  1. i know you guys are loving chewing up the rabbit and spitting him out. but for the record, the post by MR. RFD was a prank, it was not jack rabbit at all. i was there when the some other guys though it would be funny. it was not very funny to coach bradley or jack rabbit. pc will bounce back this week. no shame in losing to a better team. even if it was a one man show. to Daily: congrats on the rushing record: you definitly deserve it. go vikings
  2. dont count out that defense just yet, they were playing the best back in the state. after playing him everyone else will look like slow motion!!! i say pc bounces back this week. they had one fumble that killed the momentum but it was on special teams. the offense seemed to cure the fumble problem. now work on the penalties and that offense will start moving the ball. i say pc by 14.
  3. who are you? all you do is dog you own team. the top teams in the state? mp, cw, wc, these teams are just as tough as anyone in the old region. if we were still in that region we would already have a playoff spot for winning two games. how tough is that ????? i am a viking, just as you but i support my team. go vikings
  4. last years schedule is the same as this year. we have not played Zion, they are the last team on the schedule. last years team was 1-2 at this time. other than me, no one is giving any credit to this team. i agree with the last post and what coach bradley said in the paper. we still have to beat the top three to be where we want to be. jack rabbit you do not need to talk smack until after you have proven you can stop this guy. go vikings
  5. lets see, they have the best start in pc football, first 2-0 region start in the shcool's short football history. read the Tennessean this morning?? they have the leading tackler in 1A. Robert Francis ! and Derek Phillips is tied for first in interceptions. and the best kicker in the region. but according to you "they havent done nothing" they may not win this week but they are playing a more athletic team. on paper mt pleasant should win. on paper mp should beat everyone in the region. the games are not played on paper. so far pc is finding ways to win even with all the turnovers. the turnovers will stop and they will, "do something" go vikings
  6. it is good to see that coach laster is keeping up with the old team. if i was an outsider on this one, i would pick mt pleasent by 21. but i know this pc team and they are motivated to stay on top of the region. i think pc will get that turnover issue resolved this week. i believe the defense can prevent the big plays that killed huntland and mc. will it be enough to stop the region 6a champions though? hard to say. my pick is a vague one... if it is a close game in the 4th. Perry county will win. go vikings!!!
  7. first of all.. CA has improved a ton since being beat by Forrest. 2nd... PC only gives up one score a game and no team has rushed over 100 yards as of yet. including Mcewen who runs over every one they have played so far. against pc only 75 yards TOTAL offense. 3rd...CA could not stop our running game. we turn the ball over 5 times again this week.. that is an avg of 5 x per game and the defense keeps us in the game. the vikings have only punted 5 x in 3 games. would it kill you to give pc a little credit. we may not beat mp but i do not believe it will be blow out. this is not the same old viking team of years past. i mean the only good team the trojans have played so far... beat you. are we bashing you? statistically, like it or not. the vikings have the best defense in the region. go vikings
  8. fyi.. the single wing does not have a qb position. it has a tb, fb, wb, and a blocking back. but no set qb postition. the fb recieves just as many snaps as the tb or so called qb. against mcewen i believe the fb had more carries than the tb. the sw is ran, not because you dont have a weapon, it is run to take advantage of as many weapons as possible. when you have 4 good backs and an avg passer you need to run the sw. i also thought the way you did, until i seen the offense run. pc has 6 backs that they can use and only 4 saw action friday against mcewen. you will find out first hand tonight. go vikings.
  9. one good punt pushed us to the one yard line but we pushed it 60 yards before a bad snap put the ball on the ground. the second time was also an unforced fumble for negative 10 yards and 15 more yards in penalties. mcewen tried 3 screens unsuccessful, all other passess failed. they tried a couple of reverses and a whole lot of punts. one first down in the first half. all we can say is shoulda coulda.
  10. didnt play starters? what game were you watching? 14, 36 and 40 played the whole game and only racked up 75 TOTAL yards of offense. ' 5 turnovers on bad snaps is what lost the ballgame for pc. other than that pc dominated the game.
  11. stats perry county defense held mcewen to only 75 Yards TOTAL offense. pc racked up close to 150 yards rushing and 96 yards passing. 5 TURNOVERS AND 11 PENALTIES FOR 85 YARDS KILLED THE VIKINGS. one 38 yard fieldgoal for pc. the only stat that mattered was the numbers on the score board 8-3 mcewen. this was one hard hitting football game. the best i have ever seen perry county play. if we stop the turnovers and penalties they can go a long way. go vikings!!!
