Oh lordy, Im just havin fun, at least Dandy got it. Everybody else, calm down!!! A very smart coach at GB has always said that the most important game is the next game. Dont any of you think I forgot it either, geez you people are why I retired!

I tried to fade away while I was still in my prime, but this Pearl Cohn win was good enough to force me out of retirement. . . Ill give it one last hurrah ~ You guys got me till the end of the season ~ Didnt realize I was missed though

I usually stay busy in 3-A, but I came out to watch Friendship Christian last Friday night because I heard how much of a class program they were. I was very impressed with the team, the stadium, the sportsmanship, and the atmosphere. Some of the players from the Gordonsville squad on the other hand showed some of the worst sportsmanship Ive seen lately. I wont call any numbers, but everyone that attended the game saw the D-Back for Gordonsville with the multiple personal foul infractions. He was running his mouth after every play, and didnt seem to learn his lesson after all kinds of yellow was thrown at him. It was very commendable for the Friendship players to keep their cool on the field, but if he had tried that in my region, he would have been on the ground, lookin out the ear-hole of his helmet EVERY play. . . done completely clean and between the whistles of course. I saw a few more of their defenders giving the Friendship running back the business while they had him down on the ground a few times after they had tackled him. This type of thing happens in football - its the nature of the game to be played physically and with emotion - but to play dirty on purpose, and to do it as a player, and/or allow it as a coach, is a crime against the game. Whether youre winning or losing, the game should always, ALWAYS be played with good sportsmanship. Good luck with the rest of your season Friendship, and the playoffs

come on gbt57 open your eyes it is usually so easy to see who people are i mean i  am pretty sure justin groves 03 is oo wait that one is easy and kyle gainous well that is oo that is easy too nah i am playing with ya if you are coming to the boro friday with groves yall should give me call and we can "talk strategy" for the game haha see yall at the game atleast and be careful on here sometimes the Greenbrier faithful will get mad at ya and HUNT you down or atleast thats what they did to me

Guys....this is a once in a life time feeling, don't lose it. Go out there and play with all you have. Win or Lose the community is proud of you and the accomplishments you've had over the years. This year's team will be talked about 25 years from now. Yall have turned Greenbrier from a small one red light town to Greenbrier County!!! (just a joke)

 

GBT57...I know who you are and I want to say something. Uawake2 is obviously a BIG supporter in Greenbrier Athletics, probably someone you know well. So don't be to mean to him/her...you never know who it could be!!! After all here in Greenbrier the saying is..."Everybody knows everybody and everybody calls ya friend! 

 

And I'll leave with the famous words to the announcer on Waterboy.....

Hey, I havent been mean at all, you have to take up for yourself. And, if youd like to look, most things I said were in response... if anything, he/she snapped on Groves... But, I really dont care because if you support GB, youre good in my book. And since EVERYBODY seems to know me, who are you GBmember?

Jacob has done a great job this year at QB. He has stepped up through injuries and played great in the post-season. One more game Giz, keep it up thumb

Alcoa, Fulton, and Maryville have been out there in the past couple of days. Seems like everybody has caught the turf bug

Uawake, I would also like to know who you are... a hint at least, if you dont want to say your name...

I'm not mad but have you ever heard of not telling everything you know. Some things should be shared by only Bobcats. Maybe I look at it wrong or differently but why tell them anything about anything. Just the way I am. Sorry if you don't agree but I do mean well as I know you do. BUt you know how some things are meant for players...GATA

Ok, youve been a loyal Cat poster for a while, so unlike you, Im not going to come down hard on someone who pulls for my team. I dont feel that I disclose any information that is not common knowledge to many people. Im sorry you feel this way, and I dont understand why there is a problem with GATA... Good Attitudes Toward Athletics. Its something that all teams should live by thumb

First of all, GBT57, I just wanted you to know that I am laughing out loud in campus library right now...awesome post, guess I appreciate your sarcasm more than some. 

And as always, I will make no predictions...but to the Greenbrier Bobcats, I will say this:  Wow-what a year! You all have set goals and, I think it is safe to say you have amazed not only the small town of Greenbrier, but many others as well! We are all SO PROUD of you.

 

Focus, focus, focus on the week ahead.  Hard work, determination, and persistence are crucial, but as Bobcats51 said,

"I HAVE SAID IT ONCE AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN THE TEAM WITH THE MOST HEART WINS THIS ONE."
