Cutback

Next season in 5-5A, gallatin is going to destroy everyone. Antioch and Hunters Lane will give them competition. They will kill McGavock, especially after what they did to them this past season. Hendersonville will have an exceptionally good team possibly, and Beech will continue the era of rebuilding for the next few years. I know its early to be saying all this, but just based on whos leaving and whats coming back. Gallatin will have lots of players that got alot of action this year coming back, including Ryan McFarland at QB. Their special teams I dont know much about. I know Link the punter and brogan the kicker is gone. Antioch and Hunters lane will have good athletes as usual coming back to make them competitors. Hendersonville will make something out of what they have, they are always a mystery. Beech will have nothing most likely. Losing their "Mr Everything" Meadows, their best defensive players(stats wise) demiola and mcfarland, most of their line on both sides is gone, their kicker and punter and longsnapper will be gone as well. I noticed that Germantown in their 3 playoff games have beaten their opponets 103 to 9. 9 of them coming in one game against the backups. 2 shutouts so far in the playoffs. This will be an extreme challenge for Franklin. Best of luck to both teams.

Although in another thread I started, I picked franklin to lose. But thats only a prediction on a gut feeling I have. I will say, like said by someone on this thread. Middle Tn 5A is the king of high school football in tennessee. I look for this one to be a showdown.

yea fhsrebel, I expected to hear from and knew you would disagree. Although I picked franklin to lose, I will be pulling for them 100%.

Alright guys, we're down to 4 left. All four teams are very good and looking for hopes to win the gold. Whats your thoughts and predictions.... my picks: Riverdale @ Oak Ridge Riverdale 16 Oak Ridge 28 Germantown @ Franklin Germantown 38 Franklin 28 I really hate to pick Franklin to lose, but I have to go with my gut feeling on this one. Last week I went with my gut feeling and pick all visting teams to win, and I was 100% correct. Look foward to a great and cold friday.

Congrats to the Rebs. I also underestimated the commandos. They played very well. Although the 2 point call at the end was alittle iffy. Both teams still played one heck of a game.

well maybe i was alittle off on my scores, but i definitly knew who was gonna win. best feeling about tonights games ive had in a while. look foward to another great week next friday.

Bands are a very important aspect of a football game, b/c when the crowd cant get loud enough, then the bands cranks it up when the opposing team is on offense and it causes problems for them. Its hard to call an audible when a band is blarring highway to heck in your ears.

FHSRebel, i hate to sound this cocky and arrogant, but I think someone should call germantown/bolton, and tell them to go ahead and order the greyhounds for next weeks trip to franklin.

inot2bad, i agree with you that LC is a great football team. Im not taking anything away from them by picking riverdale. Im just got a feeling Riverdale will pull this one out. Riverdale is a playoff team. They've been in this situation several times before. It seems to me that LC hasnt been as strong in the playoffs. I might be right, I might be wrong. I'll find out friday night. I've seen LC play three times this season.Franklin, Riverdale, and Smyrna. I was very impressed with them against franklin and riverdale, the smyrna game kinda surprised me alittle bit. Thats what brings me to picking riverdale with the upset this friday, b/c it is hard for a team to be another team twice in the same season, especially riverdale.

Franklins D will dominate most of the night. Hendersonville will squeek a couple of scores in there somehow, but franklin moves on to semis after this one. Franklin 38 H'ville 17

Im an east/middle tenn man, and I dont know much at all about west tenn teams, so give me some intake on these 2 teams and what kinda of playmakers they have etc...
