McNine4MVP, Interesting coments. I would not like a bracket that pitted me against a team like Franklin(1st round) and then Ravenwood(2nd Round). Although if you are right Antioch in all likelyhood will be in the bluecrooss bowl. Goodluck, I think it will be a tough game for both teams friday with Franklin on top 24-14

I have not seen Antioch play, but my question is What would your predictions be if Antioch was playing Ravenwood or Brentwood? Franklin should have beaten Ravenwood (lost 2 OT's Ravenwood went for 2) Bentwood beat Franklin on 3 fieldgoals( I think all were 35t Yards). Final 9-7 I sure most people would say Ravenwood and Brentwood by 14 pts. To answer the question I think Antioch will have a short playoff run.

What kind of problem will it present for HC without William Henry at LB? Will they play McNairl At Saftey more? It seems he has played more defense week after week. I think it is the right call, but it scares me to think about him getting injured. If HC looses McNairl to injury they would have no offense and the playoffs will be a short run.

oooooooo, HCHS is going back to 5A in 4 years. There are more kids in the City and the County schools than have ever been (Inman and PES has over 150 more kids than in past years) . I wished HC would be able to stay because they can be competitive year after year in 4A. Unfortunatley they will move back up. I think these next 3 years is critical to win and establish pride and tradition.

Wow, so much to digest! The Prophet, sounds like Yanker is harsher than me. Yanker, you are not going to like this. HC last year 5A and are about 14 kids shy this year of . They are a strong 4A club. Yes they did lose to Kenwood who was also 5A last year and 4A this year.My point --( I will say not in all cases, but in most cases classification makes a diffence) I know teams like Alcoa, Huntingdon and Milan can compete with some 5A schools in the middle of the pack. They can't with the top team. Merryville vs Alco I believe the score was 41-21. I think what you have is an average 3A club vs a better than average 4A club.HC by 3 td's As far as the fans being louder at away games. I think the reason is, when you travel most of the fans are parents of kids on the team or kids that go to the highschool. It really means somthing to them. At home you get armchair qb's like me that like football but it really doesn't matter if they win or lose.--just a thought!

guess who's back? What happened against Kenwood?? I thought HC would beat Kenwood by 30 and lose to Brighton. I am really questioning my football knowledge. Or, Maybe it is just highschool boys that are so unpredictable. My prediction on this one, HC wins big. I admit I know nothing about Liberty, but these boys from HC have been through a year of 6-5A and are now sitting on top of their new region and I believe they will stay there. Maybe they lost focus against Kenwood, maybe Kenwood is a tough team? I don't know, but the reality is it matters "0" as far as the playoffs.

I agree Henry by 30+ pts. I know you guys are glad to see I am on the same page. Just kidding, HC made a believer out of me with the victory against Hardin. Unfortunatley, business is taking me out of town for 2 weeks. I will miss the Kenwood and Brighton game. Sounds like Brighton game will be Big. I expect some good post to read when I return.

This is going to come as a surprise to many, as my posts have all lead to HCHS being a year away. I believe I was wrong. HC has proven to be a physical team that is determined. They have a chance to run the table.. I am surprised, but that is the great thing about young men and highschool football, it is unpredictable. Good luck to HCHS the rest of the way and watch out Region 7 HC has confidence and is playing with a swagger!

Just as I said I have been wrong in the past. I do not believe I have said anything offensive about any one individual. I am just giving analysis on what I have seen and heard. I thought that is what this board was for. The problem is people get to personal and start name calling. I am not a ###@###. Good comments are like the ones from The Prophet, He doesn't agree with me and he told me why. I respect that and can understand where he is coming from.

What kind of question is are you a hater? I love high school football and like to give my analysis on teams and games(I like others can be wrong). I did not seen the Ridgeway game, but was told Ridgeway was a decent football team just poorly coached. I did see the Dickson Game and I saw two very below average teams go into overtime. My prediction on HC against Munford for the fourth spot is based on the first two games and what I saw from Brighton. Did you know JCM lost to Germantown by 2 pts? JCM will walk through the region and compete for state title. They are full of athletes that can run.

Do you really think HC will go 8-2? I seen the DC game, The only true athlete on the field was HC QB. DC was very below average and almost won. DC could not run the ball only because lack of speed. They passed at will, they just have no athletes(and if you know the game of football you understand what I mean By athletes--I think the HC QB is one) I stand behind my prediction HC will compete with Munford for 4 spot.

I think you are right JCM will run the table. Brighton is the surprise team. I think they will compete for 2nd with Hardin Co. Henry and Munford will battle for the 4th spot.

Blow out Brentwood by 35. Dickson Co is very slow. BWood QB qill have a field day. He will run and throw at will. Dickson Co will limp through the season 2-8 at best.

