I apologize for starting a men's basketball discussion on the lady's basketball message board. I have created a monster to which I must put a stop. However, on the men's basketball board I have presented a question that addresses a topic very similar to this one.

Is Jajuan Smith the best player in SE TN? He very well could be. In fact, he probably is. But lets not forget that though he may score 30 a night, he is still 1-5 in his wonderful career against cross-county (AA as well) rival, McMinn Central. More points by one man does not mean more wins for a TEAM. Though there is no I in team, there is a ME. Score 9,000 young man--finish 3rd in the district. It can't be too terribly fun.

I would like to address GuessWho's instant predictions on this season's games between Central and McMinn. Jujuan Smith is the best player in the area, for sure, but Pete Maravich was unstoppable for LSU and his team went 6-25 every year. Why? Because in basketball, you can just let one guy score 50 and still win because the players that surround him don't match up well with your quality players, and trust me, from top to bottom, Central has more quality basketball players outside of Smith. So don't assume simply because Smith can knock down 40 or 50 that McMinn County will be any better than usual. Should I have sent this to the boys' board? I apologize.
