  1. I'd have to vote for Bontrager at Ryan. like to see how a lot of coaches would do with his talent or how he'd do with theirs.
  2. reggie glimpse-cohn hs.....may have been pc by then. can't remember exactly. i was very young and lived close by. went to watch him play against east and tyrus b. it was an atmosphere i had never experienced before. hooked from that day forward on high school basketball. the game was great but i had to be home before the game was over and i never knew the final score. i am pretty sure east won. they(east) had another player i think his name was magic juan? very good memories. i also went to memorial to see fred jenkins and columbia play against east that year. vanderbilts db from columbia.....manuel????? something or another talked to me during the game( he was supporting his hometown guys) but it was a great atmosphere and i wish someone could schedule games at vu or murphy again between great east-west and midtstate teams during the regular season. also rememberred seeing sylvester grey- ron heury- and some other really good players then that i would have other wise never seen unless they made it to bigtime schools. thanks for the walk down memory lane...just wanted to throw my 2 cents worth in for dr. magic.
  3. side note: sat behind rick stansbury(sp?)forgive the spelling. i just know what the guy looks like from tv. i tried like heck to listen to what he was saying but he didnt say a whole lot. we sat right in front of the commando cheerleaders......and next to the hend. student section. so there may have been a couple of reasons he was disinterested in the game . i think it was his father sitting with him and whatever was said between them was sort of whispered. i dont know if there was a purpose to that or if they just are sort of quiet and not much talkers. he had his kids with him in their little msu basketball jerseys. i dont think too many people recognized him.
  4. Glencliff won easily. gordon got into foul trouble in the first quarter and sat out most of the half. hville was in the lead when he left, but the commandos didn't take care of the ball and the game got sloppy. lots of turnovers and the officiating was terrible. it was an ugly game. Hendersonville couldn't buy a basket in the second half and the colts played pretty good in the second half. wicke struggled. i just cant see the colts winning .........but they are into the final 8. something to be said for that. good luck midstate.
  5. cant wait for the 10 o'clock news....need info a tad sooner.
  6. emily perkins...yes she's that good.remember her name.
  7. looking for the place and time?
  8. don't be so humble renfroe.....folks.he hit a huge three late in the game that was big. and he held brewer to "only" 20 in the second half .....all kidding aside it was a heckova game. the real reason i am writing is to show respect to hfa and cory brewer too. hfa kids already have my deepest repects by the way they carry themselves on and off the court. cory brewer got some tough calls down the stretch and stood smiling with his arm on the ref's shoulder at midcourt as the hfa fans waved him a goodnight. it was all in good taste but i know it was killing him on the inside to leave on that note/call. i've seen jamont gordon play quite a few times and how good is he?.....well that's a question for another time, but i do know this. he's not in alex or cory's league when it comes to class acts. good luck the rest of the year alex. i'll see you at mlk.
