Great young woman, good student, nice family, and well deserving.

  2. i've assisted with an orchiectomy or two... both profesionally and argriculturally. the latter makes for a good local delicacy. :hungry:

    NO BALLS!!!

Your use of the English language is astounding. Bring yo brotha and yo beard up for the stanky frankie Little-yellow-Hankie memorial tailgate.

This one will be a good ern.

  3. Rumor has it there was a "noBalls" sighting on the ridge???

Sometimes I guess that people would rather see their agenda play out rather than get the win. I will never understand that thinking.

Tigers played a complete game. Congrats to the coaches and the players. For the first time in a long time I'm seeing a team come together. Lets get in there Monday morning and go to work!!!

  4. i think that the tigers will compete, but i have a hard time seeing them put up points like that. although stranger things have happened, i don't think friday will be pemberton's "coming out party." :|

    NoBalls.......You are well... you know............

I'm gonna try and get your motha-in-law to cut off your internet for the sanity of us all.

I'm just lookin for a good competitive game, no injuries, and marked improvement.

    Go Tigers!!

  5. I'd like to wish the new coach good luck. People bash Macon supporters on these boards (especailly the smith county, trousdale county and westmoreland fans...no offense..) but if you've ever been to a Macon county opener you know that we have alot of fans. We even have alot of fans

at games after 6 or 7 loses. If coach Goolsby wins 4 games this year it will be hugh!!...then maybe some kids will want to play and the ball will start rolling. I watched some of their 1st practice this year and he really keeps the kids moving during practice. Not alot of standing around. I wish him well.

I concur with this statement. I too would like to wish Coach Goolsby the best of luck and give him my full support!

  6. Oooh but now we're playing with yards and meters and its pretty much the exact same time now.

I'd say let them race. And if that's too scary, ping pong.

Watch out! I know first hand that MaHoney can pong!

  7. Football teaches life lessons. It's not always about winning and losing. I watched SC play JC last year and this year.

Although JC was a huge underdog and the games out of hand early, they don't hang their heads and quit. They keep playing to the best of their ability. After the game, they shake hands, congratulate the SC players with theirs heads held high,THEN, join them in a group prayer...........If JC isn't the team with the most class that SC plays, they are near the top. The crowd on JC side was small.....I'vs seen more people at JC basketball games. I know JC is a basketball county....but the kids I saw on the field last night deserve the community support because they represent their community with class and diginity. From what I saw, it looks like the parents and coaches have more to be proud of than the number on the scoreboard.

Good luck to both teams this week.

If Jackson County plays or should I say lays down like they did this past friday, RBS could drop that streak. When I see players stop running in the middle of a play, when they had a line on the ball carrier. That is just rolling over!!! Now I wish more than anyone that JC could get there program back up but there was a better game of pick up in the endzone!!! Coach you can recruit inside your own school!!! RBS, get busy this week and you could do it!!! I'm all for both of these teams. Hope both of you atleast get a win this year!!!

How could you have two differing opinions coming from all knowing OWL country???

  8. Skills and footballace, you two guys are real pieces of work. Both of yall act like you've really done something and know alot about the game of football, I doubt either of you know more than the coaches do. It's this garbage that ya'll are writing that gives the whole program a black eye to everyone. You two have opinions and I have no problem with that, but both of you are not just giving opinions yall are slamming the coaches and that is what peeves me off. Do you actually think that Macon's going to get a proven winning coach to go there the way they're treated by people like you? Both of you are nothing but clowns who probably never played football, but if you did and you want to ask other people there records, I'm asking you, what was your record in high school and what did you do to really help the team out.

Steno, Is it OK to lie in court?? Allright, if you think you are telling the truth and later find out you are wrong, what is the right thing to do? I understand slamming coaches gets you peeved, I get that, but what happens when coaches slam parents??? What does that do for you???

  9. Other teams and viewers will pick up on the discord in Macon Co.?  It will be a miserable season for the malcontents.?  Atleast hush so the boys (Tiger players) can have a positive football experience.?  Let the days of their prep play be positive, not overshadowed by too many tongues flapping by parents who are trying to relive their glory days.

Play ball! Tigers will need to show up tonight against the Eagles. The run will get you!

    Are you saying Twinsleft & weakside69 is a parent/malcontent??

