Congrats to the Rebels! The best porformance by a High School team I've seen in a while. Antonio had some really great runs. I don't think anyone saw this coming, Central's turnovers hurt them greatly. We will probably see them again in the playoffs.

I hope all you maryville sheep are on here Monday morning to face the music when the bobcats destroy what's left of the maryville program.

I don't think Central will be able to handle Maryville. They lost to McCalie, and by what I 've heard McCalie is not as good as Maryville. I feel Maryville's defense will be able to do a good job stopping the offense, and I don' t beleive I can say the same about their defense stopping us, I'm not saying Central has a bad defence, because they don't.

 

I don't know what it is, but its like a curse or something, Central just can't beat Maryville.

Another good game for the Rebels! Cade had a good game again, and the running game was also good. Some easy catches were dropped and that will need to be worked on. Tank looked impressive in the 4th quarter.

 

Hopefully Lawhorn dosen't have a tare, he is a great player!

I don't know if this one will be close as everyone thinks. Sure, Powell is big but then again they haven't played against a team like Maryville. I do think though this will be Maryville's toughest game this season. Hopefully Cade will be on fire again, RBs need to run well, and the defense puts on a good game.

Good game for Maryville. Score did not indicate how much Maryville dominated. Cade again had a good game. Sophomores looked good.

 

Seemed like the talk around where I was sitting, was about how the WB fans cheered like they scored a TD after something happens, that most people wouldn't get to exstatic about. I personnaly have never seen a crowd cheer that loud after they stop an RB for 5 yards. Which isn't a bad thing. If we all cheered like that all of the time, it would give the team a boost.

 

Powell should be a tougher opponent next week.

I heard Cade has verbally commited to NC, I don't know if that is 100% true or not.

Maryville has way too much, true you can't overlook them, but I think Maryville is disciplined enough where they don't overlook a team. Maryville 45 WB 7.

Yep, that was a very impressive victory, if Maryville can play like that they can make it very far. I was impressed Maryville only made 1 turnover, considering the rainy conditions.

So I just got word that the William Blount game has been cancelled due to really heavy rains in the greater Chattanooga area.

 

This isn't going to happen to the MHS game too is it?

I doubt it, the strongest rain hasn't reached us yet.

Schools closing all over East Tenn for tommorrow, looks like a steady rain outside for here.  But looking at some news guy at Knoxville and his looks like no rain and not even puddles.

I stand corrected from my earlier post, I didn't realize schools had closed.

From what I understand the hardest won't come until later tonight, meaning after the football games are over. I don't think schools having the chance of being closed tomorrow effected their descision much, because in all likelyhood that won't happen (schools being closed). Even if it isn't raining as hard Friday night, it will be flooded. Would you rather play when it is raining, or when the water is up to your ankle?

Depending on when Ivan hits, and how strong it is, they might delay this game, happened at lasts years play-off. If they don't, and the field is wet, I don't think it will effect Maryville as much, because they are more prepared for the slicker conditions.

Maryville played very good last night. Cade was on fire. The 2nd string team didn't score any, but that's ok, they did their job. I guess the talking to they got after last weeks game really helped, if Maryville plays like that every game other teams are going to have a tough time handling Maryville. Childs is really becoming a great player, and Tank and the rest of the 2nd string, are getting really good also. Next week at Mo. West will be our biggest challenge yet, and we need to play like we did last night.

You are making yourself look bad by posting like that.

There is such thing as 1 or 2 bad games, and Maryville had one. I believe I have said this before, but you cannot base a team on one bad game. If this Friday Maryville absolutely flattens Heritage, I doubt we will see one post that says " Maryville is overated". that would go for any game.

Wait untill later in the season before you say a team isn't as good as they are advertised.