Guys, Don't get your feathers ruffled, I like many others on this board like to give realistic views on the outcomes. I agree, many things can happen and HC may end up 7-3. That in my opinion is unrealistic. HC lacks speed and this will hurt them in this Region. To answer your question,Yes I have seen Brighton play. They have a kid by the name of Tim Sparks. He can fly and that is why they are 2-0. He will be a problem for both Hardin and Henry. I wish HC the best of Luck, I think they are a year away.

I sure hope 50 pts are not scored. If there is Hardin will win big. Henry Co has a good defense between tackles. The secondary is suspect to the pass. Dickson Co gained alot of yards throwing the football and they are very slow and did not have a playmaker. Henry Co needs a low scoring game to be sucessful. If they keep it low and give McNairl the ball time and time again they have a chance.

7-3??? don't put thoughs high expectations on this team. I think 5-5 is possible with 4 spot in Region. That would be an improvement. The truth is DC was very weak. They will be at the bottom in 6-5A and will not make playoffs. I am glad HC has moved Regions because their is not alot of difference in the two teams. HC should be excited moving to 4A, this will help in future of program, but this year the Munford game will be for the fourth spot. The Region will end up as follows JCM, Brighton, Hardin CO. I think the PATS can do it and look for the 7-3 next season.

I am going to stay positive, but how do you learn to win when you are always getting beat. A loss is a loss, getting beat by 1 or 50 in the end, the loss column is the same. This game is very important to the outcome of HC season. Learning to win??? These boys must win or their confidence will be lost.

Just read the paper and I read that Dickson has a little more speed than last year. That makes me a little nervious. Maybe that is just typical coach hype? I hope so. It seems to me that HC has trouble with people that run well.

How good is Dickson? I am getting two reports. One they are weeker than last year. The other is they are big and physical. Does anyone know? I heard Lincoln Co. beat them in a scrimmage a couple of weeks ago. Do they have any speed?

I agree don't give up, but HC must find a tailback. The only offense HC has is the QB and everyone will key on him. Dickson Co is weak again this year. They play power football as always. Dickson will not make the playoffs in Region 6-5A.(Thank goodness HC is out of that Region---Speed) I think it is a must win for the team or they will end up the same fate as last year.

Dickson Co is a little better than they were last year. They play the same type of football. This is a long rivalry for HC and will be close. HC should have better skill position players than Dickson. Hardin Co has 2 D-1 pospects that will give HC all they can handle. One is their dual threat QB and the other is their TE/DE. They like to throw the ball and this is HC weakness.

I am a little concerned by some of the players, coaches and fans comments that they do not believe they can beat Ridgeway. If they are going to have a good season this does little for confidence. HC could be looking at an 0-3 start. How will they stay motivated when they will concede defeat in their opener? After Hardin Co the road becomes a little easier. I am worried that HC has no team speed or atleast showed none against Marshal Co, KY. The Jackson schools will be able to run. I believe HC must beat Dickson Co to avoid another 2-8 season. Yes, they will have a chance in the last game of the season to make the playoffs if they beat Northside (3-7) only because they are in a 6 team region. That will reward them with a game against Melrose! Maybe not, but having confidence in yourself and your team and coaches go a long way. I would like to start hearing we are going to beat Ridgeway and show some confidence.

I am amazed at the lack of respect for Franklin in this game. Riverdale is a great football team, no question. They have accomplished alot this season 14-0. They have great athletes and coaches. What about Franklin? Do you not think they also have great coaches and athletes? (13-1, lost by 1 point to rival Brentwood) If you think the state championship was played last week, you are in for a surprise! This is going to be a very close game. Franklin and Riverdale are very good defensively. Riverdale is a little better offensivly. Yes, I said a little. I too thought Franklin had a poor offense until the last 2 games. The coaches have put an offensive scheme that fits these kids and it works. They should have scored 28 against Brentwood(penalty and a fumble) and did score 30 on Germantown. Riverdale better not underestimate this offensive line from Franklin. They have controlled the line of srimmage the last two weeks.

Huskers that is a pretty good analysis of this team. The only thing I see differently is they are more athletic than they appear. They has SPEED. Look at the way the defense runs to the ball. I think they limit themselves too much on offense. Two keys for them to win this game. Unfortunatley it will be on the offense. One- stretch the defense. Mikrut can throw the long ball, I think they need to let him throw the ball down field more. This will spread the defense and open the up run. Two- Stay with one QB. They did this at Brentwood and they stayed in a rhythem.

How good is Germantown this year? They do have been beaten 3 times this year. Was anyone injured during those games? Do they still run the wishbone? Tell us a little about the 2004 Germantown team.