Are you saying somebody can spread lies about someone (Mr. Driver) at will with no consequences??

Who cares what other see, until we can come together, we will not imporve. Isn't that what we all want??

  10. It takes alot of guts to make an apology like that. Its hard to be a coach at any level because you thank alot of all the kids but you want to put the ones out there you thank are going to win. Sometimes you make the wrong choices and lose. Sometimes you may even make the right choices but still lose and nobody will ever know but they can still criticize.

I will echo postus lickus comment. I will also say that sometimes you can gain some respect back with honesty and humility. Mr. Cothron, you have done just that.

However, what about the person who posted Mr. Driver's name and incorrect comments???? Wonder if we will ever know who and what that person does?????

  11. I never said Mahaney was lazy, this has to be the state champion your speaking about.I never said track or any other sports was wrong.I did think we was talking about football, and I as well as you notice the boys that could help EACH sport. I said NO kid was cut in spring practice.I must have struck a nerve,it is the kids choice to play or not.Yours chose not to play, that is your alls right.I wish macon could win the state in every sport,we know that is not going to happen. Is it because we do not have the talent? Maybe,We would have a better chance,if the kids that do NOTHING would attempt to play some sports. The basketball and baseball could never win a game so what, if football looses to cartgage trousdale and westmorland ALL THE BLAME IS PUT ON THE COACHES.I have never and will never agree with this for any school.

    Who struck what nerve???

I hope you are not a coach, if that is how you formulate an argument in an attempt to get a point across to the readers here.

I also hope you are not a teacher if that is the grammer and diction you teach our Macon students.

  12. Actually I'm an Eagle Alumni. Let jog some memories here. In 1987 MC at Westmoreland final score WHS 42 MC 6. For those of you that can remember that far back. Number 24 for the Eagles rushed for 242 yards and 2 touchdowns plus a 50 yd pass reception for a touchdown. That number 24 was me. My career yds were 3,654.00 which was a school record for 8 years but was broken in 1995 by two time Mr. Football winner Clint Brown who finished with a career high of 3,950.00 yards. How many of the old timers read this and know who I am?

    I do.

  13. some one needs to post a link to the tn classic run from yesterday, and check out both divisions interesting race. i feel bad for the jake rainy, mahaney and the other rossveiw dude who went of coarse and ran an extra quarter but its all part of the sport. Like to see some of the times match up between divisions and see what it looks like. nuff said.

Cannot compare............. Would be like comparing apples and oranges. Wait till Saturday and we will know how everyone stacks up. Early season matchup that is supposed to pit Station Camp, Brentwood Academy and Macon in one race. Should get some idea of where everyone shakes out. Will be 180 degrees different from yesterday, hilly and much much hotter, not flat and cool. We shall see.

  14. That's a fact. I personally never played, but a lot of my friends say I wouldn't be near as excited about macon football if I would've played because I would have seen the politics of macon co. I still like to see my hometown win though. My boys might play in a few years so maybe just maybe something will change. I heard that Dyer said when he took the job that if politics would stay out of the way, that in 4 years they would be in the playoffs. Everyone knows what happened. Am I right or wrong?

OK but what happened in year 5 or 6??

You never played, yet you know so much???

You would have seen and understood so much of the "GEO"political dynamic in Macon county as a 16 to 18 year old??? What is your IQ 2000???

  15. Is there no one on here from Station Camp that want's to talk trash...come on guys....it's CROSS COUNTRY SEASON for crying out loud!!!!

    need to teach ludick how to use a computer /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  16. The run last year against Pearl Cohn was great. LAST YEAR... I hope you honestly do not think 25 can carry the ball 25 times a game in 3a.You dont understand why every play is not for 25. I have one for you.Why does your son run track when he could help the football team alot???So please give it a rest,he touched the ball as much as anyone else.

Let me put it in words you might understand

    1 Region Championship Title

    2 Region Runner-Up Titles

Competed in State finals 3 years in a row

What? Is he gonna learn how this gets done on the football team??

The man has an opinion, one which I have heard others say, and one which hasn't been voiced on here until he posted. So unless you have suddenly turned into coacht, keep lining up way to the left and let people express their first amendment right.

PS if you didn't pay attention in history/government class I'm sure you will let it be known.
