  1. Semi good list chatt soccer: I would definately add Trey Meyer; David Reaves; Chris Bach and Patrick Johnson to that list. Subtracting JD Moss also. Also, in my opinion Andy Slack and something Kimball both from Mcminn also deserve to be put in this discussion.
  2. The two state contenders were BGA and MBA. Maybe, Father Ryan, but i doubt it. The east could definately compete with every middle team. After BGA, I would take pretty much any east team over any middle team, except maybe MBA. McCallie finished fourth in our region and dominated both USN and BA.
  3. Hate to say it stone, but they are correct. (BTW Kirk and Blackburn graduated two years ago and blackburn was only 5"10' or 5'11") ON our starting team i think that trey is the only person over 6. Everyone else is pretty small.
  4. What are your thoughts about the upcoming game between the Cleveland Raiders and the Ooltewah Owls? Key Players? Opinion about the outcome of the game?
  5. East is the strongest, closely follwoed by the west. THen the middle. East is very very balanced, while the west is a bit top heavy. THe middle only has two teams that can be considered state "contenders."

  7. Good point Hoya. Tony Meyers is a great coach and is well-liked by most of the players. While many outsiders seem to second guess him, his team is 100%behind him, as they should be.
  8. BA would probably beat every public school in chattanooga, except for Ooltewah, Soddy, and CSAS. However, they would not hang with Notre Dame, CCS, Baylor, or McCallie. They were skilled, but small and not terribly agresssive. However, it appears you had a young team so the future is birght.
  9. Are bach and koehl really out for the whole year? Anyone 100% sure about this? Because Kedrowski was supposed to be out for the year, but he has been back for a couple of weeks.
  10. McCallie definately did not "luck up." In fact, I felt although Catholic had alot of the run of play, I think McCallie created the more dangerous scoring opportunities.
  11. Right i meant U-18 for the chattanooga team also.
  12. Seems to me that the good players from the state are just spread out at different schools. For example three years ago all the top select players in Chattanooga went to Baylor or McCallie, making for some very strong teams, but now the only u-19 select team is made up of about half mccallie-baylor people. IN knoxville, impact is also spread out all over the place, farragut has the most with three or four.
  13. Webb 2 McCallie 1....Webb scored on a counter attack with about 2 minutes left. WEbb is definately a solid team, they could still make some noise in the region. McCallie did not play to potential (falshes of brilliance, but played with little enthusiasm). Shot count was something like 9 to 5 McCallie.
  14. Yes, I alone should have had three, and we did not play with any passion.
  15. You have to think in baseball to, just not as much.
  16. Who got redcarded for ECS?
  17. McCallie played well against Hendersonville, they scored off a deflection, which McCallie's keeper said was originally going wide until it was deflected. Hendersonville is a very good team they gave McCallie and Parkview acouple of great games, but they seemed to lose it against grissom. Their defense is suspect, but other than that they are very solid. McCallie has gone 3-3 over the past two tournaments. Considering who they have played that is a very very respectable record. I feel like we are right where we need to be going into region play. We need to get and stay healthy (Larkin) and we will be fine. We just played the best game of our season against Parkview. So I feel we are peaking at the right time.
  18. Alex Crabtree from McCallie, when Trey got hurt he stepped in and has made some amazing saves. The only thing holding him back from being one of the top two or three goalies in state is his size.
  19. Nouri Rahbe and Joel Bradford for McCallie. Nouri stepped in for an injured center mid and played like a veteran against some of the best teams in the south. Joel scored 3 goals in three games in this same tournament. These two are definately making an impact.
  20. 3-1 Farragut sounds about right to me.
  21. In my opinion, I just don't think we have gelled yet. We usually play solid defense, but at times our offense is still very out of sync. We have been moving players around and are still searching for the right fit. In regards to the two losses in a row. That is true, but in my opinion they were both good losses. CBHS is a very very solid team, and we did take them to OT. Bearden also still has a strong team. Against Bearden we hung with them, even though we were tired and had a few injuries. Also, Bearden's strength fit in perfectly with our weakness; size. Pretty much their whole team was 6 or above. Two of their goals came on corners so I feel like we played with them and made a good showing throughout the tournament. As a player, although you always want to win, I was happy with the way we played and I think we learned alot from that tourney.
  22. High school field players only I would say this group needs to be considered: Mitch Thomas -Lenoir City Brett Schreiber - Science Hill (I think) Jake Dougher - Baylor Jared Britcher - Farragut Todd Vincent - Bearden Evan Giordano - Knox Catholic Michael Houbre -Knox Catholic Drew Courtney - CCS Matt Blair - Oak Ridge #5 - Oak Ridge Russel Kramer - Webb Criss Golden - Ooltewah David Reaves -Cleveland Aaron Doyle - Farragut Spencer Brobowski -Farragut (especially if he was healthy) Chris Bach - Baylor Jared Something - Mcminn Andy Slack -McMinn
  23. What was the score and how did both teams look?

    Baylor

I heard Kedrowski broke his ankle is this true.
  25. Trey hurt his arm in the oak ridge game. Hopefully, he should be back for next weeks tournament in Atlanta. On McCallie's backup, Alex Crabtree, I think he is the best backup in state. He would definately start for most teams. McCallie did hold its own they played with a lot of effort, but I think for most observers it was apparent that CBHS was the more talented team. A very well played game. I think come tourney time these two will see each other again.
