. Remember guys they are kids and you all wouldn't want anybody yelling at yours like that.

Hey CCHS change your screen name if your're such a big Tiger fan. Thats all we hear from you, Rockwood this and that, always bashing Kingston. Where do your loyalties lie?

I can't imagine O.S. girls in single A basketball , they dominate as it is.

Mav your analogy is totally off base. The rate for graduation must be 90% or greater in order to not be on probation. Kingston has a grad rate higher than 90%, that by no means is an F being compared to an F minus. Kingston's scores are always some of the best in the state at all of their schools, they are not just a liitle bit better than some of the other failing schools.

 

Tigers42 you must not go back very far in Rockwood history because there have been a couple of incidents of hazing that were FAR worse than the bats, it was covered up. Notice there aren't many Rwood people on here denying it, and I know they read this thread.

 

Goose I would much rather be out of school than running, wouldn't you, but the ultimate punishment would have been to sit at least an entire game. I don't think people really care about the suspension.

Hey Tigersbball42, go get todays Roane County news and read the front page story that says Roane County High is the only high school not on probation because of their graduation rate. How do you say Kingston cares more about sports than academics. RCHS consistently has the highest test scores in the county and some of the highest in the state. Also none of the boys played before the second half. I was hoping they would not play at all, but they did. Move on and find someone else to bash for awhile. By the way, this whole mess would have been covered up at Rockwood just like a couple of past hazing incidents have been. Be careful who you point fingers at.
