1. Sorry Frog, but to me it just sounds like someones a little jealous. If I didn't know better I would say that you would have some kind of relation to the other DE, and are kinda upset. Honestly, as much as I like Bobby, who looks at the backup DE's stats or PT? Just congratulate the team, and move on.

  2. The TORNADO will BLOW the train of the track!

    ALCOA 35

    TYNER 24

That is if DUMB !@# Reid Doesn't BLOW IT For the KIDS.

ALCOA Admin and FANS have a rude awakening when all this talent is GONE. Mark my word. You will see that they don't have a HEAD COACH.

what r u talkin about. coach reid is an awesome head coach and would do anything he can to help us out! ask anyone on the alcoa football team and i dont think they will tel you any different

  3. First of all...Alcoa wins. I've probably never seen a better 2A team.

However, I think that a good offensive team could really pose problems for the tornados. Alcoa is not a great defensive team (and yes I know they've put up some pretty amazing defensive numbers...but look who those came against). They are highly susceptible through the air, and the loss of their two top defenders increases the odds of them giving up points.

But still, Alcoa wins and rolls on through the championship.

alcoa will win not just because of the offense but because there defense is big and physical. we have mark avery and martin white at tackles who can basically destroy any o-line they want to. justin dunkin bobby keller and drew miller have greatly improved on there skills at defensive end and even though there arent brandon warrens it seems like they get they job done anyway they can. the teams we have played that may not be that great (no offense) the starting defense was out all of the 2nd half. Our offense on the other hand is dominating. dustin lindsey, shiverdecker, lanxter, sommers, love, and feigler, how much better does it get. but i guess we will see what the so called "RAM TRAIN" will bring to Goddard field friday night at 7:00 and it better be good with all the crap you guys are talkin!!!!

  4. The loss of Rae Sykes will become more and more evident as Alcoa moves through the playoffs. It won't matter against CAK but it will next week against Loudon. Next year Alcoa's talent will be significantly less and the year after that they won't be scoring no 91 points in their wildest dreams. Karma is gonna be wicked for Reid in the near future.

First of all, on this matter, you are terribly wrong. Alcoa loses 9 seniors. That means that there will be about 13-14 returning starters. 2- D Line starters return. All 3 current starting LB's will return. 3 out of 4 Secondary players will return. On Offense, There will be at least 2-4 very good RB's returning, including Chris Shiverdecker, and Darrell Tate. FB will return, in a very solid blocker, and suprisingly agile runner, in James Stultz. The QB will be Randall Cobb, a dynamic running QB, with a great Arm. 3 O-linemen return. Both Starting Recievers return. I don't quite understand how this is a major drop in talent. PLUS, there are many very good players that are on second team that see significant playing time already!

This "message" to the state probably would be more significant if it wasn't GP for goodness sake. A team full of my grandmothers wearing no pads could beat GP.

And people are saying that Alcoa is classless. What kind of post is this? How do you think it feels to be a GP player and read that? Is that what High School sports are about? I think not my friend.

Tom...it's great to be back my friend! I see your quite a few ahead of me now...don't worry ill catch you!

  5. Ok we'll divert?

Did BW Punch another Player, Yes or no?

Did he get ejected Yes or No?

If one of these Questions above are answers are Yes.....................He sits.

    My last post concerning BW.

    825725106

I thought you were done with BW FBE? All you have to do is keep your word...Your finished when you say you are. So let's try to keep this to the game.

  6. Well let me start by saying to Alcoa06 that if you don't know the facts of a story, then don't bother opening your mouth.  The counterfeit incident that you referred to in an earlier post was inaccurate.  Yes Scott Wilks and Nick Giles SPENT 5 dollars each of counterfeit money to buy lunch at school, but did they make it ?  NO!!!! Now that doesn't make what they did OK, because I will be the first to say what they did was wrong and there is no call for it.  They also payed their price for it.  Not only did they get the one game suspension, but Scott had to have his name all over the front page of the paper and received heck at every game we went to.  We had to take our L on our home field without our best player, now this year you get to see what that is like.  Even without him we took you all to the last minute and had a soph. RB fumble the game to you all on the 1.  I expect much of the same from Alcoa this week.  I figure this game to be a war that will stay close until the 4th quarter.

Something that i have not seen anyone on here mention is about the 6'6" soph. TE/DE that transfered in from GA.  I hear he is a monster that is gonna be as good/better than Hilsher was.  I think that he is going to be a difference maker in this game with his blocking and his pass catching skills.  He is also a very good DE.  Well i'll stop rambling now, just hadn't seen anything on here about him.

    825724919

Who is this that your talking about?

  7. As the owner of the site stated, it was a kid from Loudon's school district.

And it is a little strong the word Hate.  I don't think all of the student bodies hate each other per say, I just think some of the stuff is immature and those who commit various pranks against one another's school is fun, as long as property is not damaged or crimes are commited.  This is what makes the games fun, the clean rivilry stuff.

I got my tickets yesterday afternoon at Maryville and suggest everyone do the same because it will be a zoo in Alcoa an hour befor game time.  $5 bucks is a small price to pay for this great game IMO.

    Go Reb's

Anyone from Alcoa know what time the gates will open?

