how are the boys looking after the first week of practice?

Nice article in the paper today on the Red Devils. How was the first day? I figured there would be a lot more posts after the first day the team met. Any last minute changes with players or coaches?

I do not know alot about football, but it would seem to me that the most important thing for an offense would be to get the ball in your playmaker(s) hands. With the Wing-T offense and the variety of formations that can be ran out of the offense would this not be ideal in getting mismatches and allowing Dayton to get one on one with a LB etc. It seems that if the offense is used the way it was made to, then it could be a dangerous offense to defend. I could be completely wrong, but someone with some knowledge on the subject please enlighten me.

How long has it been since a impact player transfered in to Halls? Is it because they play by the rules on contacting kids out of zone, unlike some others, or is there just no interest in playing at Halls right now?

what did wagner play at fulton? will he be a big impact player for west this year.

With practice right around the corner, is there anymore news on the coaching situation that was brought up earlier

footballu needs to get on a 3A thread to talk about Fulton. Last I checked they were not in region 3-4a. How can you say Helton was no good, I believe he was at least hon. mention all state 3 years, maybe all 4. Your cuz, alternate spelling at the other end of Broadway, is probably one looking for excuses as to why he does not play. From what I hear from a realibe source that is within the Bobcat program, they tried to schedule Fulton, but Fulton will not play them. I do not know if that is true, but what I have been told.

does anybody know what day it will be on, what the schedule is, and where it is? heard it was being moved this year

where are all the halls faithful? zcar, fairplay, do you know if there has been significant players quiting or coming? and anything about the coaching rumor?

How is the summer going so far for the red devils? any players quit, transfered, transfered in to the crossroads, etc? also heard a rumor that a new coach was coming to halls, any truth to this, and how is there room if no one left?

are any of the young guys standing out during practice? it seems with baseball, track, and soccer still not there, this would be the opportunity for some of these guys to get some playing time. it also seems like a good time to get these guys ready to provide some depth next season.

From what seems to be the story, no one really knows the whole truth except for Julian and Cooper or if it happened in weight training the kids in that class, how in the world does anybody see Cooper in the right and Julian in the wrong. Julian is trying to get Halls back to the glory days and has implemented a system of doing that, it seems that it is catching on based on the success of the JV and Freshman teams since he has become the head man at the Crossroads, and no one kid is bigger than the system. If Cooper refuses to do something and is allowed to get away with it, then everyone sees that and thinks they can get away with the same stuff. To get to the point that if it was in a class and that was the assignment for the day, he should have got a F for the day. I am sure that the English department lets all athletes pass on assignments on the day of games. I agree with Haveityourway, if you didnt want to lift during baseball then you should not have signed up for the class.

i agree with the sneaky one, when do players tell coaches what they will do? do you think quarles and coatney allow that to happen? sometimes you have to let people go for the better of the team.

does anybody know exactly what happened with cooper? the problem i see is not whether or not if turner is capable of coming in and playing, but who will be the back-up. giving turner this year of experience before his senior year will give that group a much better chance of going deep in the playoffs because if i am not mistaken was that not the group that went 7-1 as freshman

so does this mean the annual spring and fall scrim against db has come to an end?
