We also have to remember that this is the ref's first live game since last year, so I can see where they might miss one like this.
This is no excuse. They are paid to get it right, and there are plenty of scrimmage opportunities for the zebras to knock off the rust.

Jeremy Bosken of Crockett resigned today to become the OC at Cleveland. Hopefully they can get someone in there that can build on what he's started
Good luck with that...

Maybe, just maybe, Kingsport just doesn't have the talent to compete outside of upper northeast Tennessee. Maybe your little Johnnys just aren't that good. Is it even conceivable?

56-55, BA, in double OT in last year's championship. So this year, I'm predicting MBA turns the table, and some semblance of defense in the game, MBA 35 BA 28.

Losers love excuses. I love they play in a five team region now. Good luck finding six games around here. IMG is looking for games.
Like.

He ran 4.35 at UT camp 4:38 at SC camp and and everything in between
I think that has been the lure of some ofthe the d-1 schools ,,, that and he carries a very high G.P.A ..I think that is the rarity. A lot great talent playing ball and alot of smart kids as well, but finding kids that have great talent, great grades and are as humble as they come and put God above everything else seems to be real rare
No doubt he is fast, but are talking hand timed? Unless both these team camps have invested in laser timing, I'm calling BS on 4.3. Show us a 4.3 at a laser timed combine.

Nice job, Warriors

Eight Personal Fouls?!? All from Oakland? Anyone get thrown out?

Nice job Betsy! Public school power!

Wow. Chalk one up to the public school.

Score?? Any report on the game?

Bragging? Does that mean Fulton should expect help or he's looking forward to seeing the game?
I don't know. If you're going to the game, you can let us know. I just thought it was interesting. Now, if a couple of key players are ejected for the Irish, the conversation might become more interesting.
(guys, I'm just having fun with this. I don't have a clue beyond the Greeneville officials will be there and they are rumored to be a bunch of homers.)

When does the mercy rule start?

I'll pick Catholic by 28 points.
I herd an interesting fact this week. I guy I work with, a long time basketball ref, says he works round ball with one of the zebras who was bragging that he will be refereeing the Fulton Catholic game on Friday. What makes this interesting to me, is that the zebras are all from the Greeneville association.

Speed kills. Fulton by 4 tds.

I'm hearing Hilton as well. I seriously doubt their AD is even looking outside their little circle. Hilton may be a good choice though. But if they leave that play calling coach in place, nothing will ever change. I doesn't matter who the head man is, if they have the same offense coordinator . They need new blood calling the plays.

Congratulations to the Volunteer Falcons!

This is a even bigger game this year with pride and playoffs on the line for these two rivals. What's everyone's thoughts????
Ok, my thoughts: Boone by 12. Bosken whines all night.
-
Trojans by 34. Vikings are just in a low talent swing. It happens.
-
Interesting. I did not know this about Coach Venable. Point taken.
So, as I think I threw out before on this thread, this may be a real opportunity for Volunteer to beat South. 5 Srs, a ton of injuries, sophomores galore. Maybe the worst play caller in the area (maybe he'll go back to middle school track or whatever next season). Shh, I didn't tell you this, Falcon faithful, but look for the dive and draw straight up the gut. LOL Falcons are Senior heavy and a new coach. They have a new optimism in Eastern Hawkins Co.
Any score predictions? I am going South by 2. South until proven different.
The Falcons will come out fired up, but will burn out. The Rebels will start slow but pull it out late. A lady at work told me that there are a few kids at South that have parents with Church Hill ties as well, so that makes things interesting for those kids. Just a prediction, so feel free to gig me if ya need to. (I'm going the DB/SHHS game, so let me know how I did. )

I'll throw out a prediction as well. Toppers by 12. DB turnovers, dropped passes, and Clark throwing 4 times on a goal line situation. The fat old zebras will be overwhelmed in this one. I would look for a bunch of flags, and a bunch of sideline flags.
I'll be sitting on the SH side, as I said in previous years on here, so I can hear good ole Stacy whining and I can get a great view of him blowing his top. You can set your watch by him.

In my opinion Jones is far and away the best coach Volunteer has had. He is a very good coach. It takes time to build a program. If they give him 6 years he will have them winning playoff games and will bring respect. There is talent in Hawkins Co. Probably more talent not playing than is. Jones will get the kids excited about playing and you will see those kids on the practice field.
The best coach ever, far and away, was Darrell Watson. Then he went to DB and made Clark look good for a few years.

Tired of these niceties.
Coach Graham Clark. Go!

My kids weren't blessed, I'm in debt abd with one in college and another on the way it'll be worse by I made that decision. Not everyone there has a silver spoon.
I think you misunderstood. I said they were "blessed", not 'privileged'. I said nothing of you having silver spoons to distribute. I said your kids are blessed. The ARE blessed to have a father who would work hard to give them the best education you can muster. Tell me I'm wrong.

BVD, best to stick with your commentary as a fan, or like a color analyst. You do a good job of that from your perspective. You may want to avoid talking about rules, however I have do idea if the play in question was DPI or OPI, because I didn't see it. But saying someone got in someones way and "that's the rule", is way off.
