The District 6-A tournament will begin Friday at Lookout Valley, with the play-in game between Sale Creek and South Pittsburg. The two split during the regular season, with each team winning on its home field. The winner of this game will take on the top seed Lookout Valley in a semifinal game. Chattanooga Christian will take on Whitwell in the other semifinal. If anyone has information on game times, please pass them along? Also, how does everyone think the tournament will turn out?

Lookout Valley and CCS split with each other,but Lookout Valley holds the tiebreaker for scoring more runs than CCS. So if that is the case it looks like this: #1 Lookout Valley #2 Chatt Christian #3 Whitwell #4 Sale Creek #5 South Pittsburg

In District 6-A, Whitwell and Sale Creek are tied for the #3 seed. They have the same district record, split with each other, and tied in runs scored against each other. Who gets the #3 seed?

Ooltewah is hot right now after winning the Trojan Classic this weekend. The momentum will probably carry them to a sweep over the Trojans.

Walker Valley at 28-2 is having a heck of a season. Don't be suprised if they make a run at the AA State Championship.

Toby Woodlee of Grundy County is hands-down the District 6-AA MVP. He is just dominant on the mound.

You could combine the best from every other team in this district and still not the beat Walker Valley.

Whitwell (6-11, 2-3 6A) defeated Lookout Valley (10-8, 3-2 6A) 4-0 at Lookout Valley High School. Nathan Sartin picked up the win for the Tigers throwing a complete game 3-hitter. Jordan Ryan picked up the loss for the Jackets. The Tigers were led by Drew Shadrick who doubled and had 2 RBI. Taylor Lawson and Eric Fine also added doubles. Jordan Ryan and Jason Henderson doubled for Lookout Valley.

Ryan Headden will continue his baeball career at Chattanooga State.

21st Century's baseball team is a joke. The program needs to be dropped. I wouldn't waste my time bragging about such a meaningless win.

Sale Creek's field is extremely bad. There are rocks all over the infield and a big stone out in right. The light poles are actually inside the fence, meaning a ball that hits them is in play.

The only real challenge the Tigers have this week is Jasper. The schedule for the week is extremely weak for Whitwell.

Brent Layne threw a perfect game this weekend against South Pittsburg in the Mountain Valley Invitational.

I think Distrcit 6-AA will be a war between these 3 teams. They will finish in the top 3 but where they will finish in that 3 will be a toss-up. I haven't seen Hixson or Grundy, but I have seen Jasper and they looked very solid. Brent Layne should lead this team quite a ways. They have a solid 1-9, and the pitching and defense is strong Grundy has Woodlee and Sitz on the mound and Brewer behind the plate, so they could co a long way.
