It has never been easy to make it out of Memphis. This is year is just like all the other ones.I say its harder for a memphis team to make it to state than any other team in TN. All im sayin sayin about the polls and JNS is this....MAYBE(and this is just me) the only reason WS is ahead of them is because JNS lost to more teams in state. Easy schedule hard schedule... a loss is a loss and thats the way the pollsters are lookin at it, I GUESS.

Haywood is ranked 5 in the state. Kickapoo and East Hall were ranked top 25 in the nation. Kind of a difference there wouldnt u say btown

Look out for Ernest Fields and Wesley Channels from Ridgeway. They both really hold thier own with Pierre in the middle. Ernest is a monster on the boards and Wes has a sweet outside shot and is developin his all aroubnd game.

It doesnt matter who we beat so far, the people on the polls THINK White Station is better than JNS so they voted for them. Gomab you think tht JNS is better so you would vote them ahead of us.Apparently, JNS doesnt have the respect of other pollsters. 2 of WS losses have come to teams that have been ranked in the top 25(East Hall by 3 and Kickapoo by 3) all out of state. JNS lost by 12,13 in state to good teams but teams that werent ranked. I agree with Harris's Hooligans. IF the Richard's ankle gives out in substate and cant play state would they still be your favorite to win? Im also wit HUCK. Forget the rankings. Yall are speculating to much into them. The State Championship is decided in Murfressboro not in the newspaper?

Im gonna give a reason as to why White Station could possibly be ranked higher than NS. NS has lost to more teams inside the state of TN. White Station has only lost one game in state and that was to Ridgeway who i think is higher than both of them(im not sure on that but im guessin).Thats one possible reason. Like i saw someone else say on hear. the Polls are meaning less. If ur only inspiration for playin is to get a number one rankings something is wrong wit u and ur team. Lets wait untill March and then we'll see who the best teams in the state are. Holla

Its kinda hard to play at White Station. The fans can get rowdy and the team hasnt lost a game in the "Spartan Palace" since Feb, 2001

Believe me Gomab, Coach Warren has clamps on JP. U say that Jp doesnt pass enough to his talentd teamates but yet he stills ends up wit about 6 assists a game. I should kno because i keep stats. His talented teamates are happy wit the role they play. If u remember back to ur 2 losses its because JP's talented teamates couldnt hold a lead. We were up by 8 in the 4th quarter when JP fouled out and we ended up losing. Somebody gotta step up. Colin is doin what he can but its hard when defenses key in on those two. Jordan Miller is a good young player but he is YOUNG and Coach doesnt feel that comfortable wit him in the game late. Big Chris has been hurt. Joe and Marcus are coming on but we need them to be better. Dre still has to get his attitude in check before Coach believes in him again. Curtis comin off the bench is good but he can be erratic sometimes. Reggie P. is good but his shoulder injury holds him back. David can give u 12 a game but he makes crucial mistakes at crucial times. We are a good team and people should still fear us. When JP and Colin are both on.it over for anybody.

You act like JP cant posterize people. Watch the Cordova tape and u will see that he posterized two people. If u go to the BTW game about a month ago u will see another poster dunk. JP can posterize people also

Gomab, have u seen JP play this year? If u have, u would have noticed that his outside game has improved and is only gettin better. Maybe because i see it progressin everyday at practice is what makes me see the change. Who did u talk to about JP? What game did they watch? He doesnt have to play point on our team, he chooses to. Dre Bynum, our sophmore takes care of the point for the most part. Jp is averagin about 7 assists a game. How many do u want him to average before u call him unselfish?

Our next test will be Cordova Friday and then we go to Charleston for a Christmas Tournament

arent all teams beatable?Anyway, We are 6-1 wit the one loss coming to Carbondale.We will be fine but its nice to see people still doubtin us. Yall doubted us last year and what happened? Yall doubted us two years ago and what happened? Yall doubted us 3 years ago and what happened? Ill tell you what happened? WE WON THE STATE TOURNAMENT!!! So keep on doubtin, we love that. Its nice to see that people in East Tennessee still think about us. Im a manager for White Station and the team this year is fine. Our record is 6-1 rite now and our only loss came to Carbondale High from Illinois in the Marshall County Hoopfest. We lost by 3 in overtime. J.P and Colin lead the team and junior center Chris Williams takes up the middle. J.P is averagin about 24 points while Colin throws in 12 and Chris about 10. Our bench is good and is growing to be the second team that we need. Although Coach T is gone, Coach Warren is doin a good job. I will admit tho that we have been in some close games wit teams we should have blown out, but a win is a win. We gotta play better defense. Anyway, I hope this was enough info for yall.

That was a great game but to me the game of the day was Mitchell-Hamilton. The ending was awesome. Although Hamilton blew Mitchell out the last 2 mins were the best. Hamilton's Jay Watkins dunked on Mitchell's Thadd Young but not to be out done Thadd comes down and THROWS IT DOWN on Hamiltons Jeremy Williams. There was so much contact in the air that Thadd came down with a cut eye and the right side of his face was swollen. He had to go to hospital. I thought he hit his head on the rim but he didnt. That was a great way to end a day of basketball

Hey Gomab, how are our TN boys doin at the different camps

Gomab, we are agree to disagree on the Prince/Delk matchup. If u ask me, I look at both Delks as bein shooting guards but i only saw one game and that was teh state championship. I think JP is a true PG but both Delks will give him a run for his money.

Fairley and JNS will be the top two teams but please and i stress PLEASE dont sleep on us. WE gonna get ours and if our big men progress the way i kno they are we gonna cause some problems. We have 3 big men(All over 6'6, not to mention Colin and JP but they arent big men) and none have had the Varsity playin time but as the season goes on they will be good. Believe me! We gonna give Fairley problems and once again we are on top untill somebody knock us off. Its gonna be a fun season.

And as much as i hate to say this...watch out for Ridgeway and Bradley Central

Hey GoMab who all from Tennessee went to the NBA Players camp.(the only one o kno is JP) and how did everyone do?

I have seen all these players play and agree that they are the best in the state. If i had to name 2 i would have to say Brandon Wright and Tyler Smith with Jamot and JP comin in a close 3rd. I admit that im a bit biased because im a manager for White Station and JP and I are real good friends. And since I live in Memphis its hard to see the rest of Tennessee stackin up to our talent level but they do. If I had to put a squad together it would go like this(from what i've seen):

PF-Brandon Wright

SF-Tyler Smith

C-Pierre Niles

SG-Jamont Gordon

PG-JP Prince

Memphis has a lot of talent that is ranked in the nation

Anothy Mason Jr., Rashaun Cromwell,Thaddeus Young,Lawrence Kinnard, Vashaun Ingram, RIco Seay, the list goes on. Watch out for these players on the AAU circuit.

Not to mention the Delks and Willie Kemp. All these players are ranked and deserve respect.

Well I talked to JP Prince and Colin Cunnigham(players on pump&run) and they told me the same thing. They said that some players went from Vegas to Cali to Phoenix to Memphis and some went from Vegas to Detroit to Memphis. All of the players arent even home yet. Kinda crazy situation.

If schools in Memphis werent winnin, would we really care if they r recruiting? just a question. Nobody cares if losers recruit.

Yall act like Memphis is the only place where people "recruit". WIth open enrollment an athlete can go anywhere so its nuthin really illegal. The only reason people look bad on Memphis is because its documented. I bet schools in East Tennessee "recruit" also its just not out in the open.
