Wow i'm really going to show my ignorance now. I didnt realize teams started spring practice in feb. Does the weather create problems?Do many other teams start this early? Are basketball & baseball players excluded ?Are scrimmages hard to find? Ours is usually in late apr or early may.

Cookeville or maybe LC will prob '' make '' the run in this region.If WC does well i see them well behind Franklin Co and Coffee Co. I went to the Coffee Co. Warren Co. game last yr and other than 2 nice runs by the Qb I thought WC was handled pretty well.

Great game to both teams. Good atmosphere , spirit, and rivalry. Glad to see the students turn out and support their teams with so much enthusiasm. We should expect nothing less at a heated rival game. Coffee finally played a good 4th qtr. Barnes is def. a good hs player ,but ovc play is way above his ability. Naia maybe. Hope the competitiveness continues in all sports between these 2 schools.

Nels, let this be a Cookeville thread, dont stoop low enough to debate old wingy. As for Cookevlle,they will be a quality team next year but loosing 30 plus seniors has to impact the expectations for the 06 team. Losses at qb, rb,and on defense will be hard to overcome.Josslin will have them ready and they should be competitive with all of us in region 3.

Cookeville-- great coach, #1 till someone beats them. Qb & Wolf will be missed. LC-- may have the best qb in region 3, less overall talent than past LC teams. Coffee Co.--4 plays cost them 4 games in 05,returns 15 starters,must find a Qb, Fr. Co-- losses @ nose gaurd & rb will hurt.To many unanswered questions. Warren Co--Paz is gone, soft defence and a soft schedule =3 wins Cumb. Co.--new coach , new system, new school coming,what else????

I think Robert was the 1st player to enter off the bench and played really well. He plays a good bit in most games and may have started some.Adcock also played well off the bench last nite. Congrats to all the Raiders and lets really open up a can on Tullahoma friday nite.

Congrats to coach Taylor and CC on a big district win. Both teams played with lots of emotion and effort. LC had really good gaurd play and #42 was a real force under the basket.CC was fortunate to win considering the # of dumb turnovers. I was dissapointed to see 1 of the LC players walked off the court and didnt line up with his teamates and shake hands with the opponent,and then his coach not call him back and correct him. LC has to much class and tradition in their athletic programs for that to happen.

Unbelievable. Its totally unacceptable that a school system as large as we have in CC cannot or will not maintain our public buildings. Really sends a great message to people in other areas. Im embarassed as a resident and tax payers here should be furious. Coach Nunley is doing a great job as ad and should not have to deal with this type of problems. Foxworthy probably has a joke somewhere about what you are if it rains out you bball game.

Watched both teams play a very young sophmore laden team at coffee co. Wilson central was the last scrimmage before week 0 and Cookeville was week 2. Wilson never let CC in the game, while a CC turnover at Cookeville's 4 yard line cost them the lead mid 4th quarter. I felt Wilson central was stronger up front,had better skill people and more overall team speed than Cookeville. Cookeville has a good running back and lots of experience[30 plus seniors]. Both teams are well coached and will be ready to play. Congrats to both teams on great seasons. I hope Cookeville wins and represents region 3 well. My opinion tho is WC-31 Cookville -14

contrary to what many people think, most of us in coffee co are rational fans who are very proud of our young men and do our best to support the football team.i personally think they are much better than below average as we have been very competitive with cookeville,wilson central, franklin co,and lincoln co. the addition of teams like brentwood , overton, and baylor hopefully will help get the team ready for a trip to the playoffs. please let jake go to austin peay in peace. he is a great young man and his accomplishments on the feild speak for themselves. your comments of him will only get some loose cannons firing that i would rather not listen to. the kids have worked hard all summer and will be rewarded with some wins this season, hopefully that starts tonite.

brentwood appears to be a very solid football team that is well coached and has a really talented qb. coffee co is also well coached and has some key players returning but also has several starters who will be playing their first varsity game. if coffee co can fix the turnover problem and keep those young guy's settled down i think they can be competitive. i agree both teams want this game , but a early non region loss doesnt hurt either teams playoff chances. coffee needs some wins over quality teams such as brentwood to establish themselves as a really good team. i dont predict scores but if coffee co can stay within 4 points at the end of 3 quarters they have a good chance. early turnovers will put brentwood up big.

they did outscore centennial, but the game was a far cry from a thumping. cc got down several td's because of early turnovers but stayed calm and came back with 35 [or close] unanswered. conditioning looked good late in the scrimmage. offense moved the ball well but there is still some work to do defensively if they are to be competitive with brentwood.centennial had more skill players but cc seemed a little stronger up front.
