  1. Try being the expecting father of that tiny heartbeat and see how you feel. I think I get sicker from worry than the mom gets from morning sickness!
  2. I recall Marissa's older sister was quite a baller in her christian school days too. Miranda was a terror on the court. She could have held her own against any girl playing today! Never forget the up and under move! Hahahaha... ...sorry for the irrelevance of this post but Miranda's my baby!
  3. I'm not like most of you on here. I'm not a diehard fan that travels to all the games or listens to them all on the radio. I don't post on coachT very often either. I get on here and read post after post from this person and that person that either praises or criticizes these girls and boys that go out there and give their all on the basketball floor. I consider myself a truly un-biased fan of the game. I don't care who wins one way or the other. I just enjoy the game being played the right way by kids that want it bad enough. That being said, I'd like to congratulate Jackson County. They lost tonight to McMinn Central and it ended their run for another state championship. I'm sure that there will be lots of posts congratulating them and there will be an equal amount of posts enjoying the fact that they were beat. I just hope that everyone, especially the JC players, understand exactly what they have accomplished over the past four years. No matter what anyone says to you they cannot take away the past. You worked hard, you played hard, and you won. No one can win them all but you gave your fans the belief that you COULD win them all. To all the senior players, I hope you continue to pursue your other goals in life with the same passion and intensity that you showed on the basketball floor. On a personal note, I have known Marissa Hensley for a few years now. I am somewhat biased towards her even though I try my best to not be. I try to be critical of her and her game just so I don't show my bias. Now that the season is done I can say this, you are the greatest player I have seen. You probably do not read these boards but I'm sure someone will relate these things to you. You worked very hard to get where you are. PLEASE continue to do so in the future and continue showing everyone what a wonderful person you are as well and an exceptional athlete. To all the other teams left in the State, play hard and play smart. Play the game right and it will treat you right. Enjoy your time in the tournament. -laanxx99
  4. As a former resident of Smith County I want to send out a word of remorse for the loss of two of its children. I only found out about the tragedy from this message board as I do not get back to my old home much. I coached Jamie Evitts in Junior High School (Pleaseant Shade Elementary) He was a fine kid and made us all laugh. I am still in shock as I write this. I can remember Jamie making fun of me...I can rememeber it well even though it has been a few years. Man...I will never understand how the world works. I would like to send out a prayer to Jamie's familiy and to the family of the other child. I did not know them but I will pray for them andtheir familiy. I'm sorry..so sorry.