  12. perry county wins a close one. pc 21 mcewn 13 go vikings
  13. i thought pc looked the best of the three. i am just as bias as you are. during 10 plays pc scored first on thier tenth play and then waverly scored on their tenth play. pc then scored on harpeth and harpeth could not score in ten plays. during regular play waverly did not score on pc because they fumbled in the red zone and pc took over and scored. with a three way scrimmage it is hard to tell what would happen if just the two were going at it. pc defense looked weak at times. but they only allowed one touchdown vs both teams. a lot of misdirection on the offense, i just hope it doesnt confuse them selves as some one posted earlier. go vikings
  14. does anyone know how the passing league went that had collinwood, perry county and wayne county in it. i think parsons riverside and richland also played in that league. how did region 6 look out there? go vikings
  15. I wouldnt be surprised if jessup isnt the best qb by far in region 6a, in fact i would say count on it. i wouldnt say the best qb. pc has a great qp returning as a junior. chris reed. i hear he has packed on some muscle and speed and will be one of the top qb's this year in 6a. in fact i would say count on it.
  16. it is official. coach bradley was hired this week as head coach. he was out of town all week taking his church youth group to camp so i have not talked to him, but i plan on it. to knowledge, i was not bashing the last ten years. coach rice could have definitly done better in a different region or if his family would have moved to linden. i do not feel that any of the previous coaches cared much for linden though. you said it yourself, they didnt care enough to go to meetings. two years and move on was most of the m.o.'s of those coaches. Rice has been the longest so far and i loved him as coach. coaches have everything to do with a teams attitude and success. and now we have a head coach again i hope this community will support the team and new coaches. go vikings.
  17. i do not believe they have interviewed anyone from within our region, with the exception of bradley. do you personnally know the guy your talking about? all i know is they did hire a guy from eagleville and i think he starts this week.
  18. i personnally dont believe that hiring coach bradley is a "gamble" i believe he is what this program needs. poor choice of words on my part. they need to make a decision, what ever it is. the team needs closure so they can focus 100% on the next season.
  19. why do you guys keep bringing up the experience issue. bradley has playing experience in highschool and college, 5 years of coaching experience and has basically lead this team for the past year. nobody would know this team better than he does. anyone who talks to him can tell he is a real student of the game. perry county has been hiring football head coaches based solely on experience since the program started 10 years ago and it has got them no where. i say take the gamble on a young, energetic guy and finally get this program where it needs to be. go vikings
  20. i heard they hired an eagleville guy that was from parsons, not as head coach though. as an assisstant and they may hire one more assisstant. last i heard they are still interviewing for the head coaching job. go vikings.
  21. you are right, it was last year when robinson left. the guys i talked to really want coach bradley to get the job. they like the offense he has going and seem really excited about the season. i talked to joseph t. and a couple more seniors about it. go vikings
  22. robinson has been in chester county for the last 2 years, i doubt he would go to waynesboro. bronson is up for the pc job i doubt he goes but i hear they did offer. good luck coach rice
  23. Great job, you know all the has beens. about 5 on that list are way off. i was talking about the present program, numnuts. none of the guys on your list played anywhere. the present program had three this year to sign scholarships to play in college forest white. full ride austin peay. calvin zemer. bethel brad sanders. bethel. past teams cant say that. you need to get to know rice and bradley before you bash them on here. this years team is motivated more than any other team since we started it in linden. had you been around this program you would know that. coach rice, it has been great having you here. good luck at the boro with your boys. go vikings and good luck coach bradley.
  24. truefootball. you obviously do not have a clue about this program or the coaches. i also had doubts about coach bradley because he is young, but i went to the football scrimmages this spring and he has totally won this football fan and the vikings team. they looked pretty good. the offense is totally different, i dont know the scheme he was running but they were in shotgun 100% of the time. i thought they moved the ball very well. this team looked excited and ready to win some ball games. the only score tca had was a pass to an open reciever because our corner fell down. coach bradley was calling both offense and defense it looked like. all the players i talked to this week want him as head coach. off the subject.. i didnt know devin bunch was an official. good job buddy. go vikings
  25. i think everyone is pretty much on money with these predictions. besides rice going to waynesboro, are there any other major changes in the region this year? i havnt got to talk to any of the players at linden about the change yet, but it has to stink losing a head coach, especially to a rival. how does that effect the region. does that make waynesboro better or Linden better? does any one think it will matter? by the way is there any word on who will be the next head coach at linen? i am going back this summer from school and cant wait to see what's next for the vikings. here is my predictions by the way. mp c.wood huntland mc wc pc (sorry guys, nothing personal) cornersville ca zion. go vikings!!
