That’s it in a nutshell. No diversity on offense.
Been that way for years

We have hosted several high caliber players and Simpson is one also but we will not take it as just being able to host a team we are going to war. Alabama commit or not it’s still Friday Night Lights and the Tornadoes are looking for the upset
Really should be a sarcasm detector on the T

It’s just an honor for the Tornado program to be able to host such a great program with an Alabama bound QB …

Union City needs to do nothing but practice defense this week … Having said that UC will win pretty handily … GO TORNADOES !!!

Hopefully everything works out and the game gets played … Go Tornadoes !!!

Score predictions? Union City 49 Houston County 12

Not much talk about this one … The game still on ?
-
Thought the game is in Union City ?

I’m surprised the UC-LC game was played in the first place … I figured LC would check out before the game … As far as UC-USJ it’ll be a tall order for the Tornadoes to come out of Jackson with W … UC fought hard last season before running out of steam … I hate to predict a loss but I’ll go with USJ 31 UC 10 … Hope I’m wrong … Put it on the bulletin board …

Why in the world is Covington playing SF?

I’m more excited about hearing the defense seems to be getting a good bit better

This year was a down year as we expected but most of our starters played hard. If we are down or are winning big the coaches need to learn to give reps to the younger players. That builds depth and who knows you might discover a diamond in the ruff. The next three years I believe will be a lot better for UC. Mark it down. Those on the sideline are hungry and ready to bring the pride back to the program. I will say as a former coach the offense needs to be opened up more. The line will be stronger next year and I think after another offseason of weight and conditioning training we will have a very strong and talented team. Coach Markle can coach but he has to step it up. With the talent he has there will be no excuses. The talent is there and it don’t have to be seniors. Use the best players you have. I watched many practices this year and the starters had issues but it’s wasn’t because our starters weren’t good it was because the scout team was very good and wanted to prove they could play and they did. Next season UC region champions.
I agree with you 100% on the offense but more than anything we got to get back to playing tough, hard nosed, physical defense.

Big hill to climb tonight. Have to play the best game in a number of years and put the past few games with the Tide out of memory. Best of luck to the Tornadoes.

What besides PHS not showing up can the Twisters do for this game to have a different outcome ? You have to wonder when UC is outmatched in every aspect of this game, but we all know any given Friday things can happen that defy reality ! I know both programs well and there really hasn't been the change I thought there would be in UC this year,so here goes my analysis it's one sentence ! UC has to play 4 yards and a cloud of dust and keep the Tide Offense on the sideline ! Can it be done ? Time will tell. !

I don’t disagree with you ... I was the one that said the only way we win the first time around was if the Tide had to forfeit due to COVID ... Got some of our UC posters butthurt ... Having said that though in the first game had Union City put more pressure on Peabody as in scoring TDs when we got down close, and we did, you never know what could have happened. What happened was we got close and had a FG blocked inside the 10 yd line and had a drive stopped by a turnover inside the 10 yd line. You never know what happens if you go into half down 21-17 or even a 21-21 tie. Peabody is a really good team. We will have to come up with a great defensive gameplan. Peabody ran on us and they passed on us. As coaches and players you have to go in believing you have a shot or there is no reason to go down and play. UC really has no pressure on them. All the pressure is on the team with the long winning streak and all the expectations. Union City knows all about that scenario. It happened to us when Peabody came in and ended our 38 game winning streak. Honestly it will take UC playing out of their minds and turning over Peabody two or three times. We don’t beat them playing our best game and them playing their best game.

UC wins 29-21
Would be considered an upset ... Way come back after they took the lead late ... Alot of teams would’ve given up after the last few weeks ...

Wonder if either will try to schedule a game with each other ? He just beat an undefeated Mayfield team on the road …
