  1. Yeah. Kum By Yah and such! BTW...why doesn't someone start a thread about Who has the Best Student Section? With all this arguing and posters stealing passwords...let's just start ALL over!!!! Ok OAKLAND, calm down...I'm kidding man! We can wait until fall!
  2. As of right now...I believe I am. I've got some physical probs holding me back...but Galilee...I just hate to miss this matchup!!! If I go, Rudesill knows who I am OR I'll have one or two little redhead kids wit me!!! I'd enjoy meeting you too. I thought I understood you to be an Administrator, so icould ask some of your guys way before the game...as not to interfere. I've got that plus member thing where you could email me (if it'll work! I don't really know what all it does yet). Man, of course we both want our clubs to win, but hey...if it's meant to be, it'll be. Galilee, I just know that you guys are psyching those kids up with all that underdog /disrespect stuff. Not a bad strategy really. But these guys have gone at it harder this week than I've seen in a long while. Hard practices. Rudesill has just gone over the edge and pulled out all the stops! I'm sure the story with Mitchell is about the same. I just feel like our Seniors don't want to go out with just one more game. Especially this bunch. No dis to you guys intended either. Not at all. Let's just hope the refs let them go all out. Fair. But all out man. What a game that would be!!! Later FF
  3. Judging by past history, I believe they'll all step up for no other reason than the championship is on the line. They get up for the big games (again-dangerous way to play) and any one of these games could be these Seniors final shot in a Bolivar uniform...so I believe they'll leave it all on the floor and pull out all the stops. That is not to say Mitchell won't. I'm looking forward to it for sure!!! Just I know BCHS is capable of it if they bring it.
  4. That is a good point. I hadn't thought of it that way. They do have a good school as far as I've heard. BCHS has always had good young talent. I hope it comes on strong again. Now....just to beat Mitchell! Galilee...I'm not looking past ya man!
  5. I believe this team could win without Willie or Wayne...but both? Yeah, they might still win...but it wouldn't be near like it is now for sure. We'll find out next year what we've got. I don't think it's as bad as some fear though. Not having 2 players the caliber of Chism and Kemp is bound to hurt(2 major college players on the same team?)...but Rudesill has always seemed to find ways to come out in pretty good shape. We'll see. Liberty fans, and this doesn't apply to all Liberty fans: *You've got a fine team *There are many who give you guys your respect *You'll be looking at a similar situation after next season that BCHS will be looking at next year *But you've got some fans who need to quit hatin' on Bolivar so much. I mean, the same people who want Liberty's credit where due but don't want to give BCHS any credit for accomplishments that they've earned. Rivalry is good...but when really hard feelings get in the way, it can cloud your judgement. Liberty, just like Bolivar, still has 3 more games to knock down before they walk away with anything. And I know this team is focusing on Mitchell now. And I'm glad they are...because they'd better be. Just some thoughts...not intended to make anone PO'd.
  6. Never Man!!! "Old men like me don't need any sleep!" And does my wife ever give me fits about it. Rihgtly so I suppose! Nah, I've gotta ruptured disc in my back and it keeps me up pretty much after 2AM or so. Gotta have surgery eventualy, so I just prop my feet up and talk to you guys since I can't sleep! I don't have anything to do w/ it, but I do want that gold ball like Hamilton didl!!! But I believe Rudesill and the guys want it more!!! And I sure want it for them too!!!
  7. Hey now Prep...don't go knocking my guys around!!! Ah, I'm just messin' with you man!
  8. Hey, it's just that you've seen Slater and I've/we've seen Kemp is all/ I believe Josh can develop into a great PG in my opion...for what it's worth! If you think I'm knocking the guy, you're mistaken. Really. I don't even even think Willie would knock him either. I can't remember right off hand where Slater is going (is it at home at DL?), but Willie was rcruited by U of M and many other schools too---and I'm just drawing a comparison...no dis intended-I know it didn't come out just right. No matter, I'm sure Josh will be a great player. He sure played a great game thr other night!!! I never begrudge a kid a great career! I hope they BOTH absolutley run the floor!!! I'm partial to Willie and Wayne but that's just the way it is...I hope the best for Slater too!!! EDUCATION will be the most important factor! They prob just don't know it right now!
  9. Ahh go to sleep topdoggnbball. What are you doing up at this hour??? Talking about a scrimmage. And who does homework nowadays? (I wish more of my kids did!) Besides, didn't Hollow Rock-Bruceton beat them that night? Hey wait...uh, what time is it anyway? OK. Nevermind! Just messin' w/ ya is all! You're right. FF
  10. I'll sure give credit to Slater. No doubt. But on most nights he is no Willie Kemp. But seems to be pretty darn close...at least that night. Just my opinion and of course you can have yours too. Willie has pulled this off since the 9th grade. Has always managed the floor. Sorry I brought it up again at this late date guys.
  11. Your post kinda reminds me of how Haywood might feel too. Don't get me wrong...Coach V is my friend but I still want Bolivar to 3-peat... but Haywood must have the same mindset that you're speaking of w/ McMinn. They've also got talent and they must be tired of making that trip upi there just to turn around and come home too. Anyway....just a thought. Anybody's game now. By the way...has ol' Smooth Juker gone into his hibernation period??? I sure haven't seen him post in a few days. Last time he did, I've got to hand it to him...he reallly hooked up the people about the Regional Championship game. Oh well...just wondering.
