  1. Glad you can spell something right...Yeah, that was a very nice dunk by #4, he's really got some ups. But I guess you didn't realize that Greer didn't just back off and let him dunk that time or the next time, and you know what, he shut #4 down the next time he went up for a dunk with a hard block, but I guess you don't remember that But, I will say, Sprinfield is a great team and should go very far in the tournaments. They shoot better than any Springfield team I've ever seen. It was like playing Sycamore again, only much more athletic. Good luck to Springfield in the post-season.
  2. That was exactly my point, make up the Northwest game on Monday, then you're still playing the district game first, but according to theoldballcoach that whole district is making up their games on Tuesday and cancelling already scheduled games. I don't know why they're doing it like that but oh well, whatever,I don't really care anymore. The game is probly gonna be on Wednesday so I'll see ya there.
  3. Greenbrier's JV is dominant this year, they are 14-1 with that loss being by 3 points to a VERY good Station Camp JV team. But that doesn't matter because it was Greenbrier's FRESHMEN that beat Springfields JV so GB's JV would probably kill SF's JV. And of course you wouldn't want a regular game the night before a district game. That's exactly why they should have kept their original game with GB on Tuesday and rescheduled thier district game on Monday, like everyone else in Tennessee. Rescheduling Northwest on Tuesday has nothing to do with playing the district game first, before the regular game, so you're not making any sense. All they had to do was reschedule the district game on Monday and then keep their ALREADY SCHEDULED game with Greenbrier on Tues. That way they still would have been playing their district game first, without messing GB's schedule up.
  4. Well if Springfield's gonna be good the next two years, does that mean Greenbrier's gonna be better, you know, since GB's freshmen beat SF's JV. Oh yeah, we weren't supposed to talk about anything but varsity... So, about varsity, its kinda funny how Springfield decided to reschedule their make-up game with Northwest on the night THEY ALREADY HAD A GAME SCHEDULED WITH GREENBRIER. That is just absolutely ridiculous. You can't reschedule a game on a night you already have another game scheduled, especially when you're gonna be the visiting team. Now, I'll try my best to give SF the VERY LITTLE credit they deserve b/c they did offer to make it up, but only on nights they knew GB's coach would not agree with...Wednesday(Church night) and Thursday(night before GB starts their district tournaments). All SF had to do was schedule to make up the game with Northwest on Monday like every other team in the state of TN is doing and keep their ALREADY SCHEDULED game with GB when it's supposed to be, but they had to be difficult. And to make things worse, GB had their homecoming and Senior night scheduled for this game. If it wasn't for these two things GB's coach probably wouldn't have even considered rescheduling the game with SF for Wednesday night, and I probably wouldn't have either after SF did their best to ruin GB's last home game, but as it stands now, GB will probably reschedule the game for Wednesday night so GB can get their homecoming and senior night in. Thanx alot Springfield But, on the bright side, I get to spend Valentines Day with my girlfriend ...
  5. You can't put Goodpasture in the top spot yet, if Station Camp beats them, SC takes the top spot. I know it won't matter when it comes to who gets the buys, but it will make a difference who they play in the second round.
  6. Oh believe me, we know how quick they are, we remember very well. That game was probably the worst turnover game we have had this season and that's what we're gonna have to not do to have a chance in this game. And running alot the next few days probably wouldn't help all that much b/c its just a few days and that would probably just make us tired by gameday so we'll just have to go with what we got Anybody would take it personal if a ref runs by and sarcastically says "Merry Christmas" to the bench when the team is losing pretty bad and there has already been some trouble with the refs earlier in the game with bad calls. That just shows how much of a jerk he is and makes him look more than suspicious...
  7. Well actually I think our biggest games of the year were last week agianst Goodpasture and White House b/c they were district games that decided where we stood in our district. And our biggest games of the year from now on will be the first round of the district and the first two rounds of the region considering we win in districts. Don't get me wrong, this game means alot to GB and its fans, but since they're not in our district anymore, it's not AS important as it would have been a year ago. Still looking forward to it though... But, anyway, as of now, we haven't done anything in practice THIS week to get ready for NEXT weeks game. We had one game last night and we have a game this Friday that we need to concentrate on before we start concentrating on next weeks games. And even then, I imagine we won't do too much different in next weeks practices than we normally do an any of our other practices.
  8. Just so you know, I didn't mean anything by that last post, I was just bringing up an old saying. I have seen some white boys that can jump outta the gym and make it look pretty too...
  9. Not so fast now.....with WH beating Goodpasture tonight, that gives Station Camp the chance to take first place by tournament time.....we'll see.....
  10. So I guess you belive in that old saying "white man can't jump" :justwrestle: BTW, being able to jump doesn't mean "better" either :justwrestle:
  11. Oh really, well I'm sorry then, I just figured WH didn't get along that much with GB. I guess it's just a good ole rivalry, in basketball and football. Now that I think about it, nothing really happened between GB and WH the other night like it has with GB and Goodpasture and Station Camp and Goodpasture so you're probably right, it's just GP that doesn't seem to be getting along with the teams in their new district this year. Anyway, good job against GP tonight.
  12. SC won by 12. Good game to Josh Jones who couldn't miss a shot in the fourth quarter, and Justin Brinkley who led SC with 20 points. Good luck Friday night against Goodpasture. Yall got a great chance to do something nobody thought was possible after GP went 8-0, and that is take the first place spot from GP. Good luck.
