Clay County is playing some good ball right now, will that hold true tonight when the Lady Blue devils come to town.

AA---There are alot of exceptional players in this class. I don't know how a committee would actually pick but being from Cannon...of course my vote would be with Emily Sissom. Emily's career is very impressive. However, Emily as a young lady is also very impressive. Not sure if that plays into results from the committee or not but she is one of those kids that has so much more to offer than basketball. In watching Biles and Sells two others listed who are also in CC's district, Sells seems to be pretty level headed but Biles seems to have a little excessive attitude. She actually drew a fist against a girl in a game I saw her play. I'm not taking anything away from any of them because they are all exceptional players and on any given day we all have attitude but if looking at the person as a whole I would say Cannon's Emily Sissom would have to be in the top. Of course I'm sure those of you who know any of the others personally would have strong feelings about them as a whole person and not just an exceptional player. My vote would be 1. Emily Sissom, 2. Sells, 3. Biles....WOW what a district 8AA has.

I will agree with you on Biles. I have watched Mckenzie grow up and she is a great person off and on the court. I do not know Emily but I am sure either one of these two would be a great pick for Miss Basketball. Good luck to each of them.

Watertown should not even be an option, no parking, no seats unless you get there two hours before game time!!!

Trent Boles would be a good pick

Sydney Roach would be my pick she plays hard on both ends of the court. She is leading in assists in the Upper Cumberland averaging app 17 to 18 points a game.

Friendship has never beaten Jackson County in basketball so no excuses here. If they play this year it will be no different. Lets see you have two that transferred in after middle school two that transferred in this year one doesn't start the other can't play till the tournament gets here. Sounds like recruiting to me!

Some of you say the fans wre on the floor, dont you think the refs would have put them off the court. You want to say thats Celina for ya, what about the RBS and Macon Co. game now whose fault was that. Clay Co. has more African American kids than any school in this area so dont go there with the racial crap. #11 was clapping in one of our players face so dont act like you all had nothing to do with it. The refs were standing on the court when the fight took place just like 05 posted the incident several years ago was after the game was over and outside of the gym, we had to take punishment so you are not any different from Clay Co.

I have been to lots of games but have never seen anything like this before, yes Clay co. fans were cheering like most student sections do but as a player this is something you have to deal with. I know when we travel to RBS we listen to alot of crap but you dont go to the stands and fight. I hope this is being looked into by tssa. jc is 500 students not 700 but your count is understandable because its the same logic you came up with to get 2-1 except its opposite; TSSAA needs to let you determine the count then you could pick the teams you want to play and win every game. Now pat youself on the back when getting York players, Monterey players and Morgan county players and feel SOOOOOO good about winning then fuss about another school with more students beating you. A perfect world would be every school have the same amount of students but there has to be a line somewhere and neither of us draw it.We play 5 at a time same as our opponets whether they have 100 or 2000.We like other schools have a few transfers (not this year) but when a family moves here they can come out for sports like anyone else but thats just the way we are.I was talking about how many times in recent years has your biggest rival clay co. beat C'range.

Can you not read?? Indian posted the UPDATED figures for enrollment that schools turn in on a regular basis for funding. JC is exactly where they are suppose to be so deal with it. Your girls will just have to settle for 3rd place billy boby sorry

Billy Bob they probally are eligible for single A this year since all of their recruits are gone, enrollment is down again. LOL. Midtensportsfan, I do not guess there is any need of playing any more district games since you have it all figured out, and why does it bother you RBS schedule just worry about JC and RBS will take care of themselves

That would not been upset Clay co was pre season pick to win district , they got 4 starters back and Pickett, Jackson CO. and C'range lost their key players with other starters from last year. But they will make some noise and so will Monterey as they beat Pickett by 14 last night.

Clay only has two starters back from last year Burnette and Roach. It will be a long year for Clay unless changes are made. Ogletree is one of the best defensive players in the district, why is she on the bench can not figure that one out. Clay should have beat Clarkrange, Ogletree on the bench one of Clays best rebounders with the game on the line.

Godwin beat Celina by himself in football and him and dmac will lead this team to a district championship just watch an see boyz and girlz!!!

Dist 8A in this one....I watched CC play in a play day at Watertown and they were not what they have been in last few years. Coached got so pissed at starters he benched them for a qtr and a half. RBS will easily handle this game. Wes Grace goes for 22.

Clay also looked very well on Saturday against CAS with winning that game by 15. Sophmore Sydney Roach had 21 also, shoulbd be a good match up with Clay/Pickett

Well its not that hard to figure out but since you're having a little trouble let me help you out. Two of the teams in this district have won the last two gold balls and have the MVP of the state tournament returning on both teams along with great supporting casts! Clay County took 2/3 including the consolation game that put PC in fouth place coming out of the district tournament. Clay brings back everyone but one player and they are loaded with talent in the freshman and sophomore age groups! JC would have gotten beaten by a good middle school team the night PC beat them. They couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if they were standing next to it. Clay Co. or PC or Monterey would all have beaten them on that ONE night. We have all seen teams have those kind of nights. PC did what they had to do and did a great job. but saying they are going to beat JC girls again is like saying JC's boys are going to go back to the state tourney. It just don't happen people, well once every 35 years and thats about how often PC is gonna beat JC once every 35 years.

Clay does not bring everyone back but one player, they lost three very good players but I will say Clay will be right up there with the rest
