  2. This is the real "tiger34" and I was just informed from my cousin that someone has posted under my name. This thread was not started by me.
  3. come watch the myles show hopefully he wont mess the game up for them. HOLD ON TO THE BALL 5!!!!!!!!!! Give it to Pellam !
  4. Whitwell plays Notre Dame this week (homecoming), who crushed Polk County (gave Tyner a run for their money). The Tigers may have their hands full this week as the Irish are looking for revenge after a close homecoming loss last season. Boyd-Buchanan has an off week before finishing the season against Copper Basin. With last week's win Boyd clinched the Region 3-1A Championship. They have outscored region opponents 164-0. Matt Peardon of Boyd-Buchanan (162 points) is 5 points shy of the single-season scoring record for the Chattanooga Area. The current record is held by Tennessee RB Gerald Riggs, who set the record during Red Bank's 5A State Championship season. Any details from the South Pittsburg-Copper Basin game? Stats are listed in the Chattanooga Times Free Press every Friday. Those listed above are ones that were in the paper. Boyd has already clinched the #1 seed for Region 3-1A and Copper Basin will be the #4 seed. The Whitwell-South Pittsburg winner will be #2, while the loser will be #3.
  5. Boyd Buchanan won 56-0 tonight against Lookout Valley. Matt Peardon rushed for 3 TD in the 1st half and had one called back. Boyd was up 35-0 at halftime and didn't play the starters in the 2nd half. They have put up awesome numbers in the region, outscoring their opponents 164-0. Whitwell lost a 14-6 heartbreaker against Grundy County last night. For the Jackets, Dustin Fults returned an interception 85 yds for a touchdown and rushed for another. Jonathan Pellam led the Tigers with 115 yards and a rushing touchdown. Whitwell had 2 touchdowns called back because of penalties. Region players listed in Chatt-Area Leaders: Rushing (Boyd) Matt Peardon 173 carries 1,312 yards 22 TD 7.6 YPC (Copper Basin) Aaron Kaylor 150 carries 870 yards 7 TD 5.8 YPC Scoring (Boyd) Matt Peardon 24 TD 144 Points Tackling (Lookout Valley) Josh Goins 40 solo 42 assists 82 total 11.7 TPG (Whitwell) Ryan McGowan 40 solo 41 assists 81 total 11.6 TPG Sacks/Tackles For Loss (Boyd) Matt Henley 11 Fumble Recoveries (Copper Basin) Jared Orton 4 Interceptions (Boyd) Tripp Wingo 6 (Whitwell) Marcus Manning 4
  6. Whats the latest and who scored for Whitwell?
  7. Matt Peardon of Boyd-Buchanan is a solid choice. He will help lead the Bucs back to another state title.
  8. 1.Boyd-Buchanan (far and away the favorites to repeat in 1A) 2.Whitwell 3.South Pittsburg 4.Copper Basin 5.Lookout Valley
  9. Region Standings with remaining region games Boyd-Buchanan 2-0 games remaining with Lookout Valley and Copper Basin Whitwell 2-1 game remaining with South Pittsburg South Pittsburg 1-1 games remaining with Copper Basin and Whitwell Copper Basin 1-1 games remaining with South Pittsburg and Boyd-Buchanan Lookout Valley 0-3 game remaining with Lookout Valley
  10. Whitwell almost made a huge comeback last week at Sequatchie County, but lost 20-14. Grundy got hammered 41-14 by Coffee County. The key to this game is if the Tigers will be able to contain Mr. Grundy County, Dustin Fults. The kid is a great athlete in baseball, and basketball as well. If Whitwell plays like they did in the 2nd half last week then they will beat the Jackets. Does anyone know how long it has been since Whitwell has beaten Grundy?
  11. Monterey wins and stays on track for 2nd place in the region and a home playoff game in the 1st Round.
  12. McMinn Central will continue their suprise season with a win over the Hustlin Tigers. Howard will dominate the halftime show.
  13. Tyner will continue to roll through the region and shouldn't have any problem with the Indians.
  14. I will go with Rhea County, but I am long past predicting games in this Region. This region is probably the most competitive (with its self) than any region I have seen.
  15. Region 2-AAA TUESDAY Bradley Central at Ooltewah 7 p.m. Soddy-Daisy at McMinn Co. THURSDAY Championship TBA Region 2-A/AA TUESDAY Sweetwater at CCS 7 p.m. Hixson at Grace 7 p.m. THURSDAY Championship TBA Division II East TUESDAY Knox Catholic/Webb at Baylor 5 p.m. Notre Dame at GPS 7 p.m.
  16. By the way, does anyone know how long it has been since Whitwell has beaten Grundy County?
  17. If the Tigers show up and play like they did in the second half against Sequatchie, I think they can beat Grundy County. Whitwell must contain Dustin Fults to win this ballgame.
  18. Whitwell:Bubba Austin-UT Chattanooga Chatt Central:Joe Despaux-UT Martin
  19. Pellam did get a nomination but on coacht's link he was listed under D-2.
  20. This Week Whitwell will travel to Sequatchie County this weekend in pursuit of their 3rd consecutive win over the Indians. Sequatchie County is much improved this season and Curt Bureau has been a huge spark, replacing Jordan Cain at quarterback. Last Week Whitwell defeated Region 3-1A opponent Lookout Valley 39-14, improving to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in region play. Jonathan Pellam led the way for the Tigers with 161 yards and 6 touchdowns on only 15 carries. Lookout Valley is extremely young but the program is rebuilding with a new head coach. Region 3-1A Standings Boyd-Buchanan 2-0 Whitwell 2-1 South Pittsburg 1-1 Copper Basin 1-1 Lookout Valley 0-3 Next Week at Grundy County
