  1. I can't quite figure out why some of these folks are getting so torn up about Milan losing to Huntingdon. If my memory serves me right, this isn't the first time this has happened and the world didn't end before. Personally I always enjoy this game, win or lose...of course it's always better when you win. Tonight's game was the usual knock down drag out with the game being decided in the final few minutes. Good luck to Milan til we meet again in the postseason. Go Stangs!

  2. This was one of the best games I've seen all year, even if we did come up a little short. Congradulations to Humboldt. Huntingdon seniors you had four good years and went out fighting, good luck in the future. Now what will we do on Friday nights? I guess I'll have to become a Bulldon fan now! :thumb:

  3. I appologize for making it sound like i was downing huntington. Trust me i have respect for what huntington has done i was on milans team in '03,'04,&'05 and all three of those game could have gone either way. I think we had a better team in '03 but yall still won. Thats football, we probally overlooked yall due to us beating yall earlier in the year, but at any rate i understand yall have the rings from that year not us. I really hope yall beat Trenton because like i said i have a lot of respect for huntington, yall usually play the game right and hit hard. Good luck and try not to get anyone else hurt.

    Huntington 37

    Trenton 7

It amazes me that someone from Milan keeps talking about Huntingdon making excuses while at the same time saying Milan had the best team in '03. We've heard this since '03. If they're not crying that they were better, they're saying the championship was played in Huntingdon that year. I wonder how many teams thought they were better than Milan when they got their gold balls? If Milan knows so much about the Mustangs I can't understand how we've beat them four times in the last three years. But this is a Huntingdon/Trenton thread so I'm predicting Huntingdon by 14.

  4. I'm pretty sure you're right about that too!!! It's good that great athletes get recognition for what they do but, enough is enough IMHO. All the "right" people know who these kids are now. Let's back off and give 'em a break for the rest of the season.

I think that IF this game proceeds as it should, everyone will see that the current Rebel QB is every bit as competent as Hayes was. Carr may be a bit behind Hayes in field presence or game intelligence but, he's every bit as good play wise IMHO. And that certainly isn't in any way a knock on Drew.

Good luck to all tonight and hope that this is an injury free game for both teams!!

I've said since before the season started that the recognition that Chris has recieved is a curse to some extent. Everyone likes to have their hard work recognized but the amount of publicity that the Sun and others have given him is a heavy burden to put on a 17 year old. Not only does it place a bull's eye on you in every game but it is a lot to live up to each week. It has to make it difficult to enjoy your senior year with all the pressure they are under.

  5. Its about time we started some good trash talking. And I mean it is good. Not negative or out of line in anyway. I heard that Crocker is going to try and play w/ a hurt back. What is his exact injury? McKenzie or not, if it is a back injury that young man does not need to be on the field.

    GO REBELS!!!

I talked to Cody's dad last week and what I understood is that the injury is not an injury that will cause any permanent damage. He sat out a week because the doctors said he needed some time for it to heal. Apparently it is a small crack in a vertabrae. They were talking to different doctors to be on the safe side. Cody has played well this year even with a stomach virus during the Westview game.

Last week in Dresden Cole McAdams stepped in at quarterback and did an outstanding job also, so if Cody can't play the Mustangs have a very capable backup.

  6. I agree, our players made about as many tackles on their own team mates as Camden did. In the military they'd probably call it "friendly fire". The line has to make holes and the backs have to quit running into each other. Hopefully the first game jitters are over and they'll take care of business tonight.