  13. Greenbrier will win this one big, by at least 50. They might even break the school record for most points in a game against this horrible Station Camp team ...
  14. I understand what you're saying, I was just saying that Utley is quick like a guard and can handle the ball well and drive to the basket well for his size, KINDA LIKE a guard. And Utley may look stronger, and may be stronger, but Lance won't back down, he definitely plays stronger than he looks.
  15. Sorry, I'm not much of a Seinfield fan, but that's okay, I might try to look out for that episode, so I can get a good laugh.
  16. Nah, Jay's more of a role player. Lately, he has been coming on and making some great passes from his point guard position and turning it over less, which is what he'll need to concentrate on when we play SF b/c they know how to put on the pressure.
  17. No disrespect taken, you know I always love to play the top team and look for the upset too, even if there is another game in between. I just wanted to make sure you didn't forget about our game, b/c if you did, that would be a bad loss when yall had to forfeit b/c you didn't show up Yeah, we've definitely had a friendly rivalry for the past few years, hopefully nothing changes tomorrow night. Remember, we're gonna have to pull together to get some wins come district tourney time b/c I know GP isn't gonna cheer for either of us when we play and I'm pretty sure WH doesn't like us too much either so we're gonna have to have each other's back and cheer each other on...
  18. First of all, it's west TN, not just Memphis, and who from middle and east TN do you honestly think is better than Young, Kemp, Chism, Varnardo, and Evans (Young being the only one of these players actually from Memphis). Plus gomab gets just as many players from middle TN and Kentucky as he does from west TN. And to be honest, the only two people on the above list that were on his team this year were Varnardo and Evans, and thats just because he recruits some of the best, and those two are my picks for 4th and 5th, the other 3 that weren't on his team being the finalists this year, so gomab isn't showing that much bias at all, he's just putting who the best players are in TN and they just all happen to be from the west TN area.
  19. Hey, I got your back, Ragland. Personally, I would say all four of the top teams in this district are pretty even and I think they're gonna end up in the right places going into the district tournament. 1.Goodpasture 2.Station Camp 3.White House 4.Greenbrier. Now I do expect some people to get on here and say GB isn't as good as these teams, but they just havn't found a way to win in the end yet, and that's why they are in fourth. They lost to WH by 5 and 7, GP by 6, and SC by 12 who they play again tomorrow night, which by the way Ragland, I wouldn't have made this topic till yall played GB tomorrow night but anyway ... GP is definitely not 20 points better than SC (or WH or GB) but I would pick GP in this game, however I think they are due an upset before tournament time and SC is the perfect team to do it. BTW, Station Camp and Goodpasture might be new rivals in this district, but I can guarantee you, Greenbrier and Goodpasture are pretty much rivals too, either that or they just don't seem to like each other too much, especially after that last game. But anyway, one of us, or WH, needs to knock off GP sometime, I think it would add to the rivalrIES...
  20. Just so you know, Greenbrier has two players that are taller than anybody on Springfields team. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying taller is better or anything so don't jump down my throat, I'm just saying Logan isn't the only tall player on this team. Lance Adams is 6'6" and is strong as a bull, kinda like Utley but taller, not as quick though; to me, Utley plays more like a guard. I actually think these teams match up pretty well, SF is just more athletic than GB so GB will have to find some other way to beat them.
  21. Every single post you have about basketball is about me being Logan, and I've never said yes or no. The whole point of having these user names is so people don't know who we are, so of course I haven't ever told you who I was, and I'm still not going to. I like watching people guess, it's kinda fun... And okay, sorry I was wrong. I apologize to Mitch(considering you're right about it being his dad) but at least I was in the right family.
  22. Hmmm, if you're so sure you know who I am, why don't you try to catch everybody else up again by giving us your guess on who Cougars2state is... There's really no point in trying to defend myself or anyone else for that matter bc yall seem to have all the facts , but I do have one question...Who does Greer have to be jealous of?
  23. Okay, I'm starting to tell you were a little out of character in your first post or two and have kinda calmed down about how bad yall are going to win. So I just want to say good luck to yall to, and hopefully none of this animosity will carry out onto the court and ruin such a wonderful, loving day
  24. I've been as truthful as I can be, but since you don't think I am, I'll just say this..."I'll start being honest when you start being honest" Why is it that on just about every thread you reply on, you try to take on a new identity and deny your Greenbrier background...like some of the same people on this thread don't read all the other ones where you've been "discovered", please, give it up and quit hatin on GB when something happens between them and GP and then loving on GB when it comes to your lil sister or when the HS team wins against another team you don't like (unless you're bipolar, and then I apologize). Considering I actually do play, what makes you think I play soft. Or are you talking about the player that fouled CJ, bc that wouldn't make much sense. I'm confused, I just don't understand what that sentence has to do with anything else that has been talked about, unless you're just trying to find another way to bring GB and it's players down. I agree, it was a hard foul, and he obviously didn't accidentally run into him. But also, one thing I've heard from 3 or 4 people is that as he got past the defender, he looked back at him and jumped as high as he could to shoot it (yes, even higher than he normally jumps) and all of these people came to the same conclusion...he wanted to be fouled. I don't know if that's true but if it is, then he got what he wanted. If not, then again, I'm sorry he got hurt. Also, CJ has a very bad attitude, and it definitely showed throughout the game when he was getting all ticked off every time he went down hard and after the game when he threatened a GB player and talked back to the GB coach, so maybe he deserved what he got.
