Report Are High School coaches underpaid? in Boys Basketball Posted January 17, 2004 yes. they are underpaid. if u figured out how much they make per hour considering the huge hours most put in, i bet it wouldn't be a lot. i have to believe many coaches dont do it for the $$$, but for the love of the game
