I think Lippe has done a great job instilling a great work ethic into the WC girls...they are constantly working to get better and understand why many of them left to go to the AAU program in Cookeville...higher levels of competition and better tournaments force you to either adapt and get better or fail. That being said, I hope you’re right... not sure how long it’s been since WC has beat CC girls but it’s been quite some time. That youth core can do some special things if they keep on working. I seen three of the girls play in Knoxville recently(smartt, Hobbs, and Kelsey) and they flat out balled and hung with one of the top AAU programs in the state... talent won’t be this teams problem.

I've heard the district tournament is at Shelbyville. But where is the region Tournament?

Lady Cavs played without a key player tonight but did just enough to win 46-44 vs McMinn tonight.  It was one of the worst shooting performances I have seen in a long time but the Lady Cavs dominated every other statistical category to win.   Big week for the Lady Cavs coming up next week.  @White County on Tuesday and vs Stone @ Home on Friday.  Looking forward to some big time basketball next week.

I have seen you post that McMinn was not very good. So< I'm guessing Cookeville is not very good.

Make sure you direct your hate at the appropriate source.  I personally don't care what you think of me, but you post on a social media site behind a fake account like any good coward would.  You don't post facts as you don't have correct information.  The Bearettes deserved 5 or 6 all district players last year, but you can't vote for people who aren't nominated.  As for Coach of the year, me and Gremore both voted him number 1.  Know what you are talking about before you speak.  I shouldn't even be replying, but people deserve the facts.  I simply use coacht for information as most coaches do.  It just helps to have facts.

Keep in mind that when they nominate several girls the rest of the district splits the votes up and they only get two players many seasons. My own daughter got left off of all district and played college basketball . Coach Reuter explained how the other coaches make sure how to vote to leave those girls off the all district team.

Just talked with people counting the votes . Said last year was the first time toney Williams has ever voted for Coach Reuter!

I think that is part of it.  I have watched basketball in this district for the entire Jason Reuter era.  There are a couple teams in this district that will never be able to field a team that will be competitive with the Bradley's, Cleveland's, or in recent years East Hamilton's.  The fact that Bradley beats those teams so unmercifully might create a negative impact on those coaches, it probably affects their voting.  I personally watched Cleveland play a completely outmatched Loudon team on Friday and play 14 kids evenly throughout the game to win by only 20.  If Bradley had played that game they would have won by 80 and so could Cleveland if they had wanted too.  Respect is not earned through humiliation, but by humility.

Bradley has won by 60 and played every player on their roster more the the rest of the district put together. Your out of your lane making statements about another program. I went to a few games that Rhyne Howard played 20 minutes and her team won by 40. Plus, their is a JV game in most cases at 3:30 before the varsity game at 6:00. Most people don’t know that many of those girls on some coaches benches have just played a (32) minute jv game.

Umpire don’t half to give out warnings.

That's the type of attitude that gives umpires and refs a bad Rap. Don't you think a decent human would warn a coach before they ejected him? In the video the coach did not seem out of line in his body language until he was ejected.

I agree with most everyone's opinion on this, especially BPM's, and Southtowner's reasoning... having said that, I'll bet dinner that Dusty was right in principal, if waaayyy over the top in reaction. Dusty doesn't go out of his way to be likeable, but he knows baseball inside out and backward. If the blue made a reasonable attempt at an explanation of the calls, I can't believe that Coach would risk elimination (before the ejection) by his antics. Whether his ejection was warranted or quick triggered, the rest is just Dusty being Dusty.;-)

I read were the coach said he was never confined to the dugout. Can one of the other umpires testify he was confined to the dugout. Do not like the way the coach acted after he was ejected , but who messed up first? The coach or the umpire?

Meigs should have a good team next year with all starters returning and a deeper bench. Game time coaching decisions seems to be their biggest issue.

I know Coach Powell pretty well, and take offence to your comment! I'd say he has done better then any coach in that district with the talent he has the last couple of years.

No telling how many Gold Balls Whité County would have won had the recruiting machine Ensell had at Shelbyville, been put in check.  Ensell brought in everyone from inside North America to build his program to be able to win a state championship.

I've heard Coach Insell say he did not have very many players move in , and that rumor has been exaggerated . I'm not picking sides here, and do know he had some transfers. But he claims they would have won several championships without any transfers .

  11. It sounds a lot like politics. Everyone wants to complain about the government, but don"t run for office! Good officials are slowly declining . How do  we reverse this? It's a pretty good paying second job. How about offer referee classes to college students as one of their electives ? Maybe training Military personal as a second side job? It will never be perfect, but I believe it can be made better. Where there is money, there are people willing to take it. I do not buy this trend about people being harder on refs now then the past. My memory as a high school basketball player was more people at the game, and even more people yelling at the refs. We now have more social media to complain about it.  This game of basketball is going to go on either way, good or bad refs, but as a fan I would sure like to see the best refs we can put on the floor!

I think the final order will be 1) Bradley, 2) Cleveland, 3 and 4) McMinn or East Hamilton. McMinn hosts East Hamilton and Cleveland the first week of February, which should determine 3rd and 4th.  Do you seriously think that all 4 of those teams will advance to region semis??? It wouldn't surprise me to see Bradley and three district 6 teams in the region semis.
Every team has off nights, so just accept that Bradley lost to Stone by double digits.

Hey hohmaster, some of us have missed you running you mouth on coacht! I'm bored and would love some negative comments about someone. Surly you can something to harp on?
