biglon, you better believe the Central Bobcat will be around. The Cats of Oak Ridge should not have much trouble with the Indians this time around, may be close for a half. Thats if the Cats use their weapons as they as did this week, if they go back to a one man offense they will lose, but they seem to be on a really good offensive roll right now. I don't know what has happened but their offense seems so much more balanced now. I have not been to their games but I have seen most of their replays. The big tight/rush end #43 and #45 fullback is as good as I have seen. Enjoy littons I will try and come by but you know where I gotta be Friday night, we have the privilege and opportunity of putting the Rebs out, it will be tough but the way they struggled against Powell we have good shot. Grad, I am not against the Indians never have been ,I just really thought the Owls would pull it off with, the cold weather and the big receiver being out of the game. I understand Dobyns-Bennett opens the basketball season at Knox Central this year, is your astute basketball knowledge as mind numbing as your grid iron expertise. There is not disharmony in the Atomic City! If you will notice there are only 2 idiots on here. And I don't use the term "idiot" loosely....only an idiot would start a thread using the word "underachievers" in the first round of the playoffs! Who knows if rayray is really an OR fan or someone trying to stir something up to get things off track! Not to worry the mighty Wildcat Express is on track and will roll Friday night at the "Ship"!! ORFEVER, Maybe it is not disharmony, but I work with several people from Oak Ridge both fans and former players, and they have all expressed to me their displeasure with the lack of imagination from the offense especially in the passing game and with not getting the ball to their athletes as much as they should, and believe me these folks for the most part love Oak Ridge Football. I don't have a dog in the fight just thought you might like to hear it from an outside observer. I have much respect for the Oak Ridge program, to me it is the best there is in high school football. All right all you D.B. fans I know you missed me. You pulled one out last week, I did not think you had it in you but you did and congtraulations again. This week I am afraid the run ends right there in Sullivan County. Soddy is a tough hard nosed bunch and they throw the ball as well if not better than you guys do. I think it will be a fun a game to watch, and if your really talented athletes can play under control I give you guys a great chance, but I am not so sure they can, and I believe they will become frustrated with Soddy's discipline hard nosed yet wide open style of play. DRdb, vandy, pain, all you D.B. fans congratulations on the victory , but why do you want to blame the refs for a close game, why don't you blame your wideout who let you and his teammates down by putting himself before the team just so he could bring attention to himself, or you could even blame the cold weather and your coahes offensive philosophy. Vandy, Congratulatiopns on the win at home against the fourth place team in the region, guess you guys missed your star receiver, or was it too cold? I was right about the passing game in the cold as usual. I guess your coaches panicked a little if you thought they should have run the ball a little more, wonder why they did not? You never did answer my question as to who had won the most state championships you or Oak Ridge? You made the statement that you all were the winningest team in Tn. football or whatever. I was just curious as to how many state championships you had won, since most people in the state still try to emulate the tradition that is at Oak Ridge. Soddy will wear you out. Central Bobcat

Bobcat, DB has not been in many situations that they had to prove they can run. But, a few times they have shown that they CAN run. One game, Karns, they came out and ran a ton against their big DLine. People, DB can run the ball, they have the athletes to do it, but it just has not been necessary to this point. Big Dee Peeler 6 ft 1 230lb can run over anyone and Stephen Moten 5ft 10 175lb is quick as a cat, can cut quick, and is strong as well. Duran can always go ahead for at least 4 or 5 yards (he is a big guy) and Tyler Nottingham is just blazin straight ahead fast. These guys are as good or better than anyone DB has had runnig the ball. You just don't see 1 person running over and over. They spread out the run when they do run.
Bud , I know you guys can run on Karns but I think the Owls present a little tougher defense than the Beavers. I can't help but wonder what will happen when on one of these cold playoff nights and you can't throw it will you be able to run it enough to move the chains,a of lot teams panic when they get in that situation,because they are not used to run blocking for an entire game, and that cold night will come, maybe tonight, maybe later, but it will come, the teams who run the ball the best usually win the state championships, ask Riverdale. You come to the Super Wal-Mart first, then maybe 1-1/2 miles to the Fort Henry Mall (on your right), just past McDonalds. You can smell the stadium from there. Just go another mile and you are going to try to pull into the parking lot on the right.. Note. Get to the stadium by 6:00-6:15 if you want to park in the school parking lot. Otherwise, you will just have to find a place, but that is not difficult, there are several lots at the school site. Parking friendly. Come early, enjoy the atmosphere of the winningest football team in Tennessee History. It is good.

Loser to Karns and to Oak Ridge last year in the playoffs, or a murvul reb who is afraid to move up to 5A and play the competition you should, all of Tennesse knows you should be in 5A but you would lose to the Wildcats every year just like you did this year when you scrimmaged them in the Summer,if you would play them at all, and I am sure you would not if you did not have to. MHS, you are just scared because you know what will happen if you meet the Mighty Bobcats again, and yes you did beat us in the regular season, but I believe we have some new personnel you have not seen and there is no way your non athletic team can compete if you make it that far.This is certainly not one of your better teams, although they probably have already over achieved. I expect MHS to come out and be ready to win #11, soundly. Remember the flat execution the team had last week. GQ is running the heck out of the team this week because he knows the team is getting ready and has what it takes to make a great run this post season.
We are a little banged up and some starters will not see action. Some may not rotate in like normal. Key is to get out there and go hard for a half and a qtr and put this one away early. Rhea will be ready and we'll have to answer! Go Rebs!

I reckin' it's time to through the nice fan stuff out the window. Owl fans, if you brought the Boobcat with you, take him back on your long ride home. This is the longest Road Trip in TSSAA 1st Round Playoffs. I am glad the Indians are doing the waiting and not the one's riding the horses.
The Ooltewah Owls score 7 pts last week in a must win game. They completed more passes to the opposition in the last 3 weeks than they did to there own team...
DB has more weapons than the US Army. We can hit big play after big play with big play players after big play players. #1 will take it easy this week, maybe it is a good thing that Lamon sets this one out. The Chopper's D is more than enough to stop a 1 dimensional offense.

DB football has not choked, simply got beaten by better teams. Lost to Oakland in the semis, Oakland won the championship, Red Bank 2000 semifinals, DB gave the nationally ranked Lions (with Gerald Riggs) all they wanted at Red Bank in the pouring rain, it was Red Banks closest game, Red Bank went on to crush Riverdale the next game (championship game) on Riverdale's turf. In fact go through our playoff history and you will see that when DB loses it is to a team that makes some noise, usually the eventual state champ. The only year you might could argue that we choked was against Willian Blount in the first round a few years ago. Here is a little known fact about that game, The Govs had an all around Star athlete (Reese or something like that) He had been hurt for about half of William Blounts games, guess what? The Govs lost every game that they played without the kid. Well he made his return against DB and basically was the most dominant player on the field that I had seen in 10 years. Then the Govs go on to play Ooltewah after they upset DB. Guess who did not play for William Blount? Thats right, their star was injured in the last part of the DB/William Blount game and Ooltewah should be happy they never had to see the kid. I think it was Reese McMahon or omething like that. Anyways the Govs never lost a game when he played and he was incredible. That was the one game that I felt DB let slip through their fingers.

Rebs we all heard about the good fortune and the help of the refs at the Powell game, you won't be so lucky this time. Better get ready for B'Ball season. This will be like a bad dream for you guys, and oh yea don't forget to turn in your equipment on Monday the 22nd you have had a great year. We will finish it for you. Central Bobcat