    825725520

    Gates open at 5

  8. Thanks Tornadofan15.... Man there seems to be alot of experts talking crap on here. Will the game be on the web or local radio only? Unfortunately I can't be there.

    825724441

    Unfortunately,

I think that it will be on local TV and Radio only.... unless 1470 AM has a webpage...You can check though!

  9. Great post!....sheeesh....I hope you are a kid. Prepare yourself for a truckload of Crow.  :(

    825724437

Just what I would expect from the great MLREB. :( ... Where are you gonna be sittin again? I gotta be able to see that look on your face after the game. :o

  10. I to am tired of the Brandon Warren subject.  The kid will not play because he was ejected---Period!  Provoked, justified, home cooking what ever.  The rules are the rules.

Next time play closer to home.  Let's see 5 hour bus ride, three hour delayed game finishing after 12 Midnight then 5 hour bus ride back home!  Day of missed school. IMO it was a stupid scheduling mistake and caused more harm than it did good for a team that is good enough to get a game on the home turf.  Play week one vs. MaryvilleThat is what Coach Reid was trying to avoid, not having a game before the Maryville game.  There I said it!  It did Alcoa little good playing Hop town.

Now the game.  D line Voto, Cable, Tucker, Wood or Killebrew (Killebrew, just got done with baseball but will play, and should)  Jackson and Smith will sub fresh at DT's  LB's Kimsey, Lawhan and Caylor  One of the best groups in the state all classes.  Valentine still questionable I think.  Secondary Maples, Tallent, Shiver Maybe Arrington not sure, but every one are just as fast as most of what Alcoa will field.  Very unsung group but there is no question this experienced group has what it takes to limit or even stop Alcoa.  If you think I'm full of it ask Memphis MelroseMelrose was held to 198 total yards of offence and if you think Alcoa could match up with Melrose this or last year your smoking something.  That group had the type athletes Alcoa has never seen and Maryville rairly.

Simple, If Maryville steps it up a notch and Alcoa has any type of mental break down, four or more turnovers, Alcoa will be beat again soundly.  The kids at Maryville have never bought into Alcoa's hype, nor have I.

I do think Alcoa has the kids to win the game and man for man they should but will they???  We’ll see Friday night, for now I am out of breath, sorry I got long winded!

    825724236

Well first off, let's be glad for Maryville's sake, that you aren't in charge of scheduling. You got to remember, Alcoa has got to travel to McCallie too this year, so even if it wasn't worth going to play a perennial power in KY, then at least the team won't be freaked out by a long road trip. Personally, I would much rather get the first game jitters out, so Alcoa doesn't start really playing until they are down 14-0 in the second quarter of the biggest game in the last couple of years.

Secondly, Your saying that Alcoa has never had better atheletes than Maryville? That's preposterous. I've known you to make some silly statements, but that is way out in left field even for you.

Third, has Alcoa ever played Melrose? Do you know what would happen? Let's see, if ya'll beat them by one, and you beat us by twelve...hmm seems like to me, that we would still be in the game if we played them.

C'mon FBE you complain about people talking w/o knowing what they are saying, but you , my friend, are doing the same thing.

  11. i honestly don't see alcoa attempting any field goals.  I know the guy from Alcoa kicked it through during the state title game last season, but if Alcoa is in "range" of a FG I think 9/10 they'll throw it up for grabs.

    825723110

Actually, on the first drive of the Hop Town game, we kicked a field goal, when I believe it was 4 & 6 on the 20. Coach Reid sent Guzzo off to a kicking camp, and he is actually a kicker now. Just the other day he nailed a 45 yarder.

  12. Will Warren's lost hurt more on offense or defense?

    825722198

That is a hard one JC. The problem is, Brandon was having a monstrous game at DE up in KY. However, he also had a couple great catches. I know we have enough quality recievers to make up for his absence, but TE is a big ? and DE is a slightly smaller one.

  13. Alright...it is time! The countdown begins!!! Lets get the talking started!!!

    1. Is Alcoa going to be able to play well without Brandon Warren?

    2. Will Maryville's offense be ready and prepared?

    3. Will Alcoa's offense be able to get passed Maryville's defense?

    4. Will Maryville be able to stop Alcoa??

    5. Will Alcoa be able to stop Maryville??

    6. Does Alcoa have an advantage over Maryville with the more experenced team? (now with one game under their belt and all starters back from last year besides one)

Good luck to Both Teams!! thumb

    825722011

    Yes

    Yes

    Yes

That answer will define the game...

    Ditto

Possibly, hard to say (First game jitters are out however).

  14. BW is not an idiot and that is uncalled for!  He may have been provoked and probley was.

Having been a few moons back around Fort Campbell/Hoptown I can tell you it can be a rough place to grow up around.

BUT if a player is ejected from a game it will most likely be result in a suspension, anything less is an injustice to the great game.

I am sorry for Warren; I know he wanted to beat Maryville very badly.

    825721745

Wanted to beat Maryville? Your jumpin out ahead of yourself ain't you?

  15. I thought that the WB fans were really excited about this year? Are they just lowering the expectations, because their high expectations were blown away last year? (That is in no way a diss to the team, or stating that they are not good...I'm just asking.)
