First of all, I mean tthat WC would not win easily. Second, do you not think every team "wants to win." What happens if CPA and WC both "want to win" in equal amounts. I'm sure CPA "wants to win" also. That's such a cliche. I tend to focus on more tangible things like who has the best players. Also, I suspect that CPA's home crowd will keep them plenty pumped. I think CPA wins.

CPA is a lot better than many of you seem to think. I don't care how much they "want to win," but I doubt very seriously that they will will win easily.

Good post. Ultimately, I doubt anybody affiliated withg FRA cares how they are perceived. They have a style and it has carried them this far. I suspect they will need to slow things down and give a tremendous defensive effort to win at Summertown.

This whole thing is semantics. He meant that Summertown needed to play with the lead as much as possible, not just at the end of the game. He's seen FRA play and he knows what he's talking about. Nobody can win without the lead, that's not news.

I see the humor, but it is very true in FRA's case. You don't want to from behind them.

I doubt FRA will do either of those things. They may mix in some man, and run when the opportunity presents, but they have become very good at dictating the pace of the game.

Don't forget that this is the first round of the state tournament. The winnign region team gets the luxury of hosting, but it is still a tournament game, thus subejct to TSSAA rules. I think it is a very good idea to give the opposing team, especially one coming from a long distance, tickets.

Thanks. That previous info didn't seem to jive with what I had heard. Somewhat ridiculous that you can't get on here and get some decent info from fans. The styles sounds completely different. FRA is playing pretty well, so I think they have an excellent shot to win. Sounds like they may also have a pretty distinct size advantage.

Thanks, but that doesn't help. I'm sure the fans will be great, but unless they are going to play, i would rather know aout the actual team.

I don't think anybody has scored 70 points on FRA in the three years since their coach arrived.

Apparently, the Summertown people did not even know they would be able to play in their gym, so forgive my questioning.

I don't particularly care where they play, but I am wondering where you get that info. I could be wrong, but everything i have heard says that Summertown can't host.

I have heard from numerous reliable sources, including people close to Summertown officials, that it is not. I understand the minimum capacity is 1,200 and their gym only seats 1,000.

The game will either be at Mt. Pleasant or Lawrence County. Summertown's gym is not big enough.

I agree. Once of the biggest misconceptions around is that FRA stalls. Not true, but not worth arguing. CPA won, but you have to question whether the 3rd Q stall was a good idea. From FRA's perspective , it shortened the game and they very much had a chance to win. CPA's defensive pressure is tough and they got some turnovers from FRA. They definitely had the momentum coming out of the half, but the stall took that away. Sure, the strategy looks great now, but Sikes hitting the two deep 3's was the difference, not the stall. If anything, it helped FRA.

I'm sure you are a real constitutional scholar. CPA deserved to win and did a good job, but they didnt "beat FRA at its own game." It was a good game by what I believe were the two best teams in the region. I still say CPA has enough to win it all. Sikes is a player.
