I agree with coachrop. You have to go with Mont. Cent. since they are defending champs (to be the man you've got to beat the man). I do feel that it will be a 3 team battle for 1st between Mont. Cent., Cheatham, and Harpeth. Mont. Central probably has more pitching depth than anyone(they always do). Cheatham is very well coached and came on strong last year at tournament time (pitching would be a question mark for them). Harpeth has a new coach and returns everyone from last year I believe, experience should help them alot. I would predict Mont. Cent., Harpeth and Cheatham playing for the top three spots with Waverly, Sycamore, Creekwood, and Stewart Co. all battling for the 4th spot in the tournament. Never count Waverly out they do what it takes to win. The real question is do any of these teams have the ability to advance past the region tournament. I don't think that any of these teams have done that in the last 7-8 years.

Any word on who Ezell Harding will hire to take Coach Smiths place? I heard Coach Smith might be taking 1 or 2 assistants with him to Independence. The talent there is probably not as good as when they won the State, but they still have the potential to be a very good single A team.

Is Coach Rewis taking any assistants with him? I am curious to see how Williamson County fills this position (will they stay in house, local, or go out of state?) In Williamson County is it up to the principal only or will they have a committee? Are there any local coaches interested in this job? I think that it has potential to be a great position for somebody.

cbg wins the "name the mystery coach contest". Although I know someone who applied for a position at FRA and they said that faculty members did get tuition breaks. Keep in mind also that FRA is in competition with a number of private schools in the area and how good your athletic programs are often influence people to attend your school. I imagine that FRA would not have any problems cutting Smith a break if they thought that he could help the program become one of the top ones in Nashville again.

Aydelott is at Hillsboro High which is a public school. The coach I heard about is at a private school. His Name has been mentioned for every head coach opening in Tn. on the this board but I really think he will wind up at FRA.

Inside info says that the deal has been in the works for a while. Plus at private school tuition breaks for faculty members are often times as good as pay raises.

When was the last time that the 2A championship game did not include Lipscomb or Goodpasture?

Can anyone name a very successful private school coach that currently has children enrolled at FRA and has made it known that he is interested in making a move?

I saw where metro has taken down the job posting for Whites Creek does this mean that they are interviewing now? Has anyone heard any other names that applied?

If this is true and Tharpe is leaving has he said why? I have hard that his school system has not been supporting athletics for awhile now. Who is in line for the Sycamore job? Is it Halstead??? I think he is the offensive coordinator.

I know that it is early and that things don't often shake out in Metro till later in the year, but does anyone know if any metro Nashville schools are looking for asst. coaches? I have heard that it is hard to get a coaching job in that system. If anyone knows anything I would be very appreciative of the info. Thanks!

How did it go? Did the Administrators present seem to agree on a stance? Will they meet again?

Is Springfield looking for an offensive coordinator? What type of offense have they run in the past? What direction (offensive style) are they looking to go in the future?

Take Smith out of the picture. Sources put him at another 1a private school in Nashville next year.
