Im a student of the game and i became a manager so i could learn more about the game from a Hall of Fame coach, Coach Tippett(was inducted this year).Lawrence Frank(head coach of the New Jersey Nets) was a manger in high school and college and look at him. Just sayin dont think managers dont kno about the game they manage. You learn a lot keepin stats and sittin in on coaches meeting.

I guess all the managers in East Tennesee are girls but even if u look at Ridgeway's bench they had three male managers. are they losers to? Goos season Siegel. You had a good run and u brought joy to a lot of people's lives during your run to the state. If any of u Siegel fans wanna talk to me "face to face" about how weak managers are ill be in attenedence at the Murphy Center 2morow. Just come find me. How about West Tennesee? Its an all West Tenn final in both AA and AAA. Maybe Memphis can bring home two gold balls.

Im from Memphis and I'm a manger for White Station and if Ridgeway plays the way both times they played us tonight.. Siegel should be happy with a 10 point loss.

Hey king of this city, If u look back to some of Gomab's earlier post he always had Jackson Northside winning it all and if I recall JNS is still in. Get yo facts str-8. He also chose a Ridgeway-JNS final a few weeks ago after the regionl tourney.

I dont think that Siegel has a chance against Ridgeway tonight. Last night wasnt Rigeway's best game and they still pulled it off. I have seen Ridgeway play much better teams than siegel during the course of the year and I just dont think that Siegel has the fire power to compete with Ridgeway. It all will come down to guard play. I think that Siegel might be able to contain Niles but i dont think they will be able to stop Was and Mike from goin off behind the three point line. Last night was my first time seein Siegel playin this year since we beat them in the summer. THey have gotten better and MIGHT give idgeway a test but i dont see it. I say Ridgeway by at least 10

I agree wit u that Reginalds will to win is bigger than JP's. He didnt want to lose last nite. I saw you at game. Were u the guy in the Mid-State Ballers jacket talkin to TSU's head coach? I was rite in front of yall wit my WSHS jacket and 3 rings around my neck. Anyway.. I think the Mr. Basketball voting was done about 2 weeks ago. Im not sure but thats the way they did it last year. They vote for Mr. Basketball rite after the season so post season doesnt count. Thats how they screwed my god-brother Derrick Byars out of the award his senior year. He and Andre Allen had identical years but Dre's team beat Ridgeway in the city and he won the award because of that game. Derrick came back and beat him the region semi's and went on to win state but it didnt matter because the voting was doen after the city championship. They mite have changed the ay they do things but i think they already voted and i think JP got the nod because of his regualr season numbers. I love Reginalds game and he does do things on the court that JP wouldnt do. That was my first time seein him play since we beat them in the state last year. He has really improved and if Ridgeway doesnt close out on him and Richard then JNS will come back to Jackson wit the Gold Ball

Ridgeway plays Fairley tonight in the Regional championship at Ridgeway at 6:30. Both of these teams have good chances of winning state and I expect this game to be a state championship game atmosphere. SO does anybody have a prediction? I think Ridgeway is gonna win. Both teams matchup great with Fairley getting an advantage in the size category(the combo of J-Rock(Jeremy Jones) and Wood(Reginald Owens) are bigger than the combo of Pierre and Earnest Fields.) I give the nod to Ridgeway because its gonna be hard for a team to beat them on their home court wit so much on the line. The loser of this game will more than likely go to Jackson and play Jackson North Side for a chance to go to state.Nobody wants to do that. Fairley went last year and lost, I doubt if they wanna go back up there again. Ridgeway and Jackson North Side split two games this season both winning games at home. To tell the truth, now that I think about it, I dont want a Memphis team to win state. That way it makes White Stations accomplishments over the years look better.

Wooddale uses the stall ball technique very well. Wooddale is capable to run and gun wit the best of them but their coach uses it in situations so he can control it. If u remember when Wooddal played us(White Station) in the district semi's they ran and didnt stall. Coach Johnson probably felt that his team had a better chance of winnig if his team played that way. They prolly woulda won if Mason didnt make such a great play at the end of overtime. I dont like them holding the ball but its all about wins in march, wheter the score is 2-0 or 125-123 a win is a win. Just didnt work out for Wooddale last nite.

Well gang, its over. Fairley ended our season tonite. They beat us by 3 or 4. I dont really remember the final score. The game was played just like the city championship game. We were up by 10 in the 2nd quarter and we let them back in. Its been an up and down season and i hate to see it end. I hope somebody from Memphis wins it all since we cant. Gotta say Congrats to the seniors J.P, Colin, David, Marcus and Joe, and myself. We went undefeated at home in our four years with 3 state championships. I hate we couldnt get four but i guess my three rings will do. I know yall are happy to see us out of it now. This is Slim signing off for good. Ill holla. Gomab get it right. Its our second loss in a row. We lost 3 out of 4 not three in a row. We could lose to Fairley on Monday but i think our boys will be ready for the game. We aint gonna let Fairley beat us for the city championship and end our season. It should be a good one. Our losses this week has been a direct result of bad coaching. Coach Warren constantly makes the wrong decisions. He doesnt prepare the team well in practice either. He gets in our kids head and has them scared to play ball. This week he acted as if he had never saw a box and one defense before and that is why teams beat us. He wasnt ready for it and it showed. Hopefully this weekend will give him a chance to reflect and see what he needs to do to take this team to state.

Nobody cares about Us(White Station) anymore. If we play like we did last nite we will not 4-peat and that is what people have been sayin all year. As it is probably known, Im the manager for the team and last nites game was the worst we played in my 4 years here. Thats the worst loss we have had in the 4 years ive been. To me its a shame when u have an all-american on your team and he only shots 8 shots in the game. Wooddales defense was tight but Coach Warren took the ball out of JP's hands and we see what happened. Which is what people have been sayin all year. But the season aint over its just gonna be hard for us to make it out of memphis now. We mite have to play Hamilton, Ridgeway, and Fairley in that order to make it out of memphis

The game is at 8 at the Mid South Colisuem. It could start later depending on if any of the games before go long. District 15-AAA Tourney #1Ridgeway vs. #8 Collierville #4 Kirby vs. #5 Overton #2 White Station vs. #7 Houston #3 Wooddale vs. #6 Germantown White Station lost a coin flip for number one seed. The reason the Spartans are in the city championship is because Ridgeway has lost more games in state than WSHS has.

Here are the numbers for JP against Wooddale. 42 points in 22 mins 4-5 3pts 10-14 2pts 10-11 FT's That jump shot that JP didnt have this summer he found and is using it. Ever since the Ridgeway game(Jan 21)when he hit 6 or 7 threes he has been shootin above 70% from the 3pt line. Tonight was a good night for the team. Even Colin Cunningham got him a dunk in so it was a fun nite.This win puts us in second in the district and if we beat RIdgeway on Feb 11 we will be #1. If we win that game we go to the city championship to play either Fairley or Hamilton. In the coming weeks, there is gonna be some good basketball down here in Memphis.