  12. Whew!!! I thought I was losing what little mind I have left! Ok everyone else...insert joke here>____________________!
  13. Hey BluNWhiteH8Tribe! I personally have never written that Wayne was out. Unless someone signed on as me or something, I don't know how that would've happened! Now I have thought about telling that he was gonna be out for a game or two ...but I'm not that dishonest-unless it were true. Plus I wouldn't interfere with Rudesill's coaching bidness like that. And I din't even know anythng about Irvin until a couple weeks before he was suspended. Seriously man...If I wrote that I was SURE staying up too late!!!
  14. They beat us (BCHS) after he was gone. I just can't believe it'll be that much of a factor. Just check out who they have left. They'd just started playing him anyway.
  15. No one here is disrepecting DL. They played a great game! It's just a difference of opinion is all. If they'd (BCHS) had started that inside game waaayyy earlier in the game, he'd (Chism) have had more than that. But I know that is only if and it's now history. To each his own opinion.
  16. eridbro1, I don't know what you'd do in that case, or anyone I guess...but that could be interpreted many ways other than to just whack someone. By the way, he put Jerry Griifin on the floor about 5 minutes before that (and Jerry was no where near a layup. I saw this and I wouldn't lie on the guy...especially after all this time has passed). I don't believe there are any really hard feelings toward Liberty here at BCHS. But like I said...maybe the young man will learn from the experience. But I don't believe now that Coach Williams told them to play that rough. I do believe he told them something along the lines of play hard. Maybe this kid just took that too far. Over now anyway. Let 'em just play ball and may the best team win. Best to forget the past and move on. We'll all know in 10 days!!! I know guys...bump. I'm off the subject and I'll either get back on it or hush!
  17. I know you guys are sick of this...I prob would be too...but indulge me this: The game is on the line, and will likely be a tight game. But both Wayne and Willie thrive under these pressure games and to say Willie Kemp can't guard anyone is...well I won't call it anything out of respect, but you know what I think. Many other people have said the same in the past. I realize we are talking about a great player in Thad. So I'm not knocking him or expecting nothing but his best. But Wayne's injury in that last game changed the whole dynamic of Bolivar's play. But Mitchell won...and no crying here. At least we get to see two hopefully healthy, great teams have at it Wednesday! I don't know much about Thornton, but I know I like it when people doubt Wayne's ability in the big games--now that's an underdog! And a lot of people have really doubted him (and some dissed him) this season. But most of them are at home now. Bolivar EXPECTS Mitchell to bring it, so they will play up to it. Now that thinking HAS scared me this year. It's not always been pretty, I agree. But they usually get it done.
  18. Ok. BIGWEBB says above "21pts 12rbs enough said'...and that's right. But Bolivar came out after the tip shooting a bunch of 3's...which if they'd fell and the Tigers had gotten hot...well, OK that is great. But I can't/won't speak for Coach Rudesill, but I'm pretty sure he wanted them to take it to an inside game and take advantage of Wayne's size and Willie's floor control well before they did. This is just my opinion...but let's call it an educated guess. I mean DL would have shot 3's with them all night if they'd done it! But our guys came around. I kinda see what you're saying...but whatever Coach R has been telling them all this time seems to be working pretty well to have gotten them this far! Either way...they pulled it out...as they usually do, and I don't think you'll see that kind of chance taking during the tourney. I'd be surprised if you did anyway.
  19. Not knocking Irvin...even though I didn't like his play that night (and I did end up seeing it-it was more than just the one shot on Willie too)...but young people make mistakes. A lot of us have been there in one way or another. Maybe he'll learn from it. ...but Liberty doesn't even need him. They're good, and they're deep without him.
  20. I'm biased in favor of the Bolivar fans of course...but I've got to say that our administration and fans have really given credit to Siegel for having about the best cheering section in the state. So props to Siegel for that.
  21. I know it's not what you're looking for, and maybe someone w/ better knowledge will help you out, but one thing's for sure... whoever wins that matchup...there next opponent better bring EVERYTHING they've got. No joke. Neither one is overrated in my opnion. They've both beaten Bolivar this year, for what it's worth. But I'm sure you knew that.
  22. To win, they will have to step up. True. But even though it's ancient history now, when Chism was hurt in that ESPNU game in Jan., Bolivar lost by two without Wayne on the floor for at least a half( I know-a loss is a loss, but they held it to a tight game). So they can get it done when they get hot. That wasn't bad against a great team like Mitchell. Either way...I expect a tough battle.
  23. Don't tempt us! We may do it yet!!! Still a week to go... BTW...I have a lot of respect for Galilee and his posts.
  24. They've already got it in Bolivar just by being in the elite 8.
  25. I'm not knocking Slater at all, but Willie just can't have a fantastic game every outing. There is no player at any level of play that has a A+ game everytime. He might not have had his best game...but he did lead the Tigers to victory in a game that was looking pretty iffy until the 4th. And Wayne finished it with those very important free throws (in the 4th). Without those at that time...who knows?
